Editor's Note: Wednesday night’s AC360° feedback was largely about the coverage of Michael Jackson. Many of you think that enough time has been spent on Jackson and that it’s time to focus on other world news. Here’s a sampling of your comments, and we’d love to hear what you have to say:

__________________________________________________________________________________________

I positively know that you are spending TOO much time on M Jackson. Our president is Europe could you possibly cover him and his family? I have had to go to BBC news to get news.

Up until recently, I have watched Anderson Cooper 360 every night. Your coverage of the death of Michael Jackson has been way to excessive. I have switched to other programming for the news and insight on the important events that are affecting our country and the world.

My heart goes out to MJ's children. Losing a parent, especially at such a young age, is a traumatic event. I pray that MJ's children will have the fortitude to pull through this tragedy and that they will flourish in the years ahead.

Dear Anderson, Please, talk about other thing. I don't want to hear anything about Michael Jackson. I have gotten enough of it. Jackson was an evil. There are many people who have lost their lives in Iraq. I've heard nothing about them. I get enough of Michael Jackson.

I am a viewer from Canada and have become a regular viewer because I am a big fam of President Obama and enjoy your show and coverage of US politics. I also love it when you are on Regis and Kelly as a guest co-host!

However, as sad as the passing of Michael Jackson at such a young age is - ENOUGH ALREADY!! There are far more important things going in the world now - it has been 2 weeks non-stop! Let it go!

Thanks for "listening"!

Lynda D. NJ   July 9th, 2009 11:57 am ET

I agree 100%. CNN has sold their soul to the ratings gods! And stop just posting the positive, gushing comments on this sight. You are losing viewers! And if you're not losing them, we're just tuning in to mock your coverage of issues such as "Bubbles the Chimpanzee, Where is He Now?"

What about healthcare Anderson? Rising unemployment rates? Increasing national debt? The descending presidential ratings???? The Americans dying in Afganistan???? Enough of Michael Jackson.

LA   July 9th, 2009 12:07 pm ET

I think your Michael Jacksn coverage is superb. This is definitely a story worth covering and it is not going away any time soon. I used to be a fox news viewer, but have recently switched to CNN because of AC 360 and Larry kIng's excellent coverage of the many sides to the Michael Jackson story. Keep up the great work!

THIS COMMENT IS A RE SUBMISSION FOR A POORLY WRITTEN COMMENT ON THE BUZZ OF MICHAEL JACKSON.

I wrote a comment on the blog this am that was reactionary. The comment was under the Buzz regarding the MD on Larry King.

I should have waited a bit of time before writing it.

I was furious to see what I would call exploitation of children on any television show.

The main point was that as adults "create speculation" and stir the "pot" so to speak, it creates havoc for the children.

Children have to live the consequences of the adults "searches" for truth.

They know their truth and its theirs to find out, not the media to "perpetrate more damage on children under twelve who just lost their caregiver, their daddy and they are twelve- not twenty somethings or fourty somethings... twelve.

I mean no disregard for Larry KIng. My attempt was to get him to "remember" the sensitivity when he asks questions, if he would like his children to live in that environment or if his personal live created a "media heaven".

My question is always motive? Can media go to far to get "ratings" and or "get the scoop" or to get the truth, when as we know on 360
perception informs belief which informs truth.

Children at twelve years of age DO not have developed brains as adults and they often take things literally...

Can you imagine taking literally the speculation at that age? And they don't hear it the people in the world do

HOW does that affect their life and their future life?

HOW dare the media perpetrate even thought the intention may not be that at all...
IMAGINE a 7, 11, 12 year old without dad and then have this other stuff out there that is personal to you on live TV

As far as Larry KIng, I apologize for not formating the points better. I reacted in anger, because I know the wounding that can happen to children... they have lost enough!

I was trying to use Larry as an example for Larry King to hopefully understand another point of view. I should have toned down the remarks an not went full throttle, doing what Larry was doing ( in my view to the Jackson children) to Larry. Please accept my apology Larry king.

