Photo Gallery: Planet in Peril – Battle Lines

AC360°

In 2007 and 2008, CNN took viewers around the world with Planet in Peril. This worldwide investigation looked at four key issues: climate change, vanishing habitats, disappearing species and human population growth. Anderson Cooper, Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Animal Planet's Jeff Corwin traveled to some of the most remote and remarkable places on Earth and gathered evidence on the unsettling changes taking place all around us.

Go here to view some incredible images captured through out this journey.

I really believe that these pictures are beyond incredible. In this crazy, fast-paced life, people forget about what does not affect them directly day to day. To see pictures of places or animals that we have never seen or visited is truly awe inspiring.

What was subject only to environmentalists and scientists now is everyone's business. United States, China, Brazil and India have announced targets for reducing emissions of greenhouse gases. For two weeks, the world world will look at Copenhague. I hope the leaders can find the best solution.
