I had wondered about which Jackson did what. I was surprised that Janet was the youngest of the clan – for some reason I thought it was LeToya. At the public memorial Marlon made a reference to his "twin". Did he actually have a twin and if so what happened to him?

Ann   July 9th, 2009 7:34 pm ET

Why is Michael Jackson 's will not being honored as to who he wants to have custody of his children? The natural mother has already been paid off, years ago. If she has any interest in them now it is all about the money they will inherit. Janet Jackson can help her mother with the children. It was family talent and hard work that made the money, why should some one groveling after money receive any consideration? No one talks about all the money Michael gave to charity? There seems to be a lot of real creeps salivating for his money. His mother is capable, more than that, she is a woman of impeccable character.

Randy Hoover   July 9th, 2009 7:40 pm ET

Wow...thats a great interactive graphic!!! Good job.

Mark Winfield   July 9th, 2009 7:42 pm ET

Jake...this is very informative. RIP Michael Jackson!!!

Kristen, MD   July 9th, 2009 7:43 pm ET

Annie Kate I believe Marlon's twin was a still born.

Joanne Osinkowski Ontario Canada   July 9th, 2009 7:59 pm ET

I have no interest in knowing who or what Jackson siblings do now. Michael was the gifted one who supported his family other than Janet. Now they can all continue to live in luxury again thanks to their dearly departed brother. May his star shine bright and may he sleep well till we all meet again.

Ora Luckett   July 9th, 2009 8:06 pm ET

I believe Elizabeth Taylor introduced Michael Jackson to prescription drugs.

Denise   July 9th, 2009 8:15 pm ET

What are each of them doing now professionally?

Lisa Burke   July 9th, 2009 8:16 pm ET

It's very likely that Michael Jackson had a severe substance abuse problem. Parent Addicts are sick people, unfortuntely they put the drugs before the kids. That is what both Michael Jackson and Debby Rowe did. Michael was sick and not thinking with a clear head. What does it say about Debby giving 2 children to someone that messed up? what is her excuse? She is reprehensible and should never, ever get the children-

sharjco   July 9th, 2009 8:31 pm ET

Marlon did have a twin named Brian that died at birth.

Therese   July 9th, 2009 8:36 pm ET

Anderson's profound quote to Larry King, "‘fatherless child know’s no limit’s”. . ." –what was the rest of the quote??? I was so struck by how true this was for me (also fatherless at 12) and how that impacted me in just the way he described, that I lost the words. Can you send the full quote to me please? Thank you! // Therese

peter   July 9th, 2009 8:49 pm ET

For MJ, 'Leave HIM alone.....' RIP

dectur   July 9th, 2009 8:49 pm ET

Janet is not the youngest girl,
Randy is the youngest son

Beth from Petaluma   July 9th, 2009 8:49 pm ET

I was wondering why Janet's boyfriend wasn't at the memorial. Anyone know? She's been with him for awhile yet so it seems strange. Is there a story there?

dectur   July 9th, 2009 8:49 pm ET

Janet is the youngest girl,
Randy is the youngest son

Janie from Louisiana   July 9th, 2009 8:51 pm ET

Good to learn more about the Jackson family. Hope they will be able to have some semblance of peace in their time of grief for their son and brother and father. Time for us, the public, to leave these people alone!

Shawn Abbott Augusta Maine   July 9th, 2009 8:57 pm ET

Ok true its sad that MJ died how ever he was just like everyone else just that he could sing. I belive the media needs to let up on the coverage of him there are many other things in this world besides him to report on. Hes been gone for 2 weeks enough is enough its getting old news move on to something else.

kimberly   July 9th, 2009 9:01 pm ET

Congressman King slams MJ then proceeds to deny slavey. How did he get elected and who is spear heading the project to unseat him?

PT   July 9th, 2009 9:09 pm ET

what about Joh'Vonnie?

Lisa   July 9th, 2009 9:22 pm ET

After all the horrible things media did to Michael –> CNN at least is trying to put things right, in a compassionate and tolerant perspective for Michael and for that I'm grateful. I now have new hope in the media doing the right thing with this. Thank you!

Milton Smith   July 9th, 2009 9:29 pm ET

Jackson little girl paris, took it all in and fun times begins money yes I have money now let's go into the bedroom Iv'e got a realy smooth closet I wana show you.

Sharon   July 9th, 2009 9:45 pm ET

Janet is the youngest daughter/child period. The three youngest Jackson children were Michael #7, Randy #8, and Janet #9. Their spouses and significant others were there, they were not sitting in the front row with the family. Referring to where was Janet's boyfriend (Jermain Dupri).

Phinell Franklin   July 9th, 2009 9:47 pm ET

Anderson Cooper, You're always on Your Job! Excellent interactive photo and work as usual! The viewers can always count on you to deliver!

Michael Jackson was enveloped with love from his family and children. So much to live for, this I will never fully understand! My heart goes out to Katherine. I am certainly praying for her strength.

patricia   July 9th, 2009 9:50 pm ET

hi Anderson i know CNN like to broadcast everything about Michael Jackson, so please tell me why you all do not broadcast this....The first kid who accused Michael of sexual abuse now recant that allegation, and claim he has on tape his father telling him to lie,its been heard on radio kiss FM.I want to know why CNN have not reported on this latest development in the M J saga,Is CNN bias? i'll be watching

linda page   July 9th, 2009 10:09 pm ET

They need to bury him quit using him as a meal ticket and where was the family intervention a real one would have been reporting the dr to the police

maryann   July 9th, 2009 10:19 pm ET

This is worse than the anna nichole mess didn't people learn from that mess

Michelle   July 9th, 2009 10:19 pm ET

AC360,
I am so saddened to imagine Michael's death could be criminal.
I feel so badly for his family and esp. his children who thought so
much about their father. His life ended so sadly and so needlessly.
I know how addictions can overcome your life as I have caught
myself stopping addictions in my life. I wish Michael really could
have overcome his addictions.

