A Florida judge has ordered the man who killed Trayvon Martin to prison. George Zimmerman’s bond was revoked after it was discovered he and his wife misrepresented their net worth. Anderson talked about the new twist in the case with Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, and the Martin family attorney, Benjamin Crump.
i wonder how this man will do in a prison full of african americans after he just got done killing an africam american teenager. Having been through the criminal justice system I can assure you that justice is rarely found in the courtroom, but instead justice is meated out in the back rooms and bathrooms. As long as his sentence involves some prison time, the length of his sentence will be irrelevant. look what they did to Jefferey Dahmner, brutally beaten with a mop handle while cleaning a prison bathroom. Zimmy, meet your new friends...
I wonder how Mr. Zimmerman is going to do when he goes to prison full of black men for shooting an un-armed black child. Justice is not always found in the courtroom but in the back room... or in the bathroom!!! Having spent time in prison I can assure you this man's fate is sealed.
I believe George Zimmerman's account so far. However his fate will be decided by a jury and I trust in most juries' decisions. If George Zimmerman is not found guilty, then that means the 6ft 3in, 160 lb, all muscle, pot smoking, burglary tool (screw driver) carrying (in his school back pack, along with a woman's fine jewerly that was not his mom's) Trayvon Martin, was a young black adult male attacking racist. He was months away from being 18 years old. Many violent crimes have been committed by teenagers and they have been tried as adults. It doesn't matter to me if George Zimmerman followed him and asked him what he was doing. It matters to me who attacked the other first and to what degree of violence followed. If Trayvon Martin was able to continue to slam George Zimmerman's head into the concrete, it could have resulted in Zimmerman having serious brain injuries or his death. Look at how much hate some black males have for whites since then and have attacked without provocation men, women, children, and the elderly. I don't like racists of any race. I am white but don't like white racists either. I have black friends. I have never been racist to a black person but some blacks have been racist to me. If I or my family get attacked by anyone I will defend myself and my family. The Black Panthers and Nation of Islam espouse white genocide and in some ways are worse than the White Supremacy groups. The various races in the U.S. can either get along, respect each other, and be fair to one another or we can kill each other. I think there is no disagreement on what God would want us all to do.
The sole purpose of a bail bond was to ensure that a defendant appears in court.
Let's see. We have a Teen minding his own buisness. We have an Adult worried about crime in the area so he follows the Teen. So far no problem. Next the Teen notices he is being followed and becomes aggitated. Makes sense to me. The Adult calls 911 and is given specfic instructions about what NOT to do. But he does it anyway. Here's where we now have a serious problem. The Teen then does what some Teens might – confronts the guy – then a fight ensues. The Teen has some responsibility in this matter but I submit the Adult has far more. I also say anyone who is ARMED has both a duty and obligation that comes with the possession of this Firearm. The Adult instigated this confrontation which is an action I would not expect a reasonable person to make. He disregarded the Dispatchers instructions which, to me, defies common sense. Next, there is a difference between fear and fearing for your life. There is also a difference between self defense and deadly force. You cannot shoot someone because you started a fight then find out it was probably the wrong thing to do because you are on the losing end. Fight back, yes, but shoot an unarmed kid? That defies the spirit in which the "Stand Your Ground" Law was founded. Was this murder? No. Was it self defense? Nope.
The problem with your theory is the part about the dispatcher giving advice. No advice was given. He was told simply, "We don't need you to do that" and not, "Don't follow the guy, we're on it". As long as you're parsing words, you may as well parse the right ones.
The point is exactly the same. He was told, in essence, not to but did it anyway. Ther is no technical arguement to make. It defies common sense. Strange concept? Reasonable action. There's another one. He's the guy with the gun. He starts a fight, loses, then shoots because he doesn't like getting punched in the face. When did we become so weak that if you lose a fist fight the winner is rewarded with a deadly force? It's manslaughter not murder. The only question will be how much time he gets.
This Earth would be better if we all had more love and Peace....We should not hate our enemies. Mistakes happen we are NOT perfect. Who are we to judge those who sin? He is guilty and deserves punishment but please keep in mind,,, for his sins,, our actions also make us sinners!!!.. More Peace..please..More Peace.
I don't understand how there is any question of his guilt.
