Pakistan: Friend or Foe in War in Terror?: Join the Live Chat

Pres. Obama will address the nation tomorrow night on his troop withdraw plan in Afghanistan. Tonight, though, we're Keeping Them Honest on the country next door, Pakistan. They say they're our ally in the war on terror. But after the capture of Osama bin Laden there and other incidents is that really the case? Plus, is Pres. Obama flip-flopping on his stance on same-sex marriage. And, new twists in the Casey Anthony murder trial. We'll tell you why the alleged mistress of Casey's dad is expected in court tomorrow. And, Gary Tuchman reports on whether today's testimony actually hurt or helped the defense.

Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

Love The RidicuList!! the 16 year old's parents should be committed for allowing the marriage of their daughter to a 51 year old, old enough to be her "grandfather"

    June 21, 2011 at 10:54 pm |
  7. Jennifer - Michigan

51 & 16 yrs old....maybe it will work for a short time. She'll mature and cut him loose eventually – mark my words.

An accidental death and effort to cover it up hardly excuses Casey Anthony from a crime–I don't really get why she doesn't confess the truth either.

There seems to be too much control of our what seems our entire foreign policy in the hands of a couple military leaders... this can't be what's best for America...

I don't understand why can't she just confess and tell what happen to her little girl. She is just going to make them figure it all out, right or wrong!

If she killed her daughter, she is looking at life in prison or the death sentence... therefore, she will say and do anything to look innocent.

  12. Megan Dresslar - Shoreline, WA

Wow! That hurts against defense as well, I don't buy her story as well.... I think she lied to us, should cover-up her mouth.

First I've heard of the alleged mistress–it should be interesting.

        Hi Starr
It is difficult to watch any court case involving the death of an innocent child. I just do not understand why people are fighting to get into the courtroom in order to watch this trial? That behavior just boggles my mind.

It is really fun to watch animals who love water play in it! My dog loves the hose! I have to lock him in the house when I water the backyard. I left it running on the lawn one summer day, and he brought it in through his dog door.....little monster.

ah – the zoo... gorillas and bunnys ...

just a reminder to all that recycling your cell-phone will help protect gorilla habitats – it decreases the demand for coltan (which is used for coating cell phone components and is being mined in endangered gorilla habitats)

    happy first day of summer!

the whole tiffany's thing is pretty much just trophy jewelry – bragging rights – kind of seems like a waste if a person doesn't wear jewelry on a regular basis – guess a lot of people do – tiffany's doesn't seem to be going out of business

This guns to Mexico issue is a disaster! Someone, more than one, needs to stand up and take responsiblity! Both ATF & Justice Dept. need to stand up.

Aside from the monumental amount of damage these guns have probably caused, the death of one of our own Agents is unforgiveable.

    Great reporting by Drew!

    June 21, 2011 at 10:31 pm |
  26. Nina

I always find it interesting when a major operation becomes disastrous with organizations like the ATF and CIA, no one is willing to take the responsibility! What does that tell you?

    June 21, 2011 at 10:29 pm |
  27. Nina

The ATF tactics and strategy reminds me of the CIA!

Clearly their are two faces to Pakistan.

It comes as No surprise that when the ISI in Pakistan has info pre-mission, there are often leaks so that the missions fail.

Thank you Anderson for having Fareed A. on your show. He is very knowledgeable about Pakistan.

I truly pray that the issues that we have with Pakistan can be overcome. Otherwise, there could be real trouble in the area due to nuclear weapons that Pakistan has. No one knows who or how much control there is over their arsenal.

    June 21, 2011 at 10:22 pm |
    • Starr, formerly know as vincent

I meant Fareed 'Z'. Just a typo, sorry.

Why are we still giving Pakistan millions of dollars?

      June 21, 2011 at 10:24 pm |
      • Megan Dresslar - Shoreline, WA

        Good point question......
I think they should have finance their mortage or pay the bills or whatever...... People willing to buy billion dollars than ours. They will get their money back.

        June 21, 2011 at 10:29 pm |

    Pakistan is a FOE
They want us to stay in Pakistan and keep militants alive because we give them financial aid in trying to take them down.

If you do not support same sex marriage, then don't marry the same sex! Its just that simple. No one should force their beliefs on someone else.

i like paul's comment about devolving – things can go both ways – i think it just works that way sometimes

    June 21, 2011 at 10:16 pm |

I suppose there is confusion between one's definition of marriage and understanding of a lifestyle of marriage.

    June 21, 2011 at 10:15 pm |
  38. Gloria, Brooklyn, NY

There got to be a better way to be protected under the law than to marry by same-sex! I love you, guys, but still!

I agree with Paul B., that the President is lagging behind the American people. Increasingly, especially younger people, gay marriage/unions are supported.
Although there is a strong conviction with some African Americans, that being gay is Not appropriate.
I also believe that his position is highly political.
I believe that gay marriage is a Civil Rights issue. All Americans should be able to enjoy the freedoms and rights as put forth in the Constitution.
My hope is that Pres. Obama is able to fully support the GLBTG community on this issue.

    June 21, 2011 at 10:11 pm |
  40. Megan Dresslar - Shoreline, WA

I don't believe we don't use gay marriage, I think that we are men and women to marry.

There is always the dance in order to pick up votes. Regardless of what you truly support, politicians will move to the right or left in order to be reelected.

    Evening Anderson & Team 360.

    Hello blogger friends!

I too am confused about Pres. Obama's stance on gay marriage. Perhaps the word marriage is the sticking point. I think many religious people think that when they hear "marriage" they think of "church".
Marriage is aLegal matter, that's what people don't seem to get.

    June 21, 2011 at 10:03 pm |

      I agree.

      Starr,
Some state had vote same sex as well to marriage and it will be vote say yes or no as well. My hometown also banned gay marriage as well... How we tell people want change their style.
