Evening, Anderson... you delayed today! :)
Evening, 360 team, David (Indiana) and friends!

Janine from PA.   July 8th, 2009 10:10 pm ET

I'd like to know why Dr. Klein is talking about all this private stuff about Mr. Jackson? Aren't there privacy laws? Did someone give him permission or is it ok to discuss your dead patients?

Mike, Syracuse, NY   July 8th, 2009 10:10 pm ET

Hi Anderson. I'm hoping this won't be another hour of MJ.

Anderson Cooper

evening everyone.. thanks for joining us tonite.

Sharon Hastings   July 8th, 2009 10:10 pm ET

Good evening Anderson and 360 team, all bloggers. The doctor's interview was very interesting but I felt like alot of it was double talk. Maybe it was just the way he talked. We are never going to get this whole story.

BettyAnn,Nacogdoches,TX   July 8th, 2009 10:11 pm ET

ahem, I thought you guys got tired of us there for a minute! Good evening 360 team and tweets and friends.
I predict this MJ thing is going to get creepier and creepier~

Heather - Spokane, WA   July 8th, 2009 10:11 pm ET

Good evening Anderson and everyone

Lori from IL   July 8th, 2009 10:11 pm ET

Good evening Anderson, Erica, and Fellow Bloggers –

Good to see Anderson back in the NY studio –

No Webcam tonight or is it just my computer?

Kelly - Harrisburg, PA   July 8th, 2009 10:11 pm ET

It's good to see you back in NYC, and not on the roof anymore :)

Cindy S., Valparaiso, Indiana   July 8th, 2009 10:11 pm ET

I agree with Mike. Enough about MJ...

Mary Eberhard   July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

We will never forget you Michael, try to RIP....mary

Teresa   July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

Shouldn't the investigators look at the insurance physical? How could pass that and been using drugs and been so cachetic?!

Kathy   July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

What are we going to learn from this doctor? Michael had surgery, Michael had medical issues..Real question..how did Michael Jackson die.

Anderson Cooper
CNN
  July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

Good question Janine, as far as i know medical privacy laws extend pass death.

Tammy, Houma, LA   July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

Hi everyone,

Michael Jackson's story gets more sad every day. Addiction is a pretty strong disease. Family doesn't matter, especially when that family is trying to help.

Jo Ann, North Royalton, Ohio   July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

I wish CNN and 360 would leave Michael Jackson's kids alone. It is not important to talk about them. Stop exploiting them and leave them in peace. Michael would not have wanted this for them.

Paula, Colorado   July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

Anderson,
Hi! It's great to see you back from the rooftop.

Cathy Pollock-Grieve   July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

Michael Jackson has been referred to by many, many people over the years as, “Michael”, “The King of Pop”, “Man in the Mirror”, “The Gloved One”, (the list of cool and not so cool names go on and on and on) . But It was for the first time yesterday on CNN that I (and most likely most of the general public) heard a child, his child, refer to him as “Daddy” in her heart-wrenching speech and all of a sudden it dawned on me…he was also someone’s daddy. My heart goes out to the family.

Chris Sosa - Boston, MA   July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

Good evening, Anderson, Erica, and bloggers.

Troubling news regarding the extent of Jackson's drug dependency. A sad reminder of the dangers of abuse. I was aware of Janet and Michael's distance as of late, but was unaware that his drug dependency was the issue at hand.

Jules   July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

It's sad to hear that the family tried to intervene but weren't successful. I wonder if there is a way to "force" someone to be committed to a treatment facility based on family concerns. How else can a similar situation be averted?

Minou, New York City   July 8th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

hi all...thought the blog was down..

very nice of the Jackson sisters to address the fans.
I saw the LK interview with the doctor. Very interesting, although I am always suspicious of people who seek out the cameras to "speak out". He seemed nice, let's hope he didn't contribute to MJs addiction.

