Romney clarifies his stance on the health care mandate. Erick Erickson, Alice Stewart and Ron Brownstein discuss what this means for the election.
Explain the Commerce Clause and Spending Clause and tell us,are our civil rights being stepped on ? What are the Civil Rights lawyer's saying in this discussion ? Most importantly, what are our Dr's saying about all this and how will the Political Health Care improve medical care and affordability ? Is there a factual outline of the cost breakdown so American citizens understand exactly what they 'll be spending and the cost. How many billions to implement ?
How about the politicians on both sides just start listening to the majority of the people. Where is the public option ? Where can we opt out of political health care ? You can't they tax ya ! Get the politicians out of our health care completely !
Romney didn't clarify his position, he changed it because it served his purpose to do so. To paraphrase, he claimed the Supreme Court has spoken and called Obamacare's "sanction' a tax and said that what they say goes. Well if he respects the Supreme Court so much, why is he going to try to repeal Obamacare given that the Supreme Court has said it is constitutional? I am dizzy from listening to Romney try to explain how what he did in MA is different from what Obama is doing nationally. I have yet to hear an explanation as to why gov't run, mandated healthcare was good for the people of MA but not for those in the rest of the country.
Anybody willing to explain this to me? I'd love to hear from you.
Just watched Erik Erikson from Redstate discuss whether federal mandate is a tax or a mandate. His case appeared to be that it does not matter what you call it, because it's semantic. He used the example of whether a leprechaun is a leprechaun or a little person.Perhaps if the right could distinguish that leprachauns are not real, but mythical and "little people" are actually real, they might be able to come up with a compelling message to get their guy in office:)
I have been watching CNN for several years. Being a Canadian I do not understand why the American people do not want obamas medical plan. My husband is getting ready to retire soon and we will lose his medical plan. Thank god we can pay monthly and get government coverage. When we reach a certain amount according to what our pension is we will then be covered 70 percent on our medications . When you are young you don't worry about when you get older. Just having been diagnosed with lung problems I am so glad we will have something. Give it a try and you will be happy.
What is the big deal about Romney's hiding his money out of the country. It is a part of his family character. Remember, his grandfather thought he was above US law and hid his assets in Mexico. List me as just an Okie From Muskogee.
Anderson Cooper goes beyond the headlines to tell stories from many points of view, so you can make up your own mind about the news. Tune in weeknights at 8 and 10 ET on CNN.
