I enjoy Springsteen and McCartney, almost as much as I enjoy Joshua Bell and Yo-Yo Ma, but none of them should be allowed to force me to listen to their music, at any time. I like Anderson and I used to think he had his head screwed on straight. But I'm baffled as to why he chose to ridicule people's right to peace & quite in their homes by putting this story on the RidicuList. Why should anyone, regardless of their talent and following, be allowed to (and expect to be allowed to) set up their amplifiers in a residential neighborhood, and broadcast their music to all, regardless of whether or not they want to hear it? The fact is, some DON'T want to hear it. Those who live in the neighborhood and don't want to hear it have no choice but to hear it, or leave their homes until the nuisance is gone. IMO, the public concert should never have been permitted. (If you want to play, Great! GET A ROOM). The curfew was a compromise. So why was the plug pulled 10 minutes after the curfew, instead of 1 second after?
I agree with you, ridiculous decision...
