New Oil Spill Access Rules: Join the Live Chat

New rules in the Gulf will make it more difficult to see the disturbing reality of this disaster. Despite promises of transparency and full access - photographers, reporters and the general public now could face fines and felony charges if they get to close to response vessel or booms. We're keeping them honest. Plus, Anderson's exclusive interview with Jimmy Buffett. What the superstar thinks of the spill and how the area will recover.

Want more details on what we're covering? Read EVENING BUZZ

Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

Anderson, Is this ruling going to be challenged? What about the 2nd ammendment? Living in St.Pete. FL on the Gulf, we are all concerned about what is / or not happening on a daily basis. Seeing how impotent big oil and the Gov. are about this whole disaster it's no wonder they don't want us to know anything. Thankyou for your dynamic ,provocative and honest reporting. This is literally so sickening.

I'm angry that any company or government agency would try to block the press or citizens from viewing the BP oil spill damage. I hope more Americans will oppose these new rules too. Thank you Anderson Cooper and the AC360 team for another great report!

This is a nightmare. The media doesn't give it anywhere near the coverage it needs, and deserves. I can't, for the life of me, figure out why. We're in trouble....big trouble.

We are huge Buffett fans with 35 shows and counting under our belts. It is great to see someone with his passion and influence trying to make a difference in the situation. They need to let his boats thru to help the wildlife.

Anderson, thank you for staying on this issue. So many of us have deserted the stressful acknowledgment of this disaster, but you have hung in there and are there when we are ready to resume our support. . I personally have returned and will do whatever I can. One feels so inept watching. But, you, Anderson, are the spokesman for all of us! You do it so well--

Jimmy gave a free concert at LuLu's (his sister's restaurant) last night for the locals. I missed it, but I was so thrilled that he cared enough to give his time and talent. We, the locals, are fighting depression and fear every day.