Kelly   July 9th, 2009 10:23 pm ET

what i dont understand is that he was a really good father.. that was the only thing that made him happy.. then why would he take drugs?? didnt he think about his kids and what would happen to them when they found out what he was doing behind them.

Nessa   July 9th, 2009 10:24 pm ET

Why does the public focus on all the negative information and not the positive?

Amy S   July 9th, 2009 10:24 pm ET

Some inaccuracies here – Jermaine was the other lead singer, not Jackie; and Tito was the guitarist for the Jackson 5/Jacksons, not Marlon. A quick Google search would have told you that.

Krista, NC   July 9th, 2009 10:27 pm ET

Jermaine,

Your great rendition of "Smile" deeply touched me. You have a beautiful voice. Thank you for that lovely tribute to your brother. God Bless and
: )

Claudette   July 9th, 2009 10:27 pm ET

Great job... really wants to meet his siblings... at least those who have remained behind the scenes

tonya, bklyn   July 9th, 2009 10:37 pm ET

I wish they could just leave him alone and let him rest n peace! I would like to know more about his lupus condition than is he the biological father of his three kids. Also I think Mrs. Jackson would do a great job raising those three kids. I wouldn't want to see them spilt up, its not a good feeling being serparated from your siblings. I know from expperience. Ms. Rowe please leave them kids with their grandmother together don't seperate them! Luv you Michael n rest n pease! I wish I had meet you before you passed.

Marge Temple   July 9th, 2009 10:39 pm ET

Somebody shoudl put Michael's father in prison for the way he treated him. RIP MJ! We love you!

Debbie   July 9th, 2009 10:43 pm ET

I believe that the rest of the quote to Larry King was "and nothing is safe."

tanya   July 9th, 2009 10:44 pm ET

Everyone needs to lve the Jackson Family alone!R.I.P. Michael

Vicky Zelenka   July 9th, 2009 10:45 pm ET

Michael was the most talented (in my opinion) of all the Jackson's. And, I agree, his will should be honored......I thought that was what a will was for....to decide how one's property and children should be cared for. MJ's Will should be given the same consideration any other Will would receive. Unfortunately MJ had problems in life and he continues to have problems 2 weeks after his death. Will people NEVER let him rest in peace?!?!?

S.G.   July 9th, 2009 10:46 pm ET

Anderson, I love your program. But, I must say, I am tired of hearing about the probes into Michael Jackson and inquiries as to who's the father of his children, and the location of his body. This type of "investigative news" appear morbid and unnecessary, especially since his memorial two days ago. His family and kids might be watching. This type of reporting is hurtful, and isn't worldly news. Please stop the madness

Tammy McCreary   July 9th, 2009 10:49 pm ET

Marlons twin brothers name was Brandon, He died at birth

Vanessa   July 9th, 2009 10:55 pm ET

In the story about the siblings, they left out "Randy." why?

Pam   July 9th, 2009 10:57 pm ET

Kate, the report did not highlight the youngest son, Randy.

Mimi   July 9th, 2009 10:58 pm ET

Did you miss Randy Jackson? I did not hear any updates on what he is doing today? He is the brother between Micheal and Janet.

Bren   July 9th, 2009 10:59 pm ET

I too wondered where Jermaine Duprie was along with Chris Tucker, Emmanuel Lewis, MaCauley Culkin & Oprah. At least Elizabeth Taylor and Diana Ross sent their regards....two very dynamic women who loved MJ very much.

Hope   July 9th, 2009 11:00 pm ET

marlon's twin brother brandon died at birth, janet is the youngest grl and randy is the youngest boy

lisa   July 9th, 2009 11:01 pm ET

no doubt this family will be in the history books some day, i believe that the jackson five bought fabulous music to us, and also michael jackson will always be the greatest artist to ever grace us, god rest his soul, and i will miss him and his beautiful voice so much......

Angela from Georgia   July 9th, 2009 11:02 pm ET

I will be praying for this family.

Primrose   July 9th, 2009 11:03 pm ET

The world has missed an icon-R.I.P Micheal-it was so pleasing to see how comfortable the children are with their aunts and uncle–i pray that they will continue to give them the love , support and good direction–God bless the Jacksons

phyllis   July 9th, 2009 11:03 pm ET

It is sad his brothers are not doing more with their lives. Were they living off of janet and michael? Why they could not keep a wife is beyond me.

Michele Poulin   July 9th, 2009 11:03 pm ET

Why is there no mention of Randy Jackson in all the news reports surrounding Michael's death? I've heard nothing about him throughout all of this coverage.

Valerie Tipperary Ireland   July 9th, 2009 11:04 pm ET

Michael Jackson was and will be the biggest performer ever to appear on the emerald Isle I was at all 3 performances he was and always will be CLASS. R.I.P Michael you are a true star.

Dee   July 9th, 2009 11:05 pm ET

The dead twin's name was Brandon not Brian.

Mo   July 9th, 2009 11:05 pm ET

If MJ is such old news why are you leaving comments on this page move on to somethng else?

alterlatina   July 9th, 2009 11:06 pm ET

Janet IS the youngest of the family...and Marlon's twin brother died at birth and his name was Brandon, not Brian.