Even if Treyvon Martin did turn around and pummel him, the facts are that:
1) He pursued the kid when he was told not to, carrying a deadly weapon, and forced a conflict through his actions.
2) He used DEADLY FORCE in a FIST FIGHT.
There is no doubt that he is responsible for what happened. The only thing in doubt is to what degree will he be charged with murder. Will it end up being Manslaughter, or Murder 2? That is the question.
No doubt about it, George Zimmerman is GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY, and will GO TO JAIL – the question is for how long.
"1) He pursued the kid when he was told not to, "
No, he was not told that. The police did not tell him NOT to follow him. They said "We don't need you to do that", and they have since stated that was not an order and Zimmerman was not lawfully required to obey it.
"carrying a deadly weapon," So? It was a lawful concealed handgun.
"and forced a conflict through his actions." So Martin was forced to attack him and beat his head in the pavement instead of just asking Zimmerman " Hey, why are you following me?" and resolving the issue in a calm, civilized way or calling the police to report being followed? No more than a question or phone call by Marton was needed to resolve this conflict, but he chose to initiate a vicious physical attack instead.
" He used DEADLY FORCE in a FIST FIGHT." Zimmerman used deadly force to counter potentially deadly force as used by Martin, i.e. having his head slammed into the pavement. He may have suffered brain trauma or worse if Martin's assault had continued.
Trayvon Martin wasn't not some little kid, he was a 6'2" youth in his physical prime. If someone larger than you is beating you to bloody pulp and has the jump on you, you will die unless that person decides to stop. A teenager amped up is not going to exhibit the best judgement, so in this case, if you took this event by itself, it is reasonable to use a firearm to disable an attacker who will probably bash your head into the concrete. As a military man, these things happen. The facts are plain and a jury will decide if George Zimmerman is guilty or not. The fact that he followed Trayvon does not mean he does not have the right to protect himself. It is sooo easy for people who were not present in that tense confrontation to Monday Morning Quarterback it to death. I believe that Zimmerman had the right to approach a suspicious person, as did Trayvon have a right to defend himself as well. The fact is Trayvon could have just used words instead of assaulting Mr. Zimmerman, and Zimmerman could have obviously not followed Trayvon and left it to the police. But in the end, decisions were made and the results played out. I do hope justice is served, but justice is not vengeance and both people involved in this tragedy made decisions that have led to the present situation.
These are the things that happen when we play cops and robbers like we see in the movies or when we were children. Zimmerman was armed and claimed he was on patrol protecting his gated community after recent break-ins. He wanted so bad to be a hero and he was packing a gun and felt like he was the law. He was authorized to back off after the phone call but continued to follow Trayvon and hey I would be scared too and try to defend myself if some fool is following me and I'm doing nothing. My question was why did Zimmerman go into hiding after killing Trayvon, he was big and mighty but after the killing he became timid and hide and act like a scared coward, give me a break. He knows the truth and dead man cannot tell his story, so he will continue to fabricate, but unfortunately a person who did wrong can run, hide and lie but they cannot run from themselves, eventually his mind will start playing tricks on him and start losing it, then it's called insanity. Death penalty is too easy, he needs to stay behind bars for a long time and wake up and have this haunt him for the rest of his life and also keep him from any more cops and robbers illusion.
lVery well said Veronica!!!!!
Treyvon was in the neighborhood because he wa expelled for having stolen jewlery and a screwdriver on his persons. When Zimmerman spotted him he was casing the houses in the neighborhood where Zimmerman lived. Sure, Zimmmerman followed the theif because he was reporting to the police where Treyvon was going. It was Treyvon who attacked Zimmerman – as one whitness said 'mixed martial arts style'. Zimmerman cried for help and only shot Treyvon when there was no other option as Treyvon was trying to kill Zimmerman. The Florida state proscecutor left out a lot of the facts when she charged Zimmerman with 2nd degree murder but, under Florida law, Zimmerman could have shot Treyvon when he first attacked him. Since the attack the press has continually failed to use a recient picture of Treyvon choosing to show him as a 7 year old, not at 6 foot 160lb football player with anger management issues and a record. And, of course Zimmerman went into hiding – threats had been made against his life and it was clear that Holder's justice department was not going to investigate those threats. The facts are there if you go to the police reports rather than the liberal media...
