November 9th, 2009 11:31 am ET Symbolic that on the anniversary of the cracking of the Berlin wall, we ourselves are now seeing a cracking of our own Berlin wall and an end to the Cold War within our own political landscape as we the people are setting the clock back in order to save our own humanity. |

November 9th, 2009 11:37 am ET It was just a few days after my 19th birthday (drinking age in British Columbia, Canada, where I lived at the time. I was living with some pretty crazy roommates and we couldn't afford cable, so I had to get my information from the little black and white tv at the gas station where I worked. Even being young and insensitive I still remember knowing that it was a huge change for the good in the world. |

November 9th, 2009 11:57 am ET I am a brazilian native and have been living in Berlin for almost 30 yeas now. I remember the wall falling like if it was only some years ago. Berlin has hanged so much in this peropd of time, for good as well as for bad. The wall isnt there anymore, but I think it is still in people's heart. |

November 9th, 2009 12:32 pm ET I was there just after the wall came down. Amazing to see all the people together. Saw parts of the wall still standing out near my old home in Düppel. Unbelievable to see that history and to be a part of it. |

November 9th, 2009 12:48 pm ET I remember how proud I was of President Reagan. He was a president who brought being an American back to life!! Having the wall come down was a sign of new freedom for these people who lived under communism for much too long. It was a very joyful day Anderson, I remember it to this moment. |
