Editor's note: CNN's special presidential debate coverage with Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer and the political team starts at 7 p.m. ET. Watch and join the conversation.
1) Candy... Candy... Candy
Sure, you'll be able to see her on some other channels/websites, but only CNN will have exclusive access to moderator Candy Crowley’s as she prepares for the debate. Dig into this insightful profile about the network’s chief political correspondent and host of Sunday morning’s “State of the Union,” check outadvice she’s getting from the CNN’s top reporters and anchors and listen to suggested questions posted by CNN iReporters.
2. Clip-and-Share Video on CNN.com
Want to hear that quote again? With this tool, you can be your own producer and pause, rewind, and cut your own video clips using our new “clip and share technology” on CNN.com and on the iPad tablet. You can also post key video moments to Facebook and Twitter. Check it out at CNN.com/debates.
I think it is unconscionable that Wolf or Anderson did not "fact Check" the statements Obama made about the comments in the Rose garden on the Libya affair. Nor did they admonish Candy for inserting herself as on-air "fact checker" when in fact, she was wrong, nor was it her place to insert herself into the debate (at any point). She was the (ineffective) moderator, and her peformance was way below professional standards. The Libya gaff was an amazing breach of trust in her role, but early on she made some comment about if she doesn't get control she will be "skewed" in the media... like this debate was even about her.
Double bad for CNN.... sorry performance when one of their own deserved some spotlight.
Why are Blitzer and some commentators on CNN putting words in Obama's mouth?? Obama NEVER put the "Act of Terror" or "Terrorist Act" label on the attack. And "attack" is the ONLY word he used when referring to the Libya terrorist attack. He later said "no acts of terror will ever shake.." BUT, this is NOT THE SAME THING AS CALLING THE ATTACK AN ACT OF TERROR....NEVER! While Obama did indeed use the word, this is not what he meant by it. Instead, he was simply referring to "acts of terror." These are two totally different things. Go ask a English professor.
Someone on Fox News just stated that Crowley has admitted she was wrong. Saw this on the internet: "Candy Crowley now admitting Romney was right on Pres. Obama's Libya remarks."
KUDOS To ROMNEY FOR GETTING IT CORRECT!!!!! Also, kudos to Anderson Cooper for admitting that Obama and Crowley were wrong on the Rose Garden "terror" reference.
Still undecided. On the issue of the economy, Romney blames Obama. Obama blames Bush and everybody else. When will some1 have the grapefruits 2 step up and place the blame where it belongs?... Clinton and his NAFTA crap which made it easier 2 outsource our jobs.
I am not surprised @ the outcome of tonight`s debate....clearly there was no contest.. Hands down the POTUS ttook charge....out the gate Pres Obama was the man....Gov Mitt tried repeadly to take him off his square to no avail...he (MR) was rude and desperate....he entered the debate with false sense of him being in the lead...Big Head....and responded like a teen...his new name is Mr. I know whaat it takes same thing Thr Pres last opponent said all the time..this election in about the future and as my 10 yo grandson said " Nana u r living in your future now"....Im just praying Go`,s will..God Bless us all.....I look forward to the next debate....and we all know who gotta bring their A game....respectfully
I was so impressed with Candy's handling of the debate until she backed up Obama's lie about Lybia. I googled his response the day after the attack and Obama did NOT say it was a terrorist attack. It WAS NOT Candy's job to intervene. She lost all credibility with me and I am disgusted that she helped propagate a lie to the American people!!!!! I know no one in journalism or the media cares anymore, but it would be nice if someone would have the courage and integrity to report the truth! The Ameican people deserve it!
Anderson, love 360 and the fact that you try to give a balanced perspective. With the just concluded debate today it saddened me to see the guests you had to assist you evaluate the outcome of the debate. It makes sense to have a minority talking head in your panel to truly get sense (balanced) of President Obama's performance. I'm sure you'd agree that the perspectives shared about Obama's performance warrant a minority angle. That missed entirely today at CNN under your moderation and I hope you can look into this for future exchanges. Thx, Mark
Just watched the debate and response from your network, I am completely shocked how hypocritical you all are, seems like I was watching fox news are you guys republicans???