Why did Zimmerman exit his vehicle? The reason Zimmerman left his vehicle to follow Martin was because Martin left the street and was trespassing in someone's property, by walking between houses where he couldn't be seen from the street. With a rash of breakins in the neighborhood, anyone, of any age, of any color, in any clothes, is a suspect when already committing the crime of trespassing. What happened after that? Only Zimmerman, Martin and God know the answer.
there all at fault. the police, the parents, and gorge. police should be more alert of whats went on . the detectives should of been more alert to the hands of trayvon. it does not match up to his wounds on both ends. Not only that but if your not doing what your told to do for scholl then punishment is what is needed. If your suspended from school, somking weed... well where are the parents during this time? i am a single parent, i know rewards are for doing good and being good. when you have trouble in the home its the parents job to correct it. letting your kid go to the store on their own and be out late was wrong.Parents need to remember to be parentsfirst before trying to befriends withtheir kids. everyone is raised different, but you dont let your kids do as they wish regaurdless of what they wanna do. punishment and guiding is what was needed here and it did not happen, you dont want to do right in school and smoking drugs..why should you get to go anywhwere or do anything until you realize to straighten your thoughts out in life and where you get out of it. they let him go to the store when he should of been grounded to the house. they wanna blame others for what happend, not realizing if theey used their parenting skills and grounded trayvon, he would be here today. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE DONT TEACH THEIR KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!! that they are the parent and you have to do what is told until you finnish high school or you get nothing until so. let them learn that way if need be. No, they dont and this is where Americas children are lost. As, far as Zimmerman- if he would of just listend to the 911 operator and backed off.. looked to where he was going and watched til he went thru the front door like normal people do, he would of realized it was just a kid walking to the house. watch and wait 2 simple things but no, he wanted to not mind his business and find himself in his mess he wanted. PARENTS EVEN SINGLE ONES ARE TEACHERS AND WE MUST TEACH OUR CHILDREN FROM RIGHT AND WRONG IN THE WORLD AND AT HOME.It is sad when you blame people for your own wrong doings.
Both people had a right to be on the street, Providing Zimmerman had appropriate permits he had a right to openly carry a gun (or with concealed carry permit carry a concealed gun)
What Zimmerman did was not justifyable by being "neighborhood watch" the point of a watch is just that... to WATCH.
You should only enguage with a suspect when you are endangered on (or in) your own property.
Furthermore if you are taking on the role of a "concerned citizen" then you need to IDENTIFY yourself early and frequently so that any witnesses within earshot will know that you aren't simply a crazy with a gun stalking someone.
Technicially Stalking has to be systematic behavoir (following a person one time does not qualify sadly enough) however pointing a loaded weapon at a person IS a felony in Fla. As is physical attack.
*if* the account is accurate, and Martin managed to "lose" zimmerman while being followed – then the moment he choose to counter-attack, HE was in the wrong. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Ultimately the issue is too much testerone... you got one "macho" man who thinks he's defender of his neighborhood and entiteld to shot anyone he suspects is even remotely suspicious and you've got another who apparently felt that if you mess with him, you're going to pay.
Now... Z got in over his head and M died. at this point because M died, he's of course the victim and he's going to be sainted by many... but the account implied by the headline does question Z's honesty and integritety as well as the sincerity with which he feels responsible for taking another man's life. it definitely doesn't do him any favors.
Most of you here acknowledge that Trayvon Martin attacked Zimmerman and beat him to the point that he had a broken nose, black eyes, and gashes on the back of his head. However you seem to think that Martin had a right to attack Zimmerman. You seem to think that Martin's attack on Zimmerman was a justified self defense. You are wrong.
You cannot legally assault someone just for following you.
Even if someone pushes you or hits you, you do not "win the lottery" with a ticket to kill them or even to beat them senseless.
If someone pushes you or hits you and you respond by knocking them to the ground, you are NOT JUSTIFIED in jumping on them and continuing the fight. If you do jump on them and continue the fight, then you are the aggressor no matter what happened previously. And if you use excessive force likely to cause serious injury then the person you are assaulting can use deadly force to stop you.
If someone hits you or pushes you, you are only justified to use only enough force to stop the attack. If they hit you and run away, you cannot follow them and hit them. If they hit you and you hit them and knock them down, you are justified because you have stopped the attack. But you cannot jump on them and then beat their head into the concrete.
