I think Alaska citizens forced her to resign because she wanted to be a celebrity more than a governor of their state. I also smell a rat something happened and shes not telling the truth. Why would she quit in mid term ?

A day is along time in politics and voter memories are short. She will earn money hone her interview skills, then declare her candidacy for the presidential GOP race in about 12months. Both the GOP and her team will learn lessons about internet power, and her about staying on message.
Hilary nearly got what she was after from the Senate and in the GOP system she would have a good chance if not better than Hilary.
Apart from Pawlenty few others are credible in GOP for 2012 at present, and they are going to have to put someone up by mid 2010!

Why to waste 18 months in an office that doesn't provide any more mileage in National Politics? It makes sense, to learn from Obama. Move on to next level. She is a politician. Alaska / McCain are ladders.

Anderson, I believe Sarah is trying to prepare herself for 2012. I think she is taking this time out to get a better education of World Politics and World views. Because she truly appeared to be dumber than a rock when faced with questions that a four year college graduate should have been able to answer. She has the gift of gab which usually means blab, blab, blab when she doesn't really have an idea what the answer should be to the questions that had been given to her.

The question to ponder is, "What is it about this particular woman that compels folks into hoisting her up as a social and political pinata ?"....
She is different....she is homespun, corny, loving, pro-life, attractive, a tough cookie and can dress a moose....
The fact that the meer mention of her name causes some women to roll their eyes in disgust is facinating. She is different not a threat to society or country...and I believe that she represented some threat to certain groups that felt justified in eviscerating her....

The media acts like they "don't get it" about Palin stepping down. The
rest of the "real people" get it. She will probably blow everyone else's socks off, because she is really mad at the Dems and Obama (like the "real people". I would not vote for her, but as a woman-I get it. Rock on Sarah. The men don't have b_ _ _ ls enough to get out there and stur it up. Woman understand about getting things done, with husband and children in hand and bring home the bacon too. We have always been able to see what the problem is, and will have the answer to it before the dishes are done....You all just sit there and act

palin sounds like a middle age cheerleader. Everything out off her mouth sounds like it should go along with some choreography and mini-skirts. Lets give her some pom poms and she wont be out of place. She should have just said to the world that she was behind a scandal so nobody would believe her. I used to be behind her, but now i wouldn't let her be in charge of anything except the car pool.

Mr. King & Mr. Rollins,

Here is the thing that doesn't add up with Palin. She claims to love America more than any Anti-American Liberal! Yet her husband belonged to the Alaskan Independence Party, a group that wants to secede from the United States! She even spoke at their 2007 convention!

Doesn't mesh with her "patriotic" words! I would not vote for Palin IF she were the only candidate on the ballot! There is something odd, something not real, nor genuine about her.

IF Palin were a Democrat, the GOP's family values crowd would have crucified her for abandoning her newborn son and her pregnant daughter for her political ambitions!

She needs to use a speech writer not mater the topic no mater what!
It took all my will power and patience to watch the video. She meandered all around the topics, and occasionally drifted by Her point, I think. I understand that she is quiting this month and that the lieutenant Gov. steps up. BUT? WHY IS SHE QUITING? She was rambling on like Catie Curic was standing there with a microphone.
Honestly it was to painful to watch and concentrate on her form of political gibberish.
DNF did not finish. That will look real good on her short resume'
