The Birthers are Back: Join the Live Chat

The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected a case about President Obama's citizenship, but a Texas lawmaker isn't listening. He has a new bill based on birther doubts about where Mr. Obama was born. How does he reconcile his birther beliefs against the facts? We're keeping him honest. Plus, tonight's other headlines.

Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

    Wow,Wow, and Wow!

Who is paying these crazies to get on the news? Please stop this non-sense Anderson!

I am one that so ashamed to be from Arizona, with McCain and Kyl being voted in again!

A few points to explain why this is still going on: if the POTUS was only 2 years older, he would NOT be a US Citizen. Hawaii is teh final state to join the US in August of 59. This is the first non traditional citizen, being the first born outside the mainland. The fact he simply will NOT show his real, original Birth Certificate lends to the conspiracy. He was raised and taught outside the US for a large portion of his childhood, another excpetion to the typical POTUS profile. I wish he would simply show his original birth certificate to make this go away. And I know for a fact you can manipulate those new Digital copies of Birth Certificates, as they made innocent errors on mine and took me months to correct.

Who continues to elect individuals like Mr. Berman? He cannot and will not answer a single question nor will he listen to reason based on facts. He obviously has his own political agenda. I for one am very fed up with the lack of respect our elected officials have for our President.....shame on them!

Were these released by the "Wikileaks" founder, or were they done to hurt him? Last time, he was all over the media, saying things, etc. I've not seen or heard from him once this time.

Thank you for doing investigative news reporting and keeping the facts straight. The pieces on Obama's birth and Sen. McCain's changing position on don't ask, don't tell are what I'm looking for in the news. Please continue this good work.

thank you for confronting this hater with the overwelming factual evidence available. These
people who have distructive agendas and are rarely challenged to clarify the poison they are trying to pour for public consumption.
You took every part of his own words and documents to show everyone viewing how hollow and sad these efforts have become.
The citizens of Texas have many seriousd issues to resolve with legislation to allow this man to waste time and tax dollars.
Thank you for stepping up and saying what we are thinking Bravo .....

I really feel sorry for the people of Texas to have a congressman so full of hatred for the leader of the United States and the free world. Did he have any questions about President George W. Bush from TEXAS?

Wow, Americans are very patriotic on the forefront...but they could sure use some patriotism on the inside. The facts show that your president is American....to all the skeptics, give it up!

This is ridiculous!! We have more important issues to concentrate on than this one. What a waste of time and money to bring such a trivial matter to our Supreme Court. Why is such a insignificant issue being raised during the tenure of our first African American president? Am I implying racism?
Even if opponents said it had nothing to do with racism, I wouldn't believe it. If Sarah Palin runs, we'll see if she is has to go through the same thing.

Thank you Anderson for that great interview about President Obama birth certificate. I think all the people saying he was born in Kenya when his mother lives here in USA, and his father was a student then. I think they need to know that traveling from USA to Kenya is very far. I am an international student and i know is not easy to travel. And since his mother is an American, i am sure she gave birth to him in the USA.

It is embarrassing to think Leo Berman was able to get into the military. The fact that someone can misread reality so badly explains why we have friendly fire incidents. Berman clearly demonstrated how far the Republician has sunk. God save America, the politicians won't.

Nice try, Anderson, but as has been said, it's useless to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent. Clearly, your guest wasn't about to have his mind/opinion changed by something as inconsequential as the facts.

It's mpossible to have a productive conversation or debate with a person that is not willing to be truthful. It's a total waste of time. Food for thought !

Way to keep them honest. As a Texan, I am embarassed by representatives like Leo Berman. After two years of being in office, you'd think that people would accept President Obama. I just hope that Texans don't accept Rep. Berman's ignorant-misled attempts of passing legislation.

If Obama's father was white and born in Australia or a European country, would Berman be questioning Obama's citizenship? Probably not.

CNN showed legitimate proof of Obama's birthplace whereas Berman was unable to present any proof Obama was not born in the United States.I wonder how many previous presidents Berman has questioned about their birthplace, citizenship and school records.

Don't Ask Don't Tell....is utterly ridiculous and again those who love to discriminate would prefer to keep this in place. As someone once told me, "If I am in a foxhole and someone is saving my life I am not going to stop and ask if they are gay or straight!" Anyone who opposes lifting this merely wants to discriminate. We need better hate crime legislation as those who want to keep this in place are merely full of hate. Many are using religion as an excuse to discriminate.

Thanks to Paul Begala for a very clear and true statement of how this issue is so timely and important. I can't believe John McCain would say our current policy is "working fine".

WOW! That was a great debate Anderson! I would think that 71% of Americans hopefully agree with you... When you have the facts, then it's plain stupidity to not believe. I think we need stop interviews with baby boomers who cannot operate a computer, and will believe anything they read online!

    Great Debate, and was Hilarious!

It is very sad to watch Sen. McCain's back peddling on the issue of GLBTG in the military.
Many militarys around the world have accepted all individuals who wish to serve and are qualified.

I truly hope, with all myheart that the Congress will pass a bill that allows GLBTG to serve.
As Anderson mentioned, so many critical people have been lost from the military and so much money has been lost too, by others turning comrades in.
I agree with Paul B.'s argument.

Like a lot of other older politicians, Sen. McCain seems to be practicing the old way of politics where things you say aren't necessarily subject to fact checking in real-time. You can say whatever you think people want to hear without worrying about being caught contradicting yourself.
You have to respect his service to the country but I think his political practice is outdated and it may be too old for him to change his ways.

As long as these people know who to do their job, it really shouldn't matter. Everyone enlisted knowing full well what the current rules are. What is anyone looking at talking about their sex lives anyways? (Is it not illegal to have sexual relations with other members of the military? Unless you were already in a relationship prior to both joining?)

Turn the table on this Texas State Senator.
Verify his birth, education, travel and voting records.

How much of his political time has he wasted for Texas?

Hi Anderson i was just wondering since these People are so concern about the deficit isn't it costing money for this type of rubbish or is it because now that they actually have to do some work they are stirring up a diversion.

It seems the 27% who believe this have convinced themselves he is not born here (consciously & unconsciously) as a defense mechanism to deflect the fact we have a African-American President(or maybe a president that doesnt quite look like the others before him?).....after President Obama Has served his time as President this behavior will most likely continue
