I take issue with the guy saying he served his country. While he did, I find that many soldiers excuse alot of their behavior because "they served". Sorry, soldiers: it was your choice. His theory of serving and now being a cop are two jobs that put him in an authority position. Sometimes that AUTHORITY gets blurred in one's own ego.
Should he be fired? I dont think so. And if it were a black cop saying those comments against a white person, I wouldnt want him fired either. I do, however, believe his lawyer is reaching w/ all his specifications and that will hurt Mr. Barrett in the long run. ; )

I would never be angry at any if they told me they were racist against me for any reason. I would, of course, take them to court if they acted on it.
