This is something that I personally have not seen a lot of reporting on recently, and it is a good sign of progress. Furthermore, this circumstance should impact upon the congress's view of the ongoing presence of US and coalition forces in Afghanistan. The fate of these people perhaps depends on those forces. Otherwise this is a stunning to the point discussion of the issues pertinent to that question of forces being in Afghanistan and an upcoming surge of foces in that country. My view personally is that I hope the legislative leadership will not bow to domestic political pressure in the handling this question.
