Syria's Deadly Crackdown: Join the Live Chat

We're Keeping Them Honest in Syria where the government still insists it's not attacking civilians. But the video tells a much different story.
And, we have breaking news out of Libya. Anti-Gadhafi fighters pull back from the former dictator's hometown of Sirte, one of the few remaining pockets of Gadhafi loyalists. Plus, see who we add to The RidicuList and more.

Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

I remember the incident in 2004. Pacers playing Pistons in Detroit and the fans really started the whole thing; that, of course, is no excuse for him to react to their throwing beer at him. Overall, he's a good person.

omg The Reno Air Show. Have been to many air shows in Reno. Its one of the best Air shows around...

    September 16, 2011 at 8:49 pm |
  15. Nina

This particular event is very dangerous in an air-show. High speed very close to the ground...

    September 16, 2011 at 8:44 pm |
    • Megan Dresslar - Shoreline, WA

      Nina,
YES! It is correct, It is very dangerous sport as well when planes flew too close or too speed (mag) could be more aware when pilot take carefully, Good point, Nina.

        Evening Megan

Watched a crash at the Reno Air Show in the same event many years ago. I am amazed they still have this event. It is very exciting to watch...

          Yes, It is.......

          September 16, 2011 at 8:56 pm |
  16. Lori - CA

No matter what they say, it seems that these air shows are dangerous. There is a risk zone built into airport planning and I think it is based on accidents statistics related to distance and altitude from the landing surface.

    September 16, 2011 at 8:44 pm |
  17. Janis

There are CEOs of big corporations that participate in these air shows. It's like an extreme sport.

    September 16, 2011 at 8:44 pm |
  18. Janis

The crash is so sad. The pilots love to fly these planes so much. They're all experts, so he must have been in bad trouble.

      Good point, Janis.

  19. Roza

hello, the events in Syria are hitting home here in the USA. The Syrian community in a "One" state are mourning the loss of a paramedic his sister and his brother are well known in our community, I refrain from sharing their names or many details for their own safety, he was shot at by the Syrian Regime as they passed the check point in the ambulance he was a volunteer helping with the wounded. If that is not plain murder by the Syrian regime what is?

    September 16, 2011 at 8:41 pm |
    • Janis

I'm so sorry for your community, Roza. The whole world should look and see the courage it takes to exist in and confront this murderous regime.

      September 16, 2011 at 8:53 pm |

    Greetings everyone,

Based on what the entire whole world have seen in the last months from Egypt, Lybia and Syria – it appears that these leaders were hard core dormant dictators for all these years – the truth about their rule resulting in death and brutality to their own people is frightful and horrific. We hope for better days for the people of Egypt, Lybia and Syria.

    September 16, 2011 at 8:36 pm |
    • Janis

Yes, agree with you, Vince. The citizens of all these countries are very brave to confront the brutality of these dictators.

      September 16, 2011 at 8:39 pm |

I wonder if G forces had anything to do with the plane crash – it just flew right into the ground? Horrific crash. So sorry.

    Good evening everyone.

The Libyans have come a long way from the first days of their revolution. I wish them a speedy ending to the conflict and success in their creation of a new democracy.