Jaime   July 8th, 2009 10:13 pm ET

It is impossible to articulate the profound impact that Michael Jackson had on not only the world as a whole, but it's people as individuals. The joy he brought and the unity he inspired through his incredible music, his selfless generosity, his kind heart, his brilliant mind and his gentle soul were his gifts to us. And for those of us who's lives he touched, he will always be loved, cherished, appreciated, respected, remembered and revered. My heart, like the hearts of so many, aches with the loss and smiles with the love of Michael Jackson.

Christa Maloney   July 8th, 2009 10:13 pm ET

This is so sad. I still can't believe MJ is gone.

Cynthia, NC   July 8th, 2009 10:13 pm ET

Great investigation work by Drew Griffin with the info that Jackson family members were attempting an intervention to help Michael. I wish they had been successful two years ago.

Lee   July 8th, 2009 10:13 pm ET

The lives and tragedies of MJ and McNair remind us of the importance of focusing on the priorities and values of our life... before it's too late.

Dulcie - Denver   July 8th, 2009 10:13 pm ET

Good evening, everyone. Looking forward to the show tonight. Wish my Tivo wasn't stuck. At least I can see the show.

Jo Ann, North Royalton, Ohio   July 8th, 2009 10:14 pm ET

I don't think it is a surprise to anyone that Michael Jackson was a drug addict, but it is surprising that more was not done to help him.

Frankly, I didn't believe a word Dr. Klein said.

barb wallace, ab canada   July 8th, 2009 10:14 pm ET

why would a dematologist be giving patients demerol injections?

Krasi   July 8th, 2009 10:14 pm ET

Hello World!! ...its been a long time since i blogged..cant wait to jump in :)

Michelle D . Fonthill. Ont   July 8th, 2009 10:14 pm ET

Good Evening Anderson

The cause of Micheal's death should not be made public he had enough of spotlight on him let him rest in peace. No one has the right to expoit him like this .

Lori from IL   July 8th, 2009 10:15 pm ET

Caught part of Dr. Klein's interview with Larry King - seemed to be very free with Michael's medical information, but when it came to a paternity question of MJ's two oldest children, he was pretty evasive.

Wendy Armstrong   July 8th, 2009 10:15 pm ET

I am praying that the Judge honor MJ will, and the media leave the children alone. My heart goes out to the children.

Margaret Woosnam   July 8th, 2009 10:15 pm ET

Though Michael Jackson is a major public figure, he is entitled to SOME privacy. Discussing the removal of parts of his brain and whether he is the biological father of the children can only be extremely upsetting to his family and, I think, to his fans at this time. Please let us remember the Michael we enjoyed and leave the rest alone.

mark from united kingdom   July 8th, 2009 10:15 pm ET

good morning anderson and the team would love 2 say that i have loved all the news u have been doing on michael jackson it is def worth staying up till 3am for u go in 2 so much detail keep up the good work

Sharon Hastings   July 8th, 2009 10:15 pm ET

Good point Janine. I'm suspicious of all these people. Why do they even agree to come on TV? The doctor complained about the need for privacy for the family and the children and yet he comes on national television to blab away.

Gloria, Brooklyn, NY   July 8th, 2009 10:16 pm ET

Good Evening Everyone! What a night, all ready?

Michelle D . Fonthill. Ont   July 8th, 2009 10:16 pm ET

It's so sad that even his famliy couldn't stop him from using drugs .They loved him so much but he couldn't let them in to help .

Tammy, Houma, LA   July 8th, 2009 10:16 pm ET

Medical privacy laws do extend past death. When I was working as a counselor in a inpatient treatment facility and a former patient would die, we were not allowed to discuss the case outside of staffing. It's a violation of federal law. These people are up for lawsuits (and should be).