So, any way you look at it, Trayvon Martin was the aggressor. Witnesses saw Trayvon Martin on top of a man who was down. Witnesses saw Martin beating Zimmerman. The medical evidence shows that Zimmerman was severely beaten and Martin was untouched before the fight ended.
It is so clear that Zimmerman was justified in defending himself with deadly force. And you don't even need Zimmerman's testimony. Just look at the facts and the witness testimony.
Trayvon a young man who had his whole life ahead of him was merely walking back to what he called home. Like most teenagers with candy and something to drink in hand. Along comes zimmerman thinking, check me out, i'm going to save the day, i'm bigger, i'm older, i can take him. Let's not forget "i feel pretty brave against a youth since i have a loaded weapon." zimmerman should have waited as instructed, instead of jumping to conclusions that this young man was a threat, based on what? His size? His race? His attire? Trayvon would still be with us if zimmerman had an ounce of intelligence. zimmerman also lacked bravery, he had to attack him only because he had the gun, i guarantee that if he did not possess the gun he would have waited in the car like he was told to do.
@B Welsh... your statement "Why was the young man where he had no right to be" is unbelievable. This KID was on a PUBLIC STREET walking home from a store. What on earth do you mean by saying he had no right to be there? What is wrong with you?
First of all, the kid only had a tiny abrasion on the knuckle of his little finger, hardly the result of raining blows in someones face. Second, that kid had every right to fight a stranger who was stalking and following him, who he probably thought was going to do him harm. In what universe would you not be concerned that a man is coming after you on a dark and rainy evening, especially when you are just walking to a specific destination?
You are a liar if you say you would just stop and wait to find out what they had in mind. That car could have held robbers, rapist, or in this case, a murderer. The only time I would stop and see what their motive is, is if it was a marked police car. I have no duty to be stopped,r questioned, or killed by anyone else. And knowing rouge cops like I do, I will try my best not to be in their presence on a dark street with no witnesses.
Great answer!! Could not have said it better!!!!!
Guilty or innocent hasn't been proven, so why is he behind bars. If it was me, I'd be furious. What happened to the presumption of innocence? What happened to due process? He's in prison! This is just wrong, and appears on the face a direct violation of his civil rights.
When you are accused of a crime and then you lie under oath to a judge, you get your bail revoked.
He was bonded out, TexDoc, and essentially he broke the terms of the bond by lying in the original bonding hearing. A man is dead, and he's been indicted–folks are arrested and imprisoned (and bonded out) every day, even on these serious charges. Zimmerman lied and now has had bond revoked. It is hard to believe anyone would say his "rights" are being violated, except as a way to troll a comment thread. If you're really a doctor, you've got to be just having fun like that.
Zimmerman was guilty of perjury, i.e., he lied to the judge while under oath. Therefore the judge took away his freedom and put him in jail. The moral of the story: When in court under oath tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Simple: Not only shouldn't he have listened to 911 instructions, he shouldn't have lied to the judge.
Christian Morals: You reap what you sow. Love thy neighbor as thyself.
Zimmerman and his wife raised $100,000+ dollars for his "defense" then lied to the judge and the taxpayers of Florida regarding his personal finances. Hope both Zimmerman and his wife get indited for perjury.
This entire situation is a modern American tragedy. Zimmerman was trying to be a hero a protect the neighborhood, a neighborhood that had been experiencing home break ins. He had understood it to be legal to protect the property to whatever extent was necessary. A young man, for a reason we do not know, entered the private property, dressed in dark clothes. Zimmerman undoubtedly thought he was the person who had been breaking in to the homes. Why was the young man where he had no right to be? That question seems to have gotten lost in the crowd of questions.
Martin and his father were visiting his father's girlfriend, who lived in the gated community in which he was shot by Zimmerman. Martin walked to a nearby convenience store to pick up some candy for his father's girlfriend's son. On his way back to her townhome, Zimmerman shot him. How exactly did he have no right to be there? This question hasn't been lost in the crowd...it's been widely reported.
