A great speech cannot change the fact that people are broke. When it costs $124 to buy bread, milk, cereal, snacks for kids' lunches, and perhaps some toothpaste and catfood, things are bad. I am a teacher and my wife is a nurse. We are pinching every last penny daily. Sorry, but I do not want four more years of this.

Don't mistake motion for progress. If you think Romney's Presidency is going to help those in your income bracket... you've got a harsh wake-up call headed your way.

The only way NOT to get four more years of this is to have President Obama back in office with a Democratic controlled House and Senate, so that some work can actually get done, rather than being stonewalled and fillibustered into oblivion. You have a right to be upset, but your sense of cause and effect has been warped by right-wing propanganda. The GOP will make things far worse if people like you don't see through their deceptions and wind up voting them in.

One thing I can say about the Democratic Convention, I know the plan for FY12-FY16. Even though President Obama still has more to accomplish, I believe he should have another opportunity as President. In the history of the US of America no President had to endure what he had. He spent more time cleaning up someone else's mistakes and mess. How can you leave the highest position in the land of the United States and not clean up behind yourself. What did President Bush do for 8 years? Can anyone answer that for me?

    Mr.Cooper
In all this talk about the need for women models at this DNC convention,Hilary Clinton ,arguably the most successful woman politician in American history,is absent.Indeed she is not even mentioned.
I would appreciate it if you would ask their people about this.A hero to my daughter needs to be remembered.
    Thank you
    GTHaley

    Thank you

Traditionally, the US Secretary of State strives to maintain a neutral position regarding US politics. As such, Hilary Clinton represents the entire country abroad, not just one political party. Her decision to continue the excellent work she has been doing around the world rather than taking a vacation to wave a Democratic flag in Charlotte is very appropriate and reflects how seriously she takes her current position.

She spoke well, but I don't feel any speech given between now and election day will have a great impact concerning undecided voters.

I feel strongly Ari, David Gergen should be eliminated from the panel. I hope not to hear the party line and last night was so awful. The question was how did the DNC do? Carrillo was right and he was also right the speeches didnt change the economy. Ari Fleischer and David didn't talk about the night but the RNC. It was disappointing from CNN.