Megan Dresslar - Shoreline, WA   July 8th, 2009 10:16 pm ET

Helloooo Anderson, Erica, Ed Henry, David Gergen and my friends Twitter/Facebook Bloggers!!!!!
My heart goes to Paris Jackson...... I love Michael Jackson Memorial service, it touch my heart........ Thank you for coverage for Michael Jackson Memorial service, Thank you Anderson....

Jennifer   July 8th, 2009 10:17 pm ET

Michael Jacksons daughter touched my heart yesterday. I think the children say alot about the parent, and it appears that Michael Jackson must of been exaclty what his little girl said, the best father anyone could ever imagine. It still brings tears to my eyes to think about it.

Kelly - Harrisburg, PA   July 8th, 2009 10:17 pm ET

States desperately need the stimulus money. Pennsylvania is facing a $3 billion deficit this year and is in the middle of very painful budget negotiation for next year (already overdue). Without the stimulus, things would be much worse and I'm not sure what the state would do.

Michelle D . Fonthill. Ont   July 8th, 2009 10:17 pm ET

That was heartbreaking of Micheal's daughter Paris breaking down and telling everyone how much she missed and loved her father .I cried along with her .

starr formerly known as vincent   July 8th, 2009 10:17 pm ET

I f i remember correctly, Pres. Obama did say it would take a long time and would cure everything.

It does seem that the stim money is moving at a very slow pace.

Thanks Anderson & David G. good discussion

Tiffany   July 8th, 2009 10:17 pm ET

Good evening. I've heard many people say that Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris, should not have spoke out at her father's funeral. I just wanted to say that it was more than appropriate. She was paying her respects to her late and great father, and expressing herself. She was very brave.

Isabel, Brazil   July 8th, 2009 10:18 pm ET

@Anderson @ David Gergen

The china is in the G8 (as guest). Some members of the G20 are as guests, but has no active voice.

Do you think there will be agreements and progress in this meeting?

Lisa   July 8th, 2009 10:18 pm ET

No matter how one feels about Michael Jackson, his legacy will always be his music, his generosity, his heart and his children.

Imani G.   July 8th, 2009 10:18 pm ET

I agree with Wendy...if some in your family died...would you want all this speculation and accusation made public.

Cindy PA   July 8th, 2009 10:18 pm ET

WOW! Steve McNair situation is really sad. I feel for his wife this man was truly living a double life!

Cindy S., Valparaiso, Indiana   July 8th, 2009 10:18 pm ET

David Gergen is insightful and reassuring. I think he's right about Joe Biden: he says what he thinks even if he shouldn't.

Sumera-Maryland   July 8th, 2009 10:18 pm ET

Hello Anderson,

It is nice to hear that Michael Jackson's family had tried to help him. Any help from his close friends?

vanessa   July 8th, 2009 10:19 pm ET

good night Anderson, In my opinion Michael Jackson three children life should not be upset any more than it already is. I feel they should continue their life as it was with their "daddy" without him. I also thought the children should have had on hats or sunglasses like their Aunts & Uncles because Blanket was uncomfortable on stage. Pain is subjective and one have to experience it in order to understand it.

Kim   July 8th, 2009 10:19 pm ET

I did an experiment and you would not believe how easy it is to get diprivan. I talked to online customer service and they told me it was legal for me to get it. At first they said oh you need a prescription and I said well, I don't have one. They told me to just fill out the online form and they would sent it to me. So if I can get it, of course MJ can get it.

Jasmine   July 8th, 2009 10:19 pm ET

President in Italy....hopefully he can have a warmer welcome there rather than in Moscow.

Sarah Palin? She still has flown over the cuckoo's nest.

Honestly, the world and the US are facing so many serious issues nowadays, I have no idea how those in charge sleep at night. It just shows us that despite the ease of connecting with and learning about other cultures thanks to technology, there is still so much that separates all nations. I truly hope a common ground is discovered for the good of every nation not just certain ones.

Aren't there fines that need to be paid if healthcare folks violate HIPPA either monetarily or criminally?