Treyvonn was 'visiting' his father because he was expelled from his school in Miami for marijuana and stolen goods. The loyal mother and father portrayed in the press had a screwed up marriage and screwed up their son Treyvon – a 6 foot 160lb. He was shot because he attacked and tried to kill Zimmerman who cried for help – hence self defense. And his wonderful parents ran out the next week and trademarked every Treyvon slogan they could to profit from their son's death. The Florida state attourney seeing an opportunity to advance her career convienitly left off all facts that showed self defense in her second degree murder complaint to the court. She also convieniently chose to bypass a grand jury as she no doubt new that the facts would only support self defense. So, when you consider the facts Zimmerman is a choir boy being railroaded for political ends. Check the facts before you condemn the man...
Did you miss the part about Trayvon's Dad living in that neighborhood?
I believe you got your story confused. Trayvon had just left the store , not sure of a law that says he could not go to the store. Mr Zimmerman was told repeatedly by the dispatcher to wait for a police officer. Mr Zimmerman took the law into his own hands and now people are trying to justify his actions. If someone was following you, I am quite positive you would not go down without a fight.
He was told "repeatedly" by a 911 operator not to follow him? Actually, if you had actually done your research and listened to the 911 call he was never specifically told not to. He was told "we don't need you to do that". That's not "don't follow him, wait for a police officer". Further, even when not given a strict command not to follow him, you can clearly hear the wind stop dictating Zimmerman then stopped pursuing Trayvon. It's about as clear evidence as you can ever have. He's breathing heavy and you can hear the air passing through the microphone as he's following Trayvon on foot, and immediately after being told he didnt need to do that, he turned around and was heading back to his car.
His dads fiance lives there and he was visitting. His dad was supposed to take him to disney the next day.
Trayvon Martin had EVERY right to be where he was that night. As would have ANY OTHER AMERICAN CITIZEN, notwithstanding the fact that he had for all intents and purposes a family member living in that neighborhood whom he was visiting.
You haven't been following have you? The boy was an invited guest of his father's girlfriend who lived in the community. He was simply walking home from the store after a candy run. The real travesty is that some gun toting lunatic can persecute and then prosecute a boy just because he didn't like the way the kid was dressed.
"Why was the young man where he had no right to be?" How did you come to this conclusion? Wasn't Mr. Martin a guest of a resident of this neighborhood? Thereby giving him every right to walk through the neighborhood? How would you feel if a guest at your home was shot and killed because of the color of his skin or the clothes he was wearing?
"Why was the young man where he had no right to be?" He has family living there. That way he was there.
What makes you think that Trayvon had no right to be there? He was visiting his father's girlfriend who LIVED there! He had as much right to be there as Zimmerman or anyone else.
I think Zimmerman was trying to be the hero and did not set out with the intention of killing anyone. However, he overstepped his bounds as a citizen. He made this kid feel threatened and the kid defended himself, causing Zimmerman to escalate the violence even further. This whole thing never would have happened had Zimmerman not been trying to "play cop" and left the law enforcement to the real police.
The young man was walking back to his father's fiancee's house. How can you say he had no right to be there?
Yours and comprable thinking are the true American tragedy, coupled with racist opinion and naivety. The fact is a very young, innocent kid died by the hands of a clear racist. People like this not only deserve prison, but in my opinion it's people like this that should be considered for the death penalty. Eye for an eye.
So now you want to kill Zimmerman just for defending himself? The evidence shows that Zimmerman acted in self defense. You don't even need Zimmerman's testimony. It is clear that Martin attacked Zimmerman. The law does not allow Martin to attack somebody just for following him. The law does not allow Martin to jump on a man that he has knocked down and continue to beat him. Zimmerman was justified in shooting Martin because Martin was using excessive force on Zimmerman that threatened serious bodily harm.
First the young man that enetered the property entered to go to the home he was staying. Tragedy for who? Zimemrman? Or the young man who is dead? A 17 year old teenage boy. Zimmerman was looking for a fight he was looking for a reason to confront somebody anybody and that is exactly what he found. It was not his home it was his community. There is a reason why we have police and a reason why the dispatcher told Zimmerman to not approach this young man. Do you walk around with a loaded gun? Do I walk around with a loaded gun? I do not and for someone that does and the circumstances surrounding this "American Tragedy" show that Zimmerman wanted a reason to use his gun.....and that is exactly what he did.
NO! There was no private property. Martin was walking down the sidewalk and was accosted by Zimmerman. Where do you get your information?????
Where is your evidence? The prosecutors stated in court, under oath that they had NO EVIDENCE that Zimmerman attacked Martin.
