    During the Presidential Campaign, President Obama promised open debates shown on C-SPAN and governmental transparency about serious issues facing this country. What happened to this with regards to health care and economic issues?

    Medicare at 55 is necessary because so many older workers have lost their jobs. It's hard enough finding a job in this economy. Age discrimination is rampant and you're not likely to be hired if you have grey hair.

    In my community, I see people in their 50's and 60's rummaging through trash receptacles to collect recyclables to sell. These people lost their jobs, the value of their investments in the stock market crash, and now they are losing their dignity because they have to dumpster dive just to make ends meet.

    Leiberman ought to be ashamed of himself.