Michele   July 8th, 2009 10:20 pm ET

I think that if they want donations they should give a Michael Jackson Memorial Boolklet for everyone that sends in a donation. Instead of letting these people sell them on e-bay and make so much money of of them. Not even a hour after the Memorial they were selling them on e-bay for 4 and 5 hundred dollars.

Lori from IL   July 8th, 2009 10:20 pm ET

I haven't really heard much from the Obama administration about a second stimulus bill being needed - seems to be other pundits and commentators floating this idea. Did I miss something?

How does visiting a doctor get to involve the donation of sperm and the involvement of a nurse as a surrogate mother? Isn't this a bit strange?

Dr. Klein got way too involved in the personal affairs of a patient and so did his office. He went way over the line.

Michael Jacson was a wonderful performer, and the memorial service
was beautiful, but the coverage was far more extravagant than most political figures. The amount of money that went into security and taking away officers from their daily duties was excessive. Why can't the Jackson's help foot the bill that the city has to pay. Aren't we cutting
the budget for education and other important issues?

I think Micheal Jackson is resting in peace. He was a beautiful spirit. I'm glad that I was around to witness him grace the world with his presence. He probaly was taking the sleeping medication to get some good rest for his upcoming tour in London. One thing is for sure: There will never be another like MJ. All hail the king.

On Palin:

In all honesty, i get that she has been bombared with criticisms, law suits, etc. But the sign of a real leader is one who can handle more than one thing at a time.

Also, a leader does not abandon their state (who voted her in) and expect to be respected.

Basically, it seems that she wants to get on to business, whatever that will be for her.

MJ conflicts: coroner indicated that Michael was white as paper, bald and emaciated. AEG executives and videos indicate otherwise. How can there be such a difference in stories?

Dillon Ancheta -HI   July 8th, 2009 10:32 pm ET

Michael Joseph Jackson moonwalked his way to the top of the charts, and into our hearts...

Even though he is no longer with us physically, he lives on through his music spiritually, and through the huge impact that he has left on this world...An impact in which no one else could have left...

May he forever rest in peace...

People elect their governors to serve a full term – unless they are appointed to other offices (like our gov was during her second term to be the Secretary of HHS). For Palin to proclaim herself a "lame duck" governor during her first term shows she didn't think she would be re-elected and it shows that she's a quitter.

Hi guys, just caught that Alaskan woman who's challenging Palin....wow "Back at chya" I thought Sarah had her own way of talking. Apparently it's an Alaskan thing. LOL or as we say in Canada eh?

Brent (Austin, TX)   July 8th, 2009 10:33 pm ET

Palin's early exit from office is representative of nearly everything she has done while in office as governor and while campaigning with John McCain for the Presidency in 2008: Ill-conceived and poorly explained. Her complete lack of rationality in the decisions she makes is exemplified in her decision to leave office without a valid reason.

Bob S   July 8th, 2009 10:34 pm ET

Sarah Palin and her reasons for leaving (not quiting) the executive leadership of the State of Alaska, remind me of explanations that my two daughters gave me when they messed up when they were 7-10 years old. They grew up, ............it appears that she hasn't.

Jolene, St. Joseph, MI   July 8th, 2009 10:34 pm ET

I also wondered why Dr. Klein was so "open" about MJ's medical issues. What he said about MJ having Lupus and Vitiligo does coincide with what Dr. Deepak Chopra said.

Makes me wonder why MJ would want to conceive children knowing that they could inherit these autoimmune diseases that created so much pain in his life.

Mike, Syracuse, NY   July 8th, 2009 10:34 pm ET

Why didn't he mention that it was when the surge in Iraq started that the casualties dropped? You know, the surge Obama opposed.

Karen (Lincoln NE)   July 8th, 2009 10:36 pm ET

OK, can someone please address how it is Obama's fault that other countries won't come on board with the climate change? And the watered down bill is expressly the fault of the republicans. They are bleating about the stimulus and still they offer NO solutions. I get very frustrated that John Boehner gets to criticize while his party is in complete disarray and they STILL have no ideas to offer.