I have turned off CNN for now and that is not the solution either

marilyn   July 9th, 2009 12:09 pm ET

I agree. ENOUGH about jackson, (unless) we can help make a healthy sound minded decision for these children. I don't agree we should not follow "very closely" the daily routine of these children for at least a year. I'm sorry, IF you closely look at the footage when Paris had the microphine; she was literally pawed & clung to in fear she would say the wrong thing. I still believe she was coerced to "free her father' name". I believe we did nothing all these years to protect these children, and now it's "time", I'm a mother. Call what I have intuition; call it crazy..just follow up daily, "please". Don't get caught up in their clinging vine actions, remember their father was touch/fee person, thus this may be very normal. If you or I was around them, I bet they would have done the same thing. By the way..rumor has it that Joe is around those children, in the same house? ..all of this is just food for thought journalists.. to those who care.......
Now our men coming home, lifeless, wounded, addiction problems..(the above) is what happens when we take our eyes off the right thing. We lost patriotism. We lost honor & integrity. We lost "GOD" ..so now we chase idols....Michael is an icon???? says who? God? Those with purpose? Was he a great entertainer? Yes! Icon? No...Was Elvis a great entertainer? Yes! Icon? No...We have to get our priorities back into perspective. If it was not for the men & women of this country to sacrifice their lives for the Michael' & Elvis;; the CEO's of this country, for the Pres. of our country, for you, reporters, journalists. For our children, we wouldn't be watching events/memorial such as was displayed for the jacksons, but we would be rallying for for our country, and "all" uniformed men. Tell me, when was the last time all networks rallied our serviceman with NO commercials. When was the last time we shut down major highways for our service man?
So now that we know we have our priorities a.. backwards. Lets take up our marching shoes; stand tall; admit we've lowered our standards, and have the courage to take charge of our heart & mind again. Let's not allow ratings, money, attention overcome the purpose given to us by God.....
We owe those little children our undivided attention, because no one else really gives a hoot.
We owe those uniformed men & women of our great country same. It's time we fight for what's right, not what feels good...

Emeka   July 9th, 2009 12:14 pm ET

Dear Anderson, could you please stop persecuting MJ. He is dead for goodness sake. Have a little compassion for the kids. It does seem to me you have not really gotten over your dad leaving at an early age. I feel your pain. Can you find it in your heart to feel for these kids. It doesn't take much to love a child. Thanks

Sherrie Vickers   July 9th, 2009 12:31 pm ET

Anderson the addiction that MJ suffered from can never be talked about enough because it is a plague on our nation. My comment is that Michael had a security team where are they in this tragedy. I feel that Dr. Murray got toocomfortable with his treatment of Michael and did not monitor him properly. Did his security team clean up the scene before emergency help arrived or in the hours/days that followed his death. Last comment Paris did a lovely thing in saying good-bye to her father it was in no way out of line any more than John Jr. saluting JFK's coffin as it passed by.

Mark from Saint Louis   July 9th, 2009 12:33 pm ET

Instead of 10 hours a day on Michael Jackson, why not spend 10 minutes a day on the life of a fallen soldier. Tell us their story or are our priorities so skewed that our society is just a lost cause?

Theresa, Des Moines, IA   July 9th, 2009 12:43 pm ET

Enough of the Michael Jackson stories. It is not fair to his children- you are exploiting them for ratings. And frankly, the rest of us should not care who the biological father is or where/if they will go to school.

There are events in our world that will affect our lives and the lives of our children and grandchildren that we should be become better informed about- healthcare, stimulus, Iran, Iraq, Honduras, global warming, our soldiers, North Korea, and on and on...

Dominick, Dover, DE   July 9th, 2009 12:45 pm ET

I agree with most Anderson, enough already.. I grew up with Michael, but we have 2 wars, no jobs, spending is out of control, bail outs, you get it.. Let's try to remember, but also move on..

Mike, Syracuse, NY   July 9th, 2009 12:45 pm ET

I have to agree with Lynda. Night after night all I have seen is gushing tributes to a person who abandoned his children by means of assisted suicide by abusing drugs. No negative comments are every allowed through by the moderators who obviously are big MJ fans. How was he a great father? He bought his way out of 2 child molestation cases, and blew a fortune on his bizarre life style. Some even have the gall to call him a hero and demand a national day of mourning, when true heroes like the firefighters and police who died on 9/11 never got a day of mourning. coverage has been biased and way over the top.