Romney was completely rude and disrespectful however when Biden was apparently rude and disrespectful you all made a big issue out of it and now nobody said anything! And by the way the reason Biden was acting like that is because Ryan looked he just came out of college, a rookie thats why! Biden crushed the guy very easily.
Obama was presidential and simply controlled the debate you should have called a easy victory< Candy was a disaster
no control whatsoever, are we watching the same TV I am asking incredible you guys seem very weak in politics.
I think that their microphones should time off after 2 minutes to give time for more quesitons to be answered and any chance that I may have been considering voting for Romney went out the window with his lack of respect for the President and the "female" moderator. He acted to desperate and disrespectful to be a leader to me.
I am very disappointed with CNN coverage. I am a Canadian and don't really care who wins the election, but Romney was clearly lying during the debate on many issues. Whether it was drilling for oil on public lands or Libya. Romney is not presidential at all. Clearly Obama wiped the floor with Romney.
CNN...all channels are om your camera play and you are not being equal in how you are doing this for the candidates. It is amazing that every time Obama speaks he get full screen coverage with Mitt Romney in the distance with no face focus what so ever or no Mitt Romney at all at President's speaking time. And every time Mitt Romney speaks the president gets half the screen so the viewers can see Obama's face expressions. That is absolutely a manipulated screenplay!! You have to follow the same screen play for both candidates!!

2 republican plants (audience) in the debate so for.....about the embassy issue, definitely. the other was the women who asked about deportation.
smart U.S citizens have investments..........most investment companies utilize a genre of entities to invest in! So Romney, if we have an investment, even small, that small investment is invested in China, etc. There is no way away from it!
OK, people are so unaware, It is a program already that if your an immigrant that you can join the military to become an American, Romney thinks that people do not understand anything. Unreal!!!!!!!!!!!!
The program for educated immigrants is already in place, through the colleges!
and.......when an immigrant child is born here, they are considered an American immediately, they are born on U.S soil!
Obama tried to reform SSI , everything that Romney is stating that Obama did not do, Romney is not saying that he was BLOCKED by congress to pass it!
I think it is disgraceful that Ms. Crowley cannot be fair minded with both candidates. I find it horrid that she would blatently allow Pres. Obama to state inflamatory information but then refuse Gov. Romney the chance to respond. Shame on you for the biased! way you conducted yourself.
Separation of church and state, NO one has the right to choice for a female, and children, thus teenagers children. Over population is just going to make issues of economic downfall. Many societies have fallen in history because of over population because of sickness and economic issues. Any animal, thus humans are animals; will become extinct because of starvation, look at Africa and their health and economic issues. Obama care has NOT even become mandatory!
OK, enough, your speaking way too much! All talk no action for Romney!
President Obama inherited the issues we have, he took office while are country was already in the recession with Bush, but people were ignorant to it!
He has to pay 13 million dollars back to the oil companies somehow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That would be by your vote.........and estimated, gas prices are estimated at $15.00 per gallon by 2020, so it is a moot point !
He keeps promoting jobs, pipe lines and natural resources...........why is he not telling people that he took over 13 million dollars in campaign funds from the oil and natural resources "companies". This is what I mean, he is NOT telling the truth, Romney just wants to say what people want to hear!
It is a debate, be respectful of each others time. I am getting real tired of Romney being so rude. He is reflecting a control freak who is out of control. What would he do as a President, piss every country off, because of his rudeness. This country is not his company! WE the people and our government, candidate or not, respect your government and President!
Romney still will not actually say what his plans, he states all these issues, but he does not say how. Give an answer to the questions, stop apple-polishing the issues.
How can President Obama say that he is for graduate education when he got rid of subsidized student loans in the past year? I am currently a graduate student at Emory University, and my loans have doubled in interest because he has cancelled the amount of loans that automatically accrue interest. How does increasing personal debt increase interest in graduate education?
Anderson Cooper goes beyond the headlines to tell stories from many points of view, so you can make up your own mind about the news. Tune in weeknights at 8 and 10 ET on CNN.