Ken   July 9th, 2009 11:07 pm ET

Let this amazing entertainer R.I.P. We all have our crosses to bare.

patsy   July 9th, 2009 11:07 pm ET

I am so sad with all the crap thats still being said about Michael.
He;s gone! Let his poor family try and put their lives back together, and do what is best for those beautiful kids.I know a little of what they are going through, My brother was killed by a hit and run driver in 1987, He was 1 of 8 kids. There was 4 boys and 4 girls, and my parents didn't have one to give a way. Althoug he wasn't famous and he had some problems with drugs, we loved him just the same. Please just stop all the rumors, let him rest in peace. Know matter what I will Love him forever. He will forever be my King!!!!!!!!!

Susan Terry   July 9th, 2009 11:08 pm ET

I feel so sorry for the children. They need time to grieve in private. My hope is that they will all get to stay with their grandmother and that their nanny will be there with them also. Janet seems to care for the children. If someone else has to take them, I hope she will consent to take care of them. The judge need to definitely outlaw Debbie Rowe. She is not a "mother"!

Emma   July 9th, 2009 11:14 pm ET

some one was wondering about Marlon's twin- Brandon-he died at birth. Marlon is the brother closest (age-wise) to Michael Jackson.

Vicky   July 9th, 2009 11:14 pm ET

I agree, enuff is enuff.Yes he was a good singer but he was also a drug addict .Everyone is trying to glorify him but our children will get the impression that it's ok and cool to be a drug addict...cool to be like him.And as far as the memoral service ,California and the city where it took place are both BROKE,handing out IOU'S,and now they want donations to pay for this .They didnt have the money to do this so it should not have been done.Thousands & thousands of people all over the country are loosing there jobs, homes, health insurance, cant pay there bills or buy food, this was not nessary to but on this show .So let all the rich & famous who took part in it pay for it.And if and I say if he mollested any little boys those poor children have to live with that the rest of thier lives....just think about that one.

Annette New York   July 9th, 2009 11:17 pm ET

I know the public wants to know why Michael died. No matter how much we know he is still gone. What a loss! Could you please do a special or share information on his humanitarian efforts and the money he spent to “Make the World A Better Place.” Please provide details. I think this will answer those who ask why so much media on Michael Jackson. They seem to see him as “Just a singer and dancer.” Michael was so much more. I saw him and his brother win the talent contest at the Apollo. We have lost our Mozart. Genius is so hard to understand by the non genius. God Bless his soul and protect his children.

James Willis   July 9th, 2009 11:18 pm ET

It's unfortunate that Micheal died the way he did. He and the entire family needed help along time ago. If anyone is to blame, it's Joe Jackson, the father. He needed to set a good example for all his children, starting with being a faithful, loving husband to his wife. It's amazing and sad that noone in his family was close enough to him to make an impact in his life; however, we can now see the power of an addiction.

gillian   July 9th, 2009 11:18 pm ET

his singing and dancing talents outbeat all other entertainers. i know because i saw him live in concert. why dont people stop talking about his down side and emphasize his atchievments instead?

Angela   July 9th, 2009 11:20 pm ET

There is no doubt that Michael loved his kids, but why did he not love them enough to cease the drug use and watch them grow to be productive adults? As a parent that's something we all want.

johnson   July 9th, 2009 11:20 pm ET

this is very sad, however the case may be micheal jackson is no longer here, we can never see him or hear his voice again. the children he left behide have no mother or father. and the family has lost a loved one. Micheal now rest in the arms of our father and may you now get peace and rest.

Rhonda Bryant   July 9th, 2009 11:21 pm ET

Michael was 10 months older than me and like a lot of girls I grew up
thinking I would grow up and marry him-right-huh.When he died it was as if a piece of me or I should say my childhood died.I have cried
for the past 2 weeks and while it does hurt he is not coming back.We
need to let him go.My symphaties go to his family especially his mother.I cannot comprehend buring my child.God comfort their hearts.

Paula   July 9th, 2009 11:21 pm ET

Therese: the quote you reference is this: "a fatherless child thinks all things possible and nothing is safe".

Ken   July 9th, 2009 11:22 pm ET

What a great family. I know Michael was an Indigo child, but I'm not sure about Janet. However, I know that Janet had a very close relationship with Michael ever since they were young. She must be in real pain right now. She's acting like such a mom to Paris.

kelly   July 9th, 2009 11:25 pm ET

wow people need ti leave this family alone let them live they people too rip micheal love you.....................................................

CC   July 9th, 2009 11:26 pm ET

BTW Marlon's twin brother wa still born and his name was Brandon not Brian. The media should give the family a break now.Let them mourn their loss in private and let MJ rest in peace. Who cares where the family wants to bury MJ's body, its their business. And now all those so called Jackson insiders and sources need to stay out of the family's business. They all knew he was addicted to prescription drugs and no one said anything and now that he is dead evryone has a story to tell.

Faith   July 9th, 2009 11:26 pm ET

Not just a person died on June 25 but a legend beyond his own comprehension. There are very few human beings in this world that had their lives thrown in and out of a gutter. Michael Jackson many times could have just quit his life for the things he has been threw, but instead he rose above it and kept pushing and pushing to make this world a better place. Did what he do impact every human being on this planet?? NO of course not, but to the hundreds and thousands of people he did impact may very well owe their very life to him in one way or another. His music impacted me beyond any words I can ever say or express. I can never ever explain the pain, sorrow and possibly even guilt I have in my heart since his passing and I'm not asking for sympathy. What I wish for is that let him RIP!!! His soul needs to move on to heal!!