I'm afraid you are misinformed. The streets in these gated communities in Fla. are city / county property. Martin had every legal right to pass to and from as he pleased, so long as he stayed on the right of way.
Zimmerman took a gun to start a confrontation (assault). Martin's reaction, NO MATTER THE PROVOCATION, was legal given the gun brought to threaten him.
Now that we know Zimmerman is a perjurer (financial documents for bail are sworn) we are required to discount his claims entirely.
Given there are no powder burns on Martin, it was a murder from > 7 feet away
@B Welsh: The reason the young man entered the private property...excuse me...community is because he lived there with his Dad. I would hate to get shot for coming home with a bag of skittles and some Arizona Iced Tea. Zimmerman needed to remain in his vehicle and observe if necessary, as instructed by the 911 operator.
Trayvon and his father were visiting a family friend who lived there. Apparently, thinking that he was suspicious looking seemed right to Zimmerman and also you. Since when is it suspicious to be at a friends' house with your parent. Oh right, I guess you can't do that when you're black.
Martin was wandering around in the rain looking at the houses. He looked suspicious. Zimmerman had a right to report this behavior to the police.
"A young man, for a reason we do not know, entered the private property, dressed in dark clothes. Zimmerman undoubtedly thought he was the person who had been breaking in to the homes. Why was the young man where he had no right to be? That question seems to have gotten lost in the crowd of questions."
The question has been 'forgotten' because you have created it based on mis-information. Martin was not on private property and had every right to be on a public path.
You should do some research, the young man had every right to be there. He was staying at the home of his fathers fiance, a resident of the community. So he was not trespassing. He was simply walking down the street minding his own business.
The kid was actually not on private property, but a public street, wearing a hoodie because it was raining, walking home eating skittles and drinking tea.
11pm on a school night, two counties away from where he was supposed to be getting up for school the next morning....I guess he wasnt planning on going to school the next day...o wait, he was supsended, thats right. AND his Dad did not live in that neighborhood, the Dads girlfriend does, and the Dad does not live with the girlfriend.
First of all, it occurred around 8:30PM, as if that makes a difference. Whether he was suspended, (use spell check boo)or not at the time has little bearing on the case and what happened that night. Facts of case, dough boy didn't listen, was getting his a__ whopped, thus he made sure the child won't ever go to school again!!!
B Welsh, the young man had just left the house where he was staying with relatives and was walking back home from a nearby store.
Since when is a public street "private property"? Just because a developer built a gate out front, that doesn't mean a kid who is staying in said development with his father is not allowed to be there.
Welsh,What do you mean he had no right to be?His parents lived in the neighborhood. Also this is a free country or suppose to be,just because he was dressed differently and a different race, does that give anyone the right to question his whereabouts of location.Your remark sounds bias and sterotyped!.
BWelsh, the young had every right to be where he was, he was doing nothing wrong. He was killed due to Zimmerman's assumptions and bias. I wonder how you'd feel if the next time you walked up to an ATM a granny put three in your chest because she felt threatened?
I do believe the teenager's father lived in the neighborhood do he had every right to be there regardless if it was apublic or private neighborhood.
Last time I checked, this was America where citizens have freedom of movement at anytime.
If this is unacceptable, Russia is accepting applications.
Les, good one!!
Had George Zimmerman NOT been carrying a loaded weapon this boy would be alive today. If George Zimmerman had stopped following the boy when 911 told him to back off the boy would be alive today. If George Zimmerman hadn't been a complete conspiracy and security nut bent on acting like a policeman (when he could NOTactually get a job with the dept) the boy would be alive. All Zimmerman had to do was watch and call the proper authorities. That's what the professionals get paid to do. Instead the BOY is DEAD.
And people are donating to this jerks defense fund ? Yep Racism is alive and well in America.
Had Zimmerman not had a gun it would have been him who was killed, as on witness said – when he first looked out the window Zimmerman was crying for help, the second time he looked he believed Zimmerman was dead! Trayvon, and angry 6 foot 160+ lb football player was beating on Zimmerman mixed-martial-arts style. And no, Treyvon's dad did not live in the neighbor hood – just visiting a girlfriend, nor did Treyvon live there as he was expelled from school for marijuana and stolen goods from his Miami school. So, if you want to lay blame, look to Treyvon's school in Miami that simply expelled him rather that having him arrested. Had the school done the right thing none of this tragedy would have occured. But, based on where Treyvon was heading career wise it was only a mater of time before he took out his anger on someone other that Zimmerman.
