September 24th, 2009 11:15 am ET I can't believe that Cooper didn't realize that he had the flu much less the swine flu. Him being a news man and reporting it and all you'd think he'd have caught on to that!! I'm just glad that Cooper is now well on his way to recovery and is alright. Glad also that Sanjay is doing well. It seems he had the worst case of the flu. Hopefully they both are immune to it now and won't be affected on their further travels abroad. Cindy..Ga. |

September 24th, 2009 11:42 am ET I don't think I believe Mackenzie Phillps, But she is on all outlets SELLING her book! What a better way to SELL books then to get on ALL networks. She should give ALL profits to abused children!!! |

September 24th, 2009 12:13 pm ET That's it Sanjay... drive those ratings with your fear mongering. So ridiculous. Sickest he's ever been? PLEASE. CNN is a joke. |

September 24th, 2009 12:32 pm ET Why would CNN bother to place a conversation between two old men talking about there illnesses. Don't we have something more important to know. Rather then attracting media attention to how bad Dr Gupta felt, why not focus on how Anderson Copper just managed the symptoms and let life go on. An individual with H1N1 is not a media event. Hopefully they were covering their mouths when coughing and washing their hands as he went around , even if they didn't know they had H1N1. |

September 24th, 2009 12:41 pm ET Wow, very informative video. I'm an American living in the U.K., and I have just been diagnosed with the flu. The NHS is not bothering to take a swab and see if it is swine flu, so I'll still see about getting immunized for that in October. (There are cases of Americans around here with swine flu, so I'm leaning toward that self-diagnosis.) |

September 24th, 2009 12:54 pm ET please, please, PLEASE...stop calling it the swine flu...you have absolutely no idea what this virus has done to the hog industry...IT IS NOT THE SWINE FLU...everytime you refer to it as such the hog industry takes a nose dive in prices and we are losing thousands of dollars everyday because of it...the NPPC has put it out that media may not call it that any longer...the media is killing the hog farmers just like you did the tomato industry last year with that scare that didn't end up being tomatoes...the media has got to learn to get ALL the facts before you go and ruin someone's lively hood...It takes years to recover from something like this if we ever do...please do your research and report properly!!!!!!!!! |

September 24th, 2009 1:22 pm ET Out here in Los Angeles, they keep the buses and markets freezing to kill H1N1. I wonder if that works as well as sunlight killing the virus? When we stopped seeing Dr. Gupta during Afghanistan week I thought he was probably sick, and Anderson looked unwell and unhappy. I could tell he was struggling hard to anchor. His dedication is admirable, but he should have rested instead of overtaxing his heart and the doctors doping him up so he could work. Dr. Gupta was sicker than AC; we're commenting on AC because he turned the conversation to his own illness last night. Hah hah. So happy they are both OK now. |

September 24th, 2009 1:34 pm ET Broadcasting from Afghanistan, none of you looked like you were feeling particularly chipper – I felt bad for you guys. Rather added to the impression of how hard it was to be there, and how hard it must be for our soldiers to be there. Thanks for the reporting and glad you are all (or at least Anderson and Sanjay) feeling better. |

September 24th, 2009 1:50 pm ET I'm amazed that Dr Gupta kept working!! And Anderson, too, for that matter. I'm glad both are doing fine now and I hope neither one will get the flu again. |

September 24th, 2009 2:20 pm ET It really shows how people might not think they have it and get others sick without knowing it. Glad everyone is getting better. |

September 24th, 2009 2:22 pm ET I am having a hard time beliving that Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta keep using the words "Swine Flu". The press has done a very good job of adding to the already stressed swine industry. Maybe CNN and Anderson Cooper should follow Ag Secetary Tom Vilsack's lead and not use the term "swine flu" and use the proper name H1N1. I always respected CNN for doing a good job of reporting but not anymore. Other news agencies are doing a better job of reporting H1N1 so maybe it's time for a change. When you start reporting correctly I might think about watching again. |

September 24th, 2009 3:59 pm ET You guys are just great, anderson and sanjay sorry you had the flu, but it helps to shine some light on the disease. People will not be so scared of it I guess. |

September 24th, 2009 4:21 pm ET I'm glad that both Dr. Gupta and Cooper are doing well now. For those of you who have made unwise comments here, you do not know or understand to what extent and unsafe places that both of them go about to cover the news, let it be for the sake of their channel. Sharing experience increases knowledge about Swine Flu. For those of you who do not know, Dr. Gupta while covering news saved the life of our Marine in Iraq by performing a brain surgery. That itself makes him a good human and brave hero. If he has some experience to share, listen and learn from it rather than commenting bad. Thanks. |

September 24th, 2009 5:57 pm ET Glad to see everyone is feeling better. I too feel I had the H1N1 flu ths past week, and the cough is the worst. My question is that if it is established that you have had the H1N1 flu do you still need the vacine? |