Faith   July 9th, 2009 11:30 pm ET

Marlon's twin brother's name was Brandon not Brian (sorry for the correction sharjco)

t.deal   July 9th, 2009 11:32 pm ET

Micheal Jackson and the Jackson family is simply a product of fame. There's a price in this life for fame. All of Hollywood's stars are paying the price. What we all should realize and ask ourselves is how can we the public love these human being to this level of fame? People are just people and life is just life. Respect them both and we all will enjoy the fame. we are not robots just people. Leave the Jackson's alone to grief and let Michael rest in peace. Don't you think he finally deserves that after 45 years of working day and night. No wonder he used drugs. I would too if I had the whole world on my shoudlers to entertain. What a life Mike must have had. I love you mike and all the jackson's I pray for your peace.

Jasmine Mathes   July 9th, 2009 11:34 pm ET

I Love You Michael Jackson.R.I.P MJ!

Robin from minneapolis   July 9th, 2009 11:36 pm ET

The doctor that was with Michael Jackson when he died had worked on him for 30 minutes before the paramedics arrived. Why was he working on him so long prior to paramedics being called? I believe the doctor knew he would be in trouble and was trying to save his own butt. He was hoping he could revive him without incident. It is so sad that Jackson put his faith and life into the hands of someone who should have known better.

agnes   July 9th, 2009 11:37 pm ET

with soo many sibilings , I am dissapointed they could not save MJ from the drugs , intervine and get him help .

sharenda williams   July 9th, 2009 11:37 pm ET

Leave him alone invastigating the death fine but other things about his appearence. Why can't you leave him as a human being with flaws and I love him the same, heis

sharenda williams   July 9th, 2009 11:38 pm ET

He is just famous beyound belief

Linda   July 9th, 2009 11:42 pm ET

It sickens me to watch the news now because of all the talk about Michael Jackson. The man just died and his family is grieving over their loss, his children are devastated from the loss of their father! And all the reports on the news are about him using drugs and even some have been questioning who fathered his children. First of all, a dad is someone who takes care and loves you and who is there for you when you need them. And since he obliviously has been there for his children why is it so important for the media to bring these types of topics up when his children are grieving for their father and may see this? Has the media become so cruel that they would hurt innocent children by reporting this just to get ratings? But then again the same thing happened to Princess Diana. As for the drug use..we all know that many entertainers do take drugs and I do agree that the doctors prescribing these drugs should be held responsible for their actions. And the law should take care of those who are responsible! But what bothers me the most is now that Michael Jackson is not there to defend himself or protect his children, people are now taking full advantage of it by selling their stories fact or fiction to the media for publicity and or for easy money. And I'm very disappointed with the media for allowing this to happen. You would think they would want to reflect on the good that Michael Jackson did, but I have not seen one news report on the good deeds that he has done over the years. And that is truely sad! May he rest in peace...but we know that his family and children may never have peace again, no thanks to those who want to do them harm!

Wanza   July 9th, 2009 11:43 pm ET

Rebbie is the oldest girl and was the first marry & move away. Janet is the youngest girl with Steven Randall AKA Randy as the youngest son. The family faced trials before, for example Randy was temporary paralyzed in the early 80s after car or motorcycle accident. As well as, the siblings made sacrifices to ensure the Jackson legacy. Like Tito & Jackie were great baseball players but they put their sports dreams aside to pursue their singing careers. As you see, the Jacksons made individual sacrifices too. But you see, Michael but it was family effort that helped Michael to transform himself from little brother into the King of Pop.

Jani from New Jersey   July 9th, 2009 11:44 pm ET

Just wondering if the up and coming concerts were to be held in London starting next week, why was everyone in LA praciting? If he was in such a sad state would he be able to cope with the flight across the pond?

Wanza   July 9th, 2009 11:47 pm ET

As you see, Michael is who he is because of the family making individual sacrifices to make The King of Pop.

theresa   July 9th, 2009 11:49 pm ET

hello anderson i know you are away from the desk tonight. i just wanted to mention about the jackson,s memorial and how they are looking for donations to pay for the costs. i mentioned the other day how it might be a good idea to get a cd of all the artists that performed at the memorial . it would be memorable for the fans and also a beautiful tribute to michael. all the artists would also be recognised for their talent. as of yesterday i was so stirred with emotion over usher,s tribute song i bought my first cd of usher and i am now interested in him as an artist. is it possible to send this idea onto anybody concerned with the cost of the memorial.^anyway this idea hit me today at work thinking about michael. love all you do anderson always enjoy watching you on ac360.

Cebo   July 9th, 2009 11:51 pm ET

Messed up I am, I'm all messed up...'Confused' with a capital C. Why would the media speculate that MJ is not the biological father of his children? Was he that troubled that he can't produce sperms? As for Dr Klein whoever his name is, I think the reason he's living us with a big question mark is PUBLICITY...

Sandra   July 10th, 2009 12:02 am ET

I did not hear the commentators talkmabout what is up with Randy.

MSJ   July 10th, 2009 12:03 am ET

Shawn Abbott Augusta: Michael Jackson is the greatest entertainer that our eyes will ever see. PERIOD. A misundertood humanitarian who poured over $350 million into charites. You cannot say that "he was just like everyone else." The other Jacksons, with the exception of Janet, cannot even touch what Michael did. He supported them financially, and sadly, though they tried to intervene, it was already too late. This story is still relevant as it sheds light on the ever present surge in prescription drug addiction and the mony hungry "pill-pushing" doctors that feed these addicts. We have to talk about it so that this can never happen again. Long live the King of Pop, and the coverage of him...

evette   July 10th, 2009 12:05 am ET

Marlons twin brothers name was Brandon not Brian

Yolanda   July 10th, 2009 12:06 am ET

Brandon is the name of Marlon's twin.