So he and his wife (who at one point had a restraining order against him) had over $200K salted away from the web site they had set up for his defense, and somehow he had a 2nd Passport that no one knew about (?) and this mook wants a new bail hearing? If I was the judge I would call him into court, fine him for failure to properly report his financial situation and failure to surrender ALL passports, revoke bail and remand him to the custody of the sheriff's department. Then I would order his wife to pay a fine for her concealment of their financial situation. Then I would reprimand the Lawyer for failure to promptly report a known financial discrepancy and potential for flight risk on the part of his client, and forward the reprimand to the State Bar for disciplinary action. Of course, being Florida, the lawyer will only get a slap on the wrist.
Zimmermans had sufficent time after shooting Trayvon to self inflict his own injuries so as to avoid jail and murder charges by using the selfdefense claim.
How do you explain Trayvon's skinned knuckles compared to the location of Zimmerman's injuries? Why not wait and let our justice system do it's job – in America you are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.
There are some undeniable facts. Zimmerman shot an unarmed teenager. You don’t have to wait for a trial to know the facts.
While he shot an unarmed teenager, that isn't enough to convict anyone. Who initiated violence is the key. Even if someone follows another person, that does not justify the brutal attack Trayvon put on Zimmerman. Justifiable homicide.
In my book he is a murderer, if he can find a way to justify that and live with himself and if society buys the line of crap he is telling folks then he will be judged not guilty. That is far from innocent.
George Zimmerman is a murderer and there are no circumstances or justifications that can change that.
The fact a fight or altercation may have existed, does not mean the dead kid started anything. Maybe he defended himself? The lead investigator stated Zimmerman's injuries were NOT consistent with having ones head pounded into the sidewalk. Combined with the obvious omission in court regarding his finances, seems that Zimmerman is willing to say what he thinks he needs to in order to get what he wants.
My husband has had a gun to his head before, he definitely came out of it with some scraped knuckles.
Witnesses saw Martin beating on Zimmerman while he was down. Zimmerman had serious injuries, a broken nose, two black eyes and gashes on the back of his head. It is clear that Martin was beating Zimmerman while he was down. In addition there were NO injuries on Martin that would show that Zimmerman had struck Martin even once. It is clear the the altercation was one sided with Martin beating Zimmerman.
Furthermore it is clear that Martin's actions were likely to lead to serious bodily harm and therefore Zimmerman had the right to use lethal force to stop the beating.
The fact that Zimmerman did not know the exact amount gathered by his website is not too surprising. Money transfered would not show up until the next monthly report and there may have been some confusion over if it was considered personal as the money was earmarked for his defense. Zimmerman has been comendable as to how he has handled himself under the circumstances. The accounts for the web site were turned over to his atourney to control, he turned himself in when his bail was revoked, he has complied with everything the court has asked. Given the appaling press working to make Zimmerman's assilant look like a 7year old victum and not the 160lb 6foot theif that he was, the Florida state proscecutor who withheld evidence of self defense in he 2nd degree murder complaint – Zimmerman has been a choirboy!
Trayvon was attempting to neutralize his armed assailant. Trayvon was standing his ground. That's how you explain the skinned knuckles.
PRESUMED innocent until proven guilty.
Karen read the autopsy report. Trayvon has a 1/4 b1/8 scratch on the knuckle of his left ring finger. and a bullet hole through his chest. Those are his only injuries. Also there is no DNA on either of his hands that match Zimmerman. Supposedly Trayvon had banged his head on the cement and covered his mouth with his hands, yet no DNA???? The story that Zimmerman is telling does not match the physical evidence!!!
This may shock you but Florida's "stand your ground" law doesn't just protect racist guys on a cop fantasy. It also protects unarmed teenagers who are being chased by a thug with a gun and cop fantasy.
You know, I have been saying the same thing all the time. He probably used the largest flashlight he had in his possession at the time.
You are absolutely correct. He had time to do this . It is so true that these things happen to justify ones arrogant behaviour.
He looks just fine on the tape. He seems as if he can or think he can try anything>