VITA ZEMAITIS   July 9th, 2009 12:46 pm ET

Michael Jackson is now becoming a health issue. Not only the drug use, but also VITILIGO. tHE WORD VITILIGO probably comes from Sanskrit meaning life's illness. Usually the disease appears in patches on the skin due to pigmentation and affects the thyroid. However, due to heavy use of drugs and stimulants, the illness may have taken a different course. It is also necessary to take into consideration the mental state of the individual. More research is needed on the disease.

b.   July 9th, 2009 12:56 pm ET

Anderson's dad didn't leave, he passed away. And yes it's true you never get over a parent's death...ask anyone who has lost a parent... lets not forget he's anchoring. We can leave out the personal stabbs & address specific issues to 360 in general...

Carol   July 9th, 2009 12:57 pm ET

I would like to say that I believe that Anderson Cooper has been doing a great job with reporting on the MJ story. Obviously it is a sensitive story and I think he has handled it very well. He has tact and intelligence that comes across when he interviews. Erika Hill does very well and I especially enjoy their segments together... Larry King is great as well. My dear dad watched Larry nightly until his passing in 2001 from Colorectal cancer. I am enjoying these wonderful informative programs . Wish I knew back then how interesting they were in order to discuss more of it with my dad. My mom keeps up with all of CNN ( Larry King, Cafferty, Anderson Cooper360 ..) .... so many more She and I enjoy discussing the topics. Thanks so much for the fantastic reporting that you all do.

Isabel, Brazil   July 9th, 2009 1:16 pm ET

I have to agree with most comments. Until the Memorial I liked the coverage on Michael Jackson, but yesterday was exaggerated.

I don't think Michael Jackson has to be left entirely to one side, no. But only should be reported only what's new. Enough to repeat the same scenes and these speculations. The Randi Kaye's report was sufficient.

There is a meeting of G8 happening. There are important decisions being discussed and taken. So many issues we could explore.

Heather,ca   July 9th, 2009 1:18 pm ET

I agree enough of Michael Jackson. Let him rest in peace and let his children live in peace. Why not focus on Iran, the kidnapping of Sean Goldman or the unemployment in our country. I think it time to return to real news. Take chance keep them honest. Go to Brazil and find out why they refuse to honor international law.

Pastor Reginald Levi Walker   July 9th, 2009 1:29 pm ET

Please Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming. I think that the news coverage of Michael Jackson's death and memorial service is Too Good to Be True and on the verge of revealing who Michael was In the Closet. I mean THE MAN IN THE MIRROR is dead. The Rockin Robin is Gone Too Soon. As much as the news media try to BEAT IT in to our heads that Michael was indeed a superstar, it is no secret that Michael was a THRILLER to the hearts of a lot of people. However, the news coverage has uncovered the hidden truth about the life of the Smooth Criminal we called the KING OF POP. CNN revealed that BILLY JEAN WAS NOT HIS LOVER, it also revealed that Blood on the Dance Floor came from him shooting up all the time. All of his life Michael 's Cry was for us to Come Together and Heal The World, in his death, our enquring Human Nature revealed that we were Happy not knowing the HI STORY of his life and the causes of his death.

MJ is a huge news event with many unanswered questions–of course it's going to continue as new things are discovered! Some of you may be too young to remember, but when Elvis died, there was tons of coverage then as well. If, as others have suggested, Anderson did story after story on an injured vet, you can bet there'd be people here posting that 'it's enough already!'. As far as the economy and other 'big stories', I'm sure if developments occur, Anderson and the team will report on them–he can't just make stuff up or rehash stuff about the economy we're already aware of (for example). It's not like the show's been 'ignoring' Afghanistan etc-some people are tired of the MJ story so it's perceived that that's "all" the show's been about. If I felt it necessary to criticize, I certainly would, but MJ is currently the story of the moment. At one time, so were weeks of Katrina coverage. Even our local news has plenty of MJ reports. Get a grip, people. This too shall pass.