Effie Rolfe   July 10th, 2009 12:08 am ET

Nice pictures and a beautiful family. Correction, it was Jermaine and Michael that were lead singers, not Jackie and Mike. Not only have I followed their careers since the late seventies, but also, Jermaine just mentioned that during the days of the Jackson 5, he and Michael shared hotel rooms because they were the lead singers.

Moving forward, my prayers are with the family in their loss. May God's love continue to comfort them and our prayers continue to strengthen them in the days to come.

Thanks to the family for sharing Michael with the World and thanks MJ for using your God given gifts and talents and allowing us to have sooooooooooo many Great memories!!!

Joyce   July 10th, 2009 12:10 am ET

The MJ coverage was excellent and the memorial very moving and proper. Now do you think we could just "fold our tents and quietly steal away" and let him rest in peace? The highs in his life were fantastic but it was those lows that finally did him in. Let's move on!

Marcella   July 10th, 2009 12:11 am ET

The world lost a great entertainer, the Jacksons lost a family member but most of all,the children lost a dad, and don't even have a mother to comfort them,Im sure grandma is wonderful, but she's not mom.

Carmella   July 10th, 2009 12:11 am ET

It doesn't tell you what they are doing now. I little disappointing.

Carol   July 10th, 2009 12:12 am ET

To Therese-quote from Anderson Cooper to Larry King:
"A fatherless child thinks all things possible and nothing is safe."
Anderson mentioned he did not know the author.

My God Bless Michael's children. Michael is their father, was their father, and always will be. Why must the media continue to bring up questions as to who their biological father is. Does it really matter. Prince, Paris and Blanket have a father and he was Michael Jackson, leave it alone. Why torment the children. As for the children, they belong with their grandmother in surroundings they are familiar with, family they know and love and who love them. Their place is with the Jackson family and should anyone else decide to get involved it is merely for the money and let's hope the courts realize this. Michael Jackson is the greatest entertainer that ever lived.

Enough with Michael Jackson I am sick and tired of listening to this, the media coverage is sick to be that involved. They are more important issues that need coverage. This was nothing but a exploitation of him and his family which was digusting. Life goes on so lets move along and get on with life CNN.

MJ fan   July 10th, 2009 12:14 am ET

Most of the information that CNN gave tonight regarding the Jackson siblings on AC360 can be found on Wiklopedia. I thought that we watch CNN to hear news.

Michael Jackson was a gifted performer, someone beloved not only in this country, but around the world. He meant something to so many people. Despite his personal struggles, he was a good person, a humanitarian. The way he died was sudden and tragic. It may also in the end be criminal; his death shines a bright light on addiction. Of course people are interested and concerned to know what happened. However, even as the details of the investigation continue to come out, my hope is that as time goes on, now that he has passed, the innuendo, exaggerations, and lies will stop, and he can finally have the peace that he never had in life. I wish this for his children as well, and for the rest of the family. Let's keep our good memories of him and let him have that peace that he deserves.

Diane   July 10th, 2009 12:22 am ET

When in the state of denial, close family members or others trying to help the situation, are always the bad guys. The problem is very difficult to cope with and intervention rarely sucessful. These victims – whether it is a drug dependency or a brain injury – are self destructing before your eyes; and in many cases controlled by the wrong people. The doctors and security personal who saw what was happening to Michael and did nothing to help him, should be held criminally responsible. Such a sad and complex state of affairs for the Jackson family .

Shawn stop hating, if you're sick of the coverage change the channel...also why did you even bother to click on an interactive picture and join the chat if you hate the coverage so much? ...Therese, I don't quite remember the rest of the quote, but it goes something like " "Nothing is safe." or "Doesn't feel safe." It was a beautiful quote...Annie Kate, I believe Marlon's twin died a few hours after childbirth...his name was Brandon...Beth you raise a good point! Where was JD?!!...Rest in peace Michael...we love you....

What a Good looking family..... I tell you Janet really said alot and it was well said.
May God Continue to Bless The Jackson Family.

1. i want to find out what the rest of the Jackson Five(not including Michael) is doing professionally? I know that Jermaine sang for many years after the group broke up. but he stopped a long time ago. but what has he and the rest of them been doing since they stopped singing?

I would really like to know. they are really a nice family that we all can emulate.

2. do they have a website where fans can offer their condolences to the family?

marge andrews   July 10th, 2009 12:25 am ET

Leave the Jackson's brothers and sister alone, they have been through alot in their time. Would you as an individual like for others to talk about you in a negative way (don't think so). As far as Debbie Rowe ,she need to get lost, all she is thinking is about money. Mrs. Kathrine Jackson can take care of those children (there are people who are older than her is taking care of grandchildren, and I am one of those individuals who take care of my great grand children, thinks before you speak out loud) and I work everyday with high risk children. This world is full of hate, to many negative individuals that live today.
But GOD is watching all of us what we do and say. BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR MOUTH, it is the nasty part of your body. Love You MJ and Kathrine Jackson. MJ's brothers and sisters keep looking above to the HEAVENS.

Kareen   July 10th, 2009 12:28 am ET

the media is kinda overdoing it for true. i know that the public needs to know the truth of how Michael died. cause i really want to know. but the rumour that the children are not for Michael, is really wicked. his family really doesn't need these kind of rumours now, man.