Cindy PA   July 8th, 2009 10:36 pm ET

Pray for our troops! War is so ...! God bless them and the U.S. in the words of MJ "We are the world...heal the world...if you want to make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make a change"

Cessy, Chicago   July 8th, 2009 10:36 pm ET

i've seen bits and pieces of the memorial...I particularly liked the part when Brooke Shields spoke. It is, I think one of the honest speech as she really knew who Michael was, unlike the other ones who were in attendance. Some werent even born, some do not have a business of being there.

Jacqueline, NY   July 8th, 2009 10:36 pm ET

AC, I need Africa heat. May I go with you, please? I promise, you won't even know I'm around. I'll stay out of the way and be as quiet as a mouse. LOL!

Lori from IL   July 8th, 2009 10:37 pm ET

Interesting report by Tom Foreman - but could the raising fatalities in Afghanistan be because we took our "eye off the ball" in that country when we entered into war in Iraq - and the lower troop levels allowed the Talliban to regroup, making the country more dangerous? Plus, I think the terrain in Afghanistan makes it a much more dangerous place for combat.

Jo Ann, North Royalton, Ohio   July 8th, 2009 10:37 pm ET

@Judy, I wouldn't trust anything the AEG people say. After hearing Anderson's interview with them, I am convinced that they would have forced Jackson to go on tour no matter how sickly he was to try and squeeze every penny out of the tour.

Just watching those coffins return home took the breath out of me for a second. It's like reliving my friend's death each time another soldier dies. Not sure this was such a great idea for those who've survived no matter how great the political gains from using them to make a point.

Anytime the critic says "always," as in "Sarah Palin always put herself before the state of Alaska," I have to think there may be some bias. That could be overstated, you think?

Sabrina In Las Vegas   July 8th, 2009 10:39 pm ET

TIME magazine had a great cover "unfaithfully ever after"

Cheating spouses and the decline of marriage.

What happened to people staying together for life?

I would like to marry again and be with that person until I die...as the original vow says....not just lip service.

Ayodele Akinola   July 8th, 2009 10:39 pm ET

Sara Palins paradigm is akin to the maxim “quitters don’t win and winners don’t quit”. Alaska and America deserves a winner not Sarah Palin the quitter.

give the farmers of Helmand a chance of making a decent living by planting crops and the Taliban problem will be eliminated automatically. Afghans are not radical blood-thirsty fanatics. All they want is some stability and to be able to feed and clothes their children.

Joyce   July 8th, 2009 10:39 pm ET

I think someone should ask the right question regarding who is the Biological Father of Michaels' children. I believe Dr. Klein is answering the question as though he was not the "Daddy" - not about BIOLOGICAL, since he wasn't an active parent as far as the children are concerned

G' Evening, everyone! Different topics as always. Always a great show.

As for MJ, is there such a thing as R.I.P. nowadays?

I agree. The gall of Kim Jong to show publicly is expected sp. for someone trying to outbest his father and prove himself ruthless & brute. Prayers to Ling and Lee.

Jennifer Novacek   July 8th, 2009 10:43 pm ET

Palin's statement that she is trying to save AK taxpayers the expense of frivolous ethics compaints is looking pretty thin. David Murrow, spokesperson for the governor, claims the money is budgeted to lawyers in advance and had they not been investigating the ethics complaints, the money would be paid to them anyway. The only hitch is that the lawyers would have been doing other government business rather than following up on ethics violations.

Megan Dresslar - Shoreline, WA   July 8th, 2009 10:43 pm ET

My heart goes to Steve McNair's wife and kids, I found out that last weekend it broke the story Steve McNair found dead. That is so scary news to hear. I don't know why she shot him many times and she killed herself.