Mike T.   July 9th, 2009 3:27 pm ET

I'm just here to say...CNN should know the difference between "Africa" and "Ghana". when you announce "The first African American president visits Africa..." did you forget that he was in Africa as the first African American president earlier this year? Or are you just being ignorant about Africa? He was in the continent to give the Middle East speech, if you forgot let me remind you that he was in Egypt! As one of the world's well known news organization... you should know that EGYPT is in AFRICA. I think you should set the record straight by differentiating between a country and a continent.

Allan Jones   July 9th, 2009 3:30 pm ET

The promo for President Obama's trip to Ghana, Africa suggests that it is the first trip to Africa by an African American President. The last time I checked, Egypt is still a part of the continent of Africa, and President Obama was in Cairo, Egypt delivering a speech, just a few week's ago. To be correct, the President's first trip to Africa as President, was his visit to Egypt recently. Please correct the misinformation. Thanks.

I am appalled at the way CNN is handling the Michael Jackson story.
I understand you have a job to do but do we really need to know who sired MJ's children? or better still do we need to know who the "sperm" donor" is. Do you guys think you could possibly let that aspect of the story go for the sake of those children.
Anybody can be a "sperm donor" but it takes a real man to be a dad and he was a real dad to them. Please remember these kids have feelings , remeber they are grieving. Anderson, I chose your forum to express this feeling because I am a huge fan of yours not because I particularly blame you.

GH   July 9th, 2009 3:38 pm ET

I think the coverage on Michael was a refreshing break from news on the economy, health care, Iran, China, North Korea, Obama-bashing, and all the other ills of the country and world about which we can hear about anytime, anywhere, on any news channel, any day. And frankly, contrary to most of the other commenters here, I'm sick to death of all THAT. And keep in mind that CNN and other news agencies continued to report on all THAT even while covering Michael's death, so all this griping to me are just childish overreactions.
As one commenter above pointed out, there was just as much coverage on the death of Elvis. And if Bush or Rush were to pass, I'm sure there'd be as much coverage to please the ones who are unhappy about all the attention focused on the passing a black and probably non-Republican who is one of the greatest entertainers of our time, if not the greatest, and who had a major influence upon the entire planet. Grow up, folks, and try to get over your ignorance.

Chris   July 9th, 2009 3:48 pm ET

I am a combat veteran. I gave my blood, sweat, and tears for my country and never have been so disgusted with Obama. Some people said it couldn't get any worse and it did. Obama is literally going in the history books as the worse president of all time. He lied to the American people just to get into office. Biden needs to get more involved and so does Mrs. Clinton. She would of been doing a better job. Obama needs to start taking his job serious and get the country on track!

Quentin Singleton   July 9th, 2009 3:53 pm ET

Anderson Cooper- It is such a shame about the Michael Jackson Story. As you reported the Jackson Family did try to help him in 2007 with an intervention. I think he had a serious drug problem & more wil come out about it. Love the Show-Anderson.

RE: Dispostion of Michael Jackson's Casket

Has any thought of this as a real possibility.........

That indeed his ashes were in the casket during the memorial service and removed afterward by family who transported his ashes back to the family compound for safe keeping until the final release of his remains by the coroner and final disposition arrangements have been made?

A picture surfaced of a brother embrassing his casket backstage after the service and gave me pause. #1: Would you embrass an empty casket? #2: Who else could insure the safety and security of his remains? #3: CA law requires that a casket be interred at a cemetary; ashes are a different story.

The casket could have been stored at Staples long as need be and transported by an unmarked vehicle back to the cemetary in a lawful manner.

This theory could answer a number of questions. Your thoughts?

Lampe   July 9th, 2009 4:31 pm ET

GH: I really don't think this is about White or Black. This is about from the moment he died, there has been non-stop coverage. while other things are going on around the worls, CNN choose to report on nothing else. I am an AA women, and I think it was a bit to much. We all need to stop making everything about race. It has gotten worse since Obama become POTUS. Now, you can't even question his motives on anything without being called a "RACIST." And, yes I know this because I myself have been a victim of such hate.