Debra   July 10th, 2009 12:30 am ET

Therese.....I was also taken by Anderson's quote "fatherless child knows no limits..." I too did not catch it all and would like the full quote. Thanks!!!!

I just want to say that Michael Jacksons Memorial was very moving and with all that has happened it was not what i expected. I was deeply touched and felt like part of the Jackson Family that day. I wish them well in their time of grief, because honestly you cannot forget someone as talented and giving as Michael who through his Music & Talent has touch so many lives and generations and will continue to do so now more than ever. To the Jackson Family thank you for sharing Michael with all of us and allowing us to grieve with you.
MICHAEL THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC
REST IN PEACE

Donna in FL   July 10th, 2009 12:44 am ET

My daughter and I were discussing why Michael, for some reason, didn't want biological children. You would naturally think he would, but my daughter suggested that he didn't want his father's blood to reproduce through him because he was so hurt by his father and he wanted his generation of Jackson's to end with him. I never looked at it that way, but it made since to me.

chrisitna   July 10th, 2009 12:45 am ET

i will always miss micheal mater fact i jus pull some of my posters and hang them up again fell like that 17 yr old girl again. and this Miko guy i known he famous but i think he knows whatis going on and the children are beautiful i think their father did a darn good job to protect them this drama from media so i wish peoples will leave this family alone let them morn the one they lost

MeShelle   July 10th, 2009 1:02 am ET

I hear alot of women say, I fell in love with Michael first and then had a crush on Jermaine. I thought that way too, when I was younger. My number one is Michael though. He's the only celebrity that I ever wanted to meet. I pray for the family and hope they will be able to sustain. God Bless the Jackson's

Gloria   July 10th, 2009 1:19 am ET

Anderson Cooper, please answer this for me. I understand that Michael Jackson grew to become what people call the King Of Pop.
But does the media ever stop to think about what this kind of coverage does to the family? His mother has enough stress on her wondering what happened to her son. Michael was so in a great deal of pain Mentally and physically. The Media can drive people off the wall. Yes, we are concerned about what happened to him but we were concerned about him before his passing. Why is the Media so concerned after his death? No one seemed to care before. All the Media did was put him down about his looks and never thought to think about how that affected him inside. Maybe if The Media take time to remember that WORDS DO HURT. Had he not been so stressed out with people following his every move, reporting everything he did, maybe he could have gone home to get a good nights rest without needing to be medicated. He still has a family who's hurting right now. They don't need all of this talk during their grief. It's hurting them more. Please consider his family. The Media is most of the time "After The Fact". Show love and concern while a person is living.

Peter Bosman   July 10th, 2009 1:20 am ET

Why was michael jackson's kid exploited so much after she gave a short little speach about her father at the memorial...I mean really there shouldn't be a big deal about that...like why soo much talk on it..The jackson family should be just left alone after michaels death , and honestly i think that katherine jackson seems like a really really sweet kinda and gently lady and im sure she is very capable of taking care of michael jackson's kids...i think there was talk about Debbie Rowe getting the kids after katherine had the kids temporarily..but i think the court should grant katherine jackson permanent custody of the kids because it seems that she is such a kind hearted person and very loving and caring. And this whole talk about how michael jackson died i mean is it really that important that its gotta be talked about A LOT...give the guy a break let him REST IN PEACE.

Beth   July 10th, 2009 1:24 am ET

I wish people would stop blaming the Jackson Family for not getting Michael off drugs.
They are no different than any family that has to deal with a drug addict. They tried INTERVENTIONS but Michael always resisted.

Sadly, we have to blame the greedy doctors who gave Michael the drigs, plus Michael himself. It is too bad he didn't care enough about hiws kids and himself to have gotten clean.

Romy Macias   July 10th, 2009 1:25 am ET

Annie Kate,

From what I know, Marlon had a twin brother Brandon that died at birth.

Michael served his purpose in life. Just as Michael we all have a purpose here on earth. Let us use the gift that. God has given us and let us learn from all of this. Learn to love each other. God Bless U Michael Jackson.

I think this famous black family are so wonderful and bles, why are people so jealous, i come a family of ten myself and we are bless too, just without the fortune and fame, so leave them alone

Michele   July 10th, 2009 1:47 am ET

According to Katherine Jackson's book, Marlon had a twin named Brandon who only lived for a few hours. The twins (Marlon and Brandon) were named after Marlon Brando, a favorite actor of Katherine Jackson's in the 1950s. Ironic that her kid would grow up and become a friend of Brando's and employ Brando's son for many years.

Michele   July 10th, 2009 1:58 am ET

Marlon never played guitar for the band. He was a dancer and singer. Tito, Jermaine and Randy played instruments on stage. Jackie, Michael and Marlon did not.

While they aren't Kings of Pop, Michael's brothers were fantastic performers in their day. These guys were not just Pips to Michael's Gladys. I always thought they were precision dancers, very funny when together, and could have put on a great Vegas style show in their own right.

Darrnell   July 10th, 2009 1:59 am ET

LBisson   July 10th, 2009 2:04 am ET

Certainly after such a beautiful sendoff for Michael one would hope the Jackson family would get a reprieve from the rumor mill – here comes more – from likely-dismissed former employees of Michael's adding more flame to the pyre. Undoubtedly it would have been more "helpful" to come forward with this info earlier, motives now seem suspect.

JOYCE   July 10th, 2009 2:04 am ET

Jo Jackson was the jackson's backbone , he started them off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!give him some credit!! he took them from a two bedroom house in Indiand to mansion in California, so how bad could he be ??????

