Meghan McCain: O'Donnell 'reflects badly on the movement'

Lauren Pratapas
CNN

(CNN) – Sen. John McCain's daughter, Meghan McCain, wants to make one thing clear, "I am not the one running for Senate."

McCain’s comments about Delaware Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell as a "nut job" while appearing on ABC's "This Week" program Sunday, immediately received harsh criticism and backlash. A response that day from the O'Donnell campaign mocked McCain for having "vast experience in politics and running for office." McCain is now firing back.

The 25 year-old, whose departure from conservative orthodoxy on some issues is no secret and has put her at odds with some in the GOP base, reminds the O'Donnell campaign and other critics in a blog post late Monday night that "I am not the one running for Senate. I am also not the only one with issues with Christine O'Donnell."

CNN get it clear and stop defending an imbecile( O'Donnell) as even a possible candidate for the Delaware US senate seat, unless you want us to think CNN is imbicilic as well.
The next Delaware Senator will be Democrat thank god.
If not, I will emigrate the US and Angle in Nevada if she wins will just be the additional jet fuel to get me the the hell outta here. Rand Paul is high on my list of people who must not be elected!!
    Regards,
    Hodgson.

Good for Meghan McCain. At least someone is standing up from the party ranks and calling O'Donnell the fool she is and pointing out that O'Donnell not only makes herself look bad but the whole GOP as well. I think from listening to O'Donnell so far that she does all her really deep reading in the checkout line at the grocery store – you know where National Inquirer and the rest of the tabloids are stocked.

Meghan Mc Cain is just like her father, a Rino-back stabbing know-nothing. She must be talking about her father, areal nut-job. It is amazing how so-called Republicans like her get air-time. Why don't you get Mark Levin on your show to explain the first amendment while your at it. All the morons in the down-stream media and the law school geniuses don't seem to comprehend the difference between separation and establishment. O'Donnell does!!

McCain is nuts! No one listens to this self-centerd 25 yr. old. Glad she's not running for office. Her dad was bad enough.

Why does anyone feel they have to speak out against O'Donnell. The public can make up their own minds and doesn't need to hear all the comments about her suitability for public office. If McDonnell is 'in over her head' then allow her to fall or stand on her own. The people of Delaware have nominated her, respect that. Comments by Mehgan and many others are just overkill.
