It still seems a bit chilly from the Cold War that lasted so long. Russia would be a good ally to have given the trouble in Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. as Russia might grant us transportation rights for shipping supplies, etc. One of the chief ways to be a good ally to Russia is to weigh the impact to Russia of anything we are going to do in their neck of the woods and be sure they are informed of it before and not after and that they have some say in anything that might cause trouble along their borders. The members of the recieving line did how ever make sure they grasped the hand of their PM. Is this a diss or what?