Tammy, Houma, LA   July 8th, 2009 10:43 pm ET

The murder-suicide of Steve McNair and his girlfriend is so sad. I cannot imagine being his wife trying to wrap herself around her husband's death and an affair. And to explain this to their kids? The betrayal. Jeez.

Lori from IL   July 8th, 2009 10:43 pm ET

@ Starr - who would sell their children – period? I just can't get my head wrapped around selling your child, let alone to be used and killed!

Hi Anderson,
My best friend lost a lot of her hair after she had an operation a few years ago, and the doctors told her that it was due to the anesthesia. She was reminded of this when that source claimed that Michael Jackson had no hair left. So, what we've been wondering is if there might be a connection between the alleged Diprivan use and the reported hair loss?
I'm looking forward to your interview with President Obama next week!

Jasmine   July 8th, 2009 10:43 pm ET

@Starr, that is a very good question....3 day wait period.....

I think they might have changed that in Texas....

and if you're angry enough..the trigger of a gun can look pretty friendly to where anyone can pull it.

I'm glad we are still talking about Michael Jackson. His situation brings up issues that we should be discussing like how we define "family" in America and drug addiction. For those that don't want to talk or hear about Michael Jackson, cable offers many fine programming options for your viewing pleasure. Please change your channel.

Chris Sosa - Boston, MA   July 8th, 2009 10:44 pm ET

I think Anderson was trying to get more to the psychological implications of shooting someone while they are sleeping. Not sure why Prof. Fox didn't seem to be getting it...

Lori from IL   July 8th, 2009 10:45 pm ET

Too bad adults having affairs don't stop to think about what it does to their children - my heart goes out to McNair's children in this tragic situation.

Killed by the other woman...tragic for the family

Heather - Spokane, WA   July 8th, 2009 10:46 pm ET

I feel for McNair's wife and kids. It may have been the possibility that she had no idea of the affair up until she heard he was killed by his misstress.

Bob S - Melbourne   July 8th, 2009 10:46 pm ET

Interesting comments by the professor, but he is someone that professes knowledge, doubt that he ever investigated an actual crime.

I'm 71. I can't imagine at age 20 being able to commit murder and suicide. I was so innocent. I guess times have changed.

To me that was not love, love does not hurt.

Tammy, Houma, LA   July 8th, 2009 10:47 pm ET

Was this McNair murder-suicide a twisted Shakespearean play? Sounds like it. Unfortunately it wasn't on stage but reality.

Jacqueline, NY   July 8th, 2009 10:47 pm ET

I'm sorry, but something doesn't sound right about the explanation for the murder suicide. I'm guessing there is something deeper... On second thought, perhaps not. Did you hear about the teenager here in NY who killed teenage boyfriend over another girl? Teenagers! Too sad. There is too little value placed on life.

Tiffany   July 8th, 2009 10:47 pm ET

I wish Michael Jackson's family could mourn in PEACE. it breaks my heart to see Paris Jackson speak.

Chris Sosa - Boston, MA   July 8th, 2009 10:48 pm ET

The US should be doing much more than we are to get these ladies back. It makes us look very weak to just let them stay there with no efforts at all being made to secure their freedom.

Lisa A. - Philadelphia, PA   July 8th, 2009 10:48 pm ET

@Lori – I feel you. I don't have children, but the thought of anyone trying to take my child from me enrages me, let alone selling him. It seems so tragic to see this story with these children being sold into their tragic deaths up against the Jackson children and their grief. At least the Jackson children have a hope for a bright future, with the right love, compassion and guidance. What do these children being used by the Taliban have?

Jacqueline, NY   July 8th, 2009 10:49 pm ET

the memorial yesterday was so sad yesterday. It bought my family and me to tears.

Nattada, Houston TX   July 8th, 2009 10:49 pm ET

Why is it so hard for some man to be faithful to his wife and kids? The kids in this situation are the ones who take most effect of what happened. Poor kids.