Tammy,S.C.   July 10th, 2009 2:05 am ET

My only question is why didn't Michael think more of the children when taking all the drugs. My heart really gones out for those precious kids who now are without a mom and a dad. They appear to be really close to Aunt Janet.

Alec   July 10th, 2009 2:09 am ET

The entire Jackson family story is sad and tragic. I think much of it is the fault of their father, Joe. He's a greedy individual who I think cared first about dollar signs, and second about raising his children right. I think most Americans who grew up listening to their music are mourning the loss of Michael, and feeling the the pain of the Jackson siblings and mother. I choose to remember Michael and his siblings for the good they did for the music industry and black America, and Michael for his exceptional talent, showmanship and humanitarian work. Rest in peace Michael Jackson.

marly   July 10th, 2009 2:12 am ET

I believe that people should respect the dead. Those people who can only say the negative about people especially accusations which proved to be all lies should learn that Michael's life should be celebrated. He was a great person and a very caring one and this is what I dislike about people- they only look at the negative...the bad...the ugly but fail to look at the good that that person has done. I strongly believe that people need to stop judging and start loving.
The world needs to learn the human power which the Lord has taught us in the Scriptures....that is the message of forgiveness.
Michael will always be loved because he was an humanitarian and gave selflessly.
R.I.P MJ and may God bless your family and help them through this tough time.

Maggie   July 10th, 2009 2:17 am ET

For a very long time, MJ had the world at his feet (especially the girls!) and yet, it absolutely blows my mind to hear how very shy and insecure (about appearance) he was in private.

I guess it's true what they say: " Don't judge a book by its cover".

RIP Michael Jackson. :-(

I never tire of reading more about Michael and his family. I do hope that the media will stop digging into every inch of Michael's life though. Enuf is Enuf! Michael had a lot of physical and emotional pain. He had a bad burn, he had lupus, vitiligo and with those multiple surgeries, i read that he had contracted some kind of staph infection at one time that was spreading throughout his body that doctors ferociously fought against. He was falsely accused of being a pediphile. With all that... no wonder he was addicted to drugs. There are many drug addicts out there that have far less that they are dealing with.

As an adopted black person who was adopted into a white family, I believe it is in the best interest of the children to know if possible who their biological parents are and have a relationship with them. It looks looks 2/3 not black. If MJ had created his own children the scenario would be different. But in essence MJ bought his children.

Now that the kids are getting older, they will want to know their real identities. I am sure that second generations Jackson cousins are already pointing out the children that they are not "blood " relatives. It is also not clear that MJ maintained a "regular relationship with his own family and it looks to me that his children have too been estranged from them. My fear is that the cash-strapped Jackson clan who use the children and their inheritance. I think the Jackson's and the biological parents, should be involved in their care. I think Roe and Klein can help support a normal existence.

Furthermore, if Klein is the father, the children will also inherit their Jewish heritage which they have been estranged from by being raised by MJ. Roe is also Jewish.

MJ brought these children into his complicated world and did not care enough to get the help he needed to kick his drug habit. In fact he endangered the children by having narcotics in the house. The Jackson's have a lot of baggage.

Andie Wooldridge   July 10th, 2009 2:41 am ET

Catherine Jackson was one of my customers at Nordtrom and I couldn't believe how kind, down to earth, and humble she was considering she is the mother of such famous kids! My brother also ran into Janet awhile ago, and also said she was very kind and humble! What a great family!

Sandrac   July 10th, 2009 3:18 am ET

It's so sad when it takes a horrible tragedy the worst which in my mind is death to bring a separated family together. One does not realize what they truly have until it is permanently taken away. The Jackson family has a very undulating road ahead of them. Grief, guilt, shock and unbelievable accusations. May God bless MJ's children, please protect them from the cruel world of insensitive reporters, they should be aloud to mourn their daddy in peace. I pray that the public will just let it go and for once in his life may MJ have some peace(through his children) he will live on.I loved MJ and my heart is heavy, please let it go and let him rest in peace.May God protect his children from the evils of this world and the vultures out to make a name for themselves.May Peace be with the, children, family and true fans.

Kimber   July 10th, 2009 3:31 am ET

I am thankful for your coverage on Michael and including Larry King Live coverage. It has helped to dispell a lot of myths surrounding Michaels life that were not understood by many people. As it all comes to light, a lot of it starts to make sense. His life needs to be told from facts and not fiction. This will not only help to heal a lot of wounds that we as the public watched being inflicted upon Michael, it will also be healing for his family and close friends who have had to endure watching Michael crumble under the wieght of all the accusations that have been false. We didn't see it comming, because through it all, he "Smiled". (Charlie Chaplin)

Bruce   July 10th, 2009 3:52 am ET

MJ's Will/Trust did not give Janet guardianship. He gave it to his mother. If Janet wants guardianship she has to contest MJ's Will/Trust through the courts. Once Kathrine passes away the kids go to Diana Ross. Primarily Wills are to be followed according to the deceased wishes in writing. Only a judge can deviate from what the Will says if it is not in the best interest of the children.

Most bloggers blame Joe Jackson for the abuse of all the Jackson children, but a mother's role is to protect her children. Katherine did not do that.

Suzie   July 10th, 2009 4:05 am ET

Anderson: Erica did a great job tonight.
The results of the autosopy will also determine if MJ's life insurance will be paid by the insurance company. Under contract for the tour, I'm sure it's a large amount.

