Live Blog from the Anchor Desk 01/06/10

Tonight on 360°, the federal indictment against the suspected Christmas bomber. Plus, TSA troubles.
We're keeping them honest. Are they up for the job of keeping you safe in flight? And, a high seas battle between anti-whaling activists and a whaling ship.

Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

    January 6, 2010 at 10:57 pm |
  22. Casey Jones - Palm Springs, CA

Oh Lord. Richard Heaney(sp?) missed his calling as an actor.

    January 6, 2010 at 10:56 pm |
  23. Fay-CA

I think it's too late for Heene's tears, who really believes that whole thing wasn't a hoax?

    January 6, 2010 at 10:56 pm |
  24. Lori

Oh the drama, I can't stomach any more of the Heene's. I don't know how Larry could sit in the same room with him.

    January 6, 2010 at 10:56 pm |
  29. Shanny

Don't laugh Larry! Hold it in!

The return of proper Hollywood?...hit them in their pocketbook for doing immoral acts...wonderful.

Maybe other celebs will thinks twice before they do something.

  34. A. Smith, Oregon

Good for Hanes. Spousal abuse is never acceptable, advertisers should help set and follow ethical and moral standards that are widely acceptable by their customers.

    January 6, 2010 at 10:56 pm |
  35. Caroline, Los Angeles

Oh I already know what the D.C. admin did-fired a lot of people. My question: What was so screwed up before that all these people got jobs in the first place and then had to be let go? Seems mighty inefficient and hurtful.

    January 6, 2010 at 10:55 pm |
  36. Casey Jones - Palm Springs, CA

@Jo Ann....That all makes so much sense. That's very interesting about your fashion education and I love that Bill Blass 'quote.'

P.S. I wear orthotics, thank you.

    Anderson, I gotta ask:
What 3 items you can´t live without?

    January 6, 2010 at 10:54 pm |
  43. LisaL - Canada

this piece on fashion is SO COOL. Isaac sounds like he would be SO interesting to discuss this with - i like his attitude - i LOVE the fact that his idea of fashion includes food and other things - and it's not "stuffy". what a great interview!!

It's possible to gauge one's mental state with pupil tracking of the eyes. Easy equipment to set up at the security checkpoint area; easy to administer. Most will pass easily the question: "Are you planning to cause harm to this aircraft or the people who will be on it"

As inane as this may sound to an uninitiated person, experts will tell you how effective such a method could be – as a screening tool.

    Anderson,
