Suggest to the "experts" that the colapsed crain be lifted off of it's perch by a helicopter. If we have the tecnology to lift military tanks into war zones, why can't that be cosidered for the crain. The major draw back might be the elevation, but leave that to the pro's.
Two nights in a row, during and post the storm, AC ask about the mayor of Atlantic city about his "dust up" with Gov Christie. Nice job focusing on the important issues. Strong reporting.
Is there new news coming from Long Beach Long Island. There is no running water and very little information coming from Long Beach leadership.
I have been a huge fan of yours for a long time, I sometimes watch the news twice a day.
After watching the last news broadcast of the skyscrapper, It occured to me That A huge Military Heliocopter could
be attached to the broken part of the crane, and it can be moved away from inhabitated areas..It seems it would be a lot less expensive and safer. after its attached to the heliocopter, welders can cut crane platform free.....
By the way, you are really the only reason i still watch CNN... Michael
For the crane in NYC, is it possible to use a Military Chinook Helicopter to connect the boom, then once its secure cut it away from the crane and fly out the broken boom? Not sure how much the boom weighs but if the Chinook can handle the load thin could be a possible solution.
Use a Sikorsky helicopter to bring down that damaged crane. This is what they're for if you can't get up to higher elevations with another crane.
I am a truck driver that has hauled US Mail for 20 years. I have spent alot of time in Hoboken. My heart goes out to these people, and I have made donations to the Salvation Army for them. I am presently on time off, as no mail is going into or out of Newark, NJ. As long as there are problems here, I have no problem making donations. I live in the Omaha area, when we had horrendous problems last year with the flooding, we got very little coverage, I guess due to the few amount of people that live here, but we are very giving people here, and we totally understand what is happening to the people of the East. We Care.
Anderson Cooper goes beyond the headlines to tell stories from many points of view, so you can make up your own mind about the news. Tune in weeknights at 8 and 10 ET on CNN.