Judy - Las Vegas   July 10th, 2009 4:10 am ET

I think its about time attention is brought to all the doctors giving prescription drugs that are so addictive likes its candy and they should pay the full price like everyone else for what they did to MJ and to all the thousands that are affected by drug addictions these doctors are getting away with "murder" and this needs to stop there are too many people getting these drugs easy and to whom it may concern should take action against the doctors that distribute these kinds of drugs too often and too soon .

mary   July 10th, 2009 4:18 am ET

My greatest curiousity with MJ is that having these myriad of doctors and resources around him, didn't any of them educate him on genetics before he considered using donor sperms and surrogates for kids? The only explanation I can fathom why he chose donor sperms and surrogate is if he was infertile and had no single viable sperm to use.. Didn't he realize that we do inherit intelligence, artistry, etc from our parents.?..
Anyway,he alone knows the reason behind his decision .
May he finally find peace in death .RIP forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barb   July 10th, 2009 5:45 am ET

Just want to clear up some questions that have been asked. Marlon did have a twin named Brandon that I believe died at birth. Janet is the youngest sibling of the Jackson clan. Randy is the youngest boy but Janet is the baby of the bunch. Janet's boyfriend was at the memorial, I watched on CNN and the camera panned and I saw him. I think all of the spouses and children sat behind the parents and siblings of Michael Jackson.

Barb   July 10th, 2009 5:57 am ET

I want to know why so many people are making a big deal about Michael not being the biological father of those kids. He loved those children and they loved him. Do you have any ideal how many adopted children and foster children there are in this country. People like Barbara Walters, Angelina Jolie and Madonna all have children that they did not give birth to. There are many everyday people and celebrities who give great homes to children. The media and the nay sayers need to just leave the subject of the childrens blood line alone. Let the court decide where they should go!!!!!!

Caffie from MS   July 10th, 2009 6:12 am ET

It would be really nice for all three of MJs children to remain with Mrs. Jackson, but yet the other siblings to share in bringing the children up, if possible. Because MJ is the only father they know and they don't need to be tormented by who may or who may not be be their parents.

TERIA   July 10th, 2009 6:30 am ET

The is a lovely family that is so devoted to each other and they are in my prayers. I grew up in Jamaica watching them and both parents kept each of them grounded and in the Jehovah Witness faith. As for Michael he endured a lot of pressure and if you are not strong sometimes you can lose it. I am quite sure his parents and sibblings tried to intervene as much as possible, but sometime you can only do but so much. I love this family and I pray for them and Michael's children. It was good seeing all of them together. I hope that the brothers will go on a tour....would love to see them together again.

Sandy   July 10th, 2009 9:33 am ET

Good morning, I blame the doctors, and the circle of friends Michael had around him. For the doctors, they knew better to given him these prescription drugs. All these pill have a side affects ,when you come off them you can't sleep, so he was taking more pills because of his insomnia to these drugs. (Xanax) I myself have been on these pills. Diprivan, OMG this is something use for surgery, why in the devil would a person in the right mind want to sedate a person with this unless they are having surgery. No excuse license should be taking away, and possible jail time. I don’t care how much Michael wanted this drug you are the license “Physicians” to say NO!!!!! He couldn’t do this ONE by himself.

And far as his friends, that were not his friend when you love someone I don't care how much it hurt, or the money they are giving you, you have to say NO!!!! I commend the security guard that said NO, he was a true friend. It wasn't about the money to him!!!! You all are the blame for Michael death and should be punished. He was going through a lot and needed God in his life not medicine. I recently have stop my Vicodin. I was taking them for chronic pain, I still have pain but I'm trusting God. I wish so much I could or would have known Michael Jackson, so I could have prayed for him. My prayers and love go out to the Jackson Family as a hold. God Bless You, and please keep Momma (Katherine) health and strength up in this time. She need her children like never before. God Bless, Love You All

To All Reader’s

STOP AND THINK ABOUT EVERYDAY STRESS IN YOUR LIFE

First we must respect and give the Jackson family their time too grieve-mourn over their loss. What I remember of the Jackson family from early childhood on television. The Jackson Five Michael’s performance on stage when he was a child. ( the golden goose of the family that took the public by surprise..( A CHILD STAR THAT DID NOT HAVE A REAL OR NORMAL CHILDHOOD. Listen to an interview with Oprah and Michael a song he mention my childhood. The story of the Jackson five is a success story in a time of history of many changes. It was no surprise about drugs. It seems to be the norm of the life of the rich and famous. Actually, drugs have affected many families from every walk of life.

Many Musician’s can not function without something to loosen them up and have had their life destroyed by drugs. Michael was responsible for his own action’s. He was a powerful public figure who demanded and got what he wanted. The questions we asks in email and other medium is for many reason. His actions in resent years and his bizarre behavior was a warning sign nobody would dare to challenge him on. Now that he is gone how many will say I should have done more? When Michael did not care about himself.
Michael and Neverland as I recall from reports on television he did not want to go back to Neverland. Neverland was a place of much controversy that pained him. If the Jackson family was open to a suggestion and want to honor their brother and son in a positive light. I would suggest they put as much distance between them and Neverland as possible. It will inevitably come back to haunt them.

Michael and Deborah and who is your daddy to the children is as bizarre as his behavior in recent years. Blanket being hung over a balcony and his mysterious death.

I'm sick of listening to Marlon Brando's son paint such a rosey picture of Michael's life, especially in the years when they traveled together. Big deal about the wedding at Neverland. If they were so close, why wasn't he a pallbarer? And why does he deny knowledge of MJ's drug use? To hear him talk, Michael was a saint. Oh yes, and what about Katherine Jackson's adoration for Marlon Brando in the 1950's – even naming her twin sons after him. Doesn't Brando's son look a lot like Prince Michael II? Just wondering. . . hum
