July 9th, 2009 2:54 pm ET Great video, very moving and sadenning. It's really sad that people around the world everywhere, not just Iran, go through this day in and day out. Make's you wonder where the human race is heading and where we will be in just a few years from now. |

July 9th, 2009 3:38 pm ET May God bless Neda. Its amazing how US media cant let go of Neda's story and will hype it everyday. On the other hand I dont see a single blog here for Egyptian Marwa, a 28 year old pregnant Muslim woman (mother of a 3 year old and wife) stabbed to death in a german court by a non-muslim racially motivated coward. Why? Does it give a bad impression of the western society? Is the life of a Muslim woman taken in Germany does not have the same value? Is US media only feeds us news where it can create a bad impression of Muslim governments? |

July 9th, 2009 3:42 pm ET Thanks a lot for supporting Iranian people Anderson. Iranian people just need a way to be joined together. It is very difficult to organize protests without having a broadcasting stand, SMS system and newspaper. Please support them to have a better future free of violence and injustice. |

July 9th, 2009 3:44 pm ET What an amazing video and song. How can anyone watch this woman dying before our eyes and not be moved. She is the sister of ALL of us no matter where we are on the planet. Thank you, Anderson for keeping this in front of us. Namaste to all. |

July 9th, 2009 4:04 pm ET I feel for the people of Iran and I hope soon there will be an end to the violence, but I equally feel for the Oeigoeren in China who are also fighting for their freedom. somehow there is no world condemnation of China for killing 150 people. In iran Neda was killed and a lot of people wounded, but the killing of 150 people I reckon would be as appalling to the media and the presidents of the world. But somehow Iit does not get the same response. please can somebody explain me why? |

July 9th, 2009 7:13 pm ET Wonderful combination of music and video images. It certainly catches and holds your attention – hopefully the plight of the Iranians will continue to catch and hold the world's attention until changes are effected in that country to better reflect the will of the people. |

July 9th, 2009 9:11 pm ET Yes this is a great thing to do on this website! How about what is aired on CNN? 24/7 Michael Jackson or Sarah Palin??? Big stories to be reported in Iran and Irag and Pakistan! Also news to be covered in the Congo, Uganda, Rwanda and the Sudan. Central and South America are in several crisis situations. Oh yes and of course the Israel & Palestine tensions. Maybe 3-5 minutes per hour coverage on some of these. CNN broadcasts ...Entertainment... or News reporting? |

July 9th, 2009 9:48 pm ET Completely irrelevant to all things happening in Iran and if this smacks of some opportunist stunt to make money, off of the blood, sweat & tears of those suffering in Iran. VERY crass indeed. Joan Baez did THE classiest thing of all. In her kitchen, singing half in English and half in Farsi, WE SHALL OVER COME...now THAT was inspiring. |

July 9th, 2009 10:19 pm ET To Wain In Pakistan; When CNN talks about Neda is because the whole criminal regime of Iran is acting like that. Please don't compare what has happened in Germany and Iran. |

July 9th, 2009 10:41 pm ET I don't know the motivation behind this but I have to admit that this was a great clip and I thank you for that. BUT I wish you, along with the rest of CNN, had not glorified invasion of Iraq which has so far caused 1.3 million lives parished. I never forget CNN's role when the invasion was taking place. As much as this can be a bright spot on CNN resume, glorification of Iraq invasion will forever be a dark chapter of CNN's history. I am an Iranian, but before that I am a responsible human being. My joy and appreciation of this clip is somewhat shattered when I remember invasion of Iraq and CNN's playing along with it. |

July 9th, 2009 11:41 pm ET I sympathize with the 12 year sentence Laura Ling and the other journalist received; however, they have only themselves to blame since they knowingly and deliberately broke N. Korea's laws. Now they expect to be rescued. That is indicative of a major problem in our country – no one is willing to be responsible for their own actions. You break the laws – suffer the consequences. |

July 10th, 2009 7:56 am ET ha, good question Emma Fox. I don't think America has the courage to go a get Laura Ling back we'll just talk about it on the media. We won't show passion for our own people if they are detained we'll just talk behind the enemy's back. I respect Iran 100% for fighting for their rights, it show's how strong the inner core of their people are. Good video also. Also Wain from Pakistan America will never show good news for muslims, only bad. I'm positive that if an African American would have gotten kidnapped by another country Al Sharton, Jesse Jackson, and a whole African American movement would take place. I feel America when it comes to race we're still stuck in the 70's. |