Alex (Aliso Viejo, Ca)   July 8th, 2009 10:49 pm ET

Fatal attraction!! Absolutely scary. Fine line between love and hate exists indeed. I don't believe that purely loving someone can result to killing or hurting them. I think there are more extenuating and aggravating circumstances that lead to it apart from psychological reasons. The mere fact she was planning to move with him (not being a "stalker") and him being shot on her bed tells more. Besides, wasn't she arrested for a DUI a couple of days beforehand?? Rocky relationships including sex always is way off and unstabling for the more emotionally involved. Just, IMHO. :)

Beth from Petaluma   July 8th, 2009 10:49 pm ET

Did I miss something – actually I haven't watched the show yet, but I'm really confused here – was it ever reported or said that Dr. Klein's sperm was used in the pregnancy of Debbie Rowe? I feel so sorry for Michael's kids – if we thought Michael had an identity problem, I can only imagine how his kids will feel. Hopefully the family and friends are going to surround them with love and support and not make a circus out of their lives.

Minou, New York City   July 8th, 2009 10:49 pm ET

Starr, as outrageous as it sounds, there are parents, yes parents, who would sell one of their children for money to support the rest of the family. That's one main way to support the "commodity" in the human trafficking business.

Charles M. D. Jacksonville   July 8th, 2009 10:51 pm ET

Thanks Anderson, and Erica...for the excellent manner in which you
along with Larry King and the CNN news team covered the MJ Memorial with the respect it deserved. The Paris Jackson brief but
beautiful little eulogy was tear jerking.....it did remind us that he was simply a "Daddy" too. The music industry will not be the same in many
ways as I am sure Lisa Marie Presley can relate to...and also with Paris on the segment you are showing on air right now. I hope the
news coming in the days ahead will be less tragic and something more can be offered to other "icons" who are suffering the same condition or addiction. Doesn't the industry have support groups and
outreach arms such as the Grammys' Music Cares, etc.?

Chris Sosa - Boston, MA   July 8th, 2009 10:51 pm ET

As Erica said, Janet really seems to be the rock right now. I've always gotten the idea she was one of the most grounded members of the family, and her kind yet assuring way with Jackson's kids seemed to prove it.

Jolene, St. Joseph, MI   July 8th, 2009 10:51 pm ET

Hi Anderson: I want to comment on Sarah Palins resignation as
gov. well over 1 year before her first term as Gov. of Alaska is completed!

First and foremost – I want to say safe and fruitful trip to Africa with
President Obama!!!

It is my greatest hope that it is not Sarah Palin's intention to be here,
there, and everywhere – in the lower 48 – in an attempt to further her
possible personal goal of influencing current Republican policies;
even to the extent of successfully running for office in 2010 or 2012!
(Doesn't seem possible, but with Sarah Palin, anything seems to be
possible!!!)

A more practical and viable course would be to accept a position as
a journalist for Fox News, accept Speaking Invitations coming her
way, and otherwise make money to cover her legal expenses and
probably become a wealthy woman. (At least, in that case, those of
us who utterly disagree with her policies can go our own way without
seeing her constantly on tv and our computers as we can change
channels and otherwise GO OUR OWN WAY!)

Isabel, Brazil   July 8th, 2009 10:54 pm ET

All those out there who keep throwing negative comments against Michael Jackson are either jealous, just really angry at people or simply bored with life. Regardless of him being an entertainer, he was a great humanitarian. If you do not get the message in his songs, e.g. the Earth song, Man in the Mirror, Heal the World, and be inspired to do something good for someone else, be it a family member, a neighbor, or another country, then there is seriously something missing deep inside you!

It's crazy to see how many people are willing to sell their Michael Jackson memorabilia. You would think people would want to keep pictures, albums, autographs, etc. to remember the great man he is. People are so concerned about making a quick buck. Such a shame.
