Google under scrutiny for online drug ads: Join the Live Chat

Has the U.S. become a prescription nation? Tonight on AC360°, Drew Griffin has a special investigative report about the sale of prescription drugs online.

Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

Great show. Great reporting on the Japanese radiation. I don't care about CaseyAnthony, though. And Great Rediculist classic- Colbert is awesome, I'm a big fan of him, so it was fun. Keep it up!

If they find that the mother perjured on the witness stand, the mother could also receive a jail sentence.

She'll just say she was confused about the dates, has been so stressed, just didn't remember accurately. No matter how disfunctional this family may be, there is alot of sympathy for Casey's parents. They're trying to save their daughter from the death penalty.

Hi Nina, i agree. However, that would add even more pain and suffering to this family. I hope the prosecution finds a way to tell the truth, without prosecuting the mother.

I have watched alot of the trial. It's both hard to watch and hard to turn off. The twists and turns are too many to count. Not your usual trial. I'll be glad when it's over. Some of the stuff like whether or not George had an affair just doesn't seem relevant at all to the death of poor little Caylee Anthony. I pray the jury provides justice and can sift through all the bizarre testimony.

I have not watched this trial at all. However, by the bits & pieces on AC360, i think the defense is satisfied that they have presented reasonable doubt and that is why Casey was advised Not to testify.

Me either, I haven't see the trial of Casey Anthony as well, I don't think that Defense will not win at all, I doubt that prosecution will win against Casey Anthony.

Why blame Google for this problem....perhaps look to the service providers that are actually hosting these sites.. and oh by the way... maybe TV programs and networks should stop "pushing" prescription drugs through TV commericials. Talk about profiting from our nations drug problem.

    June 30, 2011 at 10:27 pm |
    • Starr, formerly know as vincent

      I agree with you Kim.

Especially about the advertisements on TV. People watch them, regardless of the list of side effects, and go and ask for the same drugs from their doctors. And, theses meds are Not available generically so they are very expensive, as a rule – $$$

Sure enough, i knew some people, who had prescriptions but were buying online to save money. Often they received "samples" that had been sent from USA to Africa, S. America, etc. etc.

I was Not aware that there were countries "making" their Own drugs. Drug abuse is bad enough, without getting drugs that only God knows what is in them!

Good evening everyone. The internet drug ads and sales have been ongoing for years now. Nothing new. Google is saturated with them. They have NOT stopped. I just checked when I saw the topic for tonight. I was a director in a psych and substance abuse hospital and our detox unit always had numerous folks who got pills from the internet. There is money in it, that's why.

Japan's government and TEPCO.continue to lie to their people. I suspect Most governments around the world would do the same thing given the circumstances.

Good evening Dr. Gupta & Team 360. Glad to see Sanjay at the desk tonight!

    Hello blogger friends!

It certainly seemed suspicious even when AC & Team were in Japan on what the levels and required distance was needed. I still keep in mt prayers those workers who went in day by day to try to fix the reactors. They knew the danger and have likely sacraficed their lives for that effort.

Some of us in NM are hoping the Fire does Not reach Los Alamos spent plutonium and burn. Itcould be worse than Japan i fear.

    June 30, 2011 at 10:08 pm |
    • Nina

      Hi Starr

I hope you live a good distance from the Los Alamos plant. How close is the fire to the Los Alamos spent plutonium? Please stay safe!

      June 30, 2011 at 10:13 pm |
      • Starr, formerly know as vincent

Distance is not the issue as fire will burn plutonium into the air. Then it will be up to where the wind blows.

Weare constantly reassured that "they" have control & a plan. Unfortunately, so did Japan & TEPCO, although i do believe that the firefighters & gov. are well aware of the danger and Do have a plan,.

        • Nina

Would they give you enough time to evacuate? Do you trust these people? Take Care, Starr!

          June 30, 2011 at 10:30 pm |
        • Sharon Hastings

They have known that plutonium was a big risk just sitting there for years now. I guess alot of our nuclear waste is buried or stored in some kind of inaccessible place but this big grouping is not. They have waited too long to secure it. What in the world are we going to do with all of this nuclear waste??? Will our planet just become one big nuclear waste dump??

Good point, Starr...... That was their reason cover-up that will be more trouble...... They did not tell us about it...No one knows why they lied us about reactors...... That is so big dangerous for people in Japan........... YIKES!

      June 30, 2011 at 10:13 pm |
  20. Megan Dresslar - Shoreline, WA

Oh no!!!!!!! Not good news for us to hear that from Japan....... There is also possible cover-up from goverment!!!!!!! YIKES!
