July 2nd, 2009 11:51 am ET Please, Please, Please....Stop with the Michael Jackson stories. There are much more important things happening than the life and times of an eccentric millionaire gone bad! A man should be judged by what he became, not what he COULD have been. He was a great talent at his peak, and from that point on only made news for his off base antics, and the complete waste, and clown he had become. He no longer looked or acted remotely human! He is in NO WAY deserving of all of this attention anymore. A multimillionaire that died in overwhelming debt...by his own doing, and lavish spending, and NOT what the banks have done to the rest of us! I'm 6 years older than he was, and grew up 60 miles from where he started, and made it big. I watched him evolve to the top of his world, and then go backwards. I WAS a big fan! Now I say ENOUGH, let him float away into obscurity like any other circus clown would, and let the leeches that he surrounded himself with, get rich from the people who insist on keeping him alive forever!!!! |

July 2nd, 2009 12:09 pm ET I can't believe that a doctor of anykind would be so immoral as to jerpordize a human being by giving them a lethal drug such as diprivan. We use it under completely controlled monitoring situations in an ICU with patients that are on ventilators, heart monitors and complete ICU environment. It is not a drug you can just administer It has strict guidlines with weight controlled administration. The doctor that did this if it is true should be tried for murder. |

July 2nd, 2009 12:12 pm ET ENOUGH! Who really cares? In the big scheme of things, with the economy in the toilet and with real issues so overwhelming in their import, why are we possessed with Michael Jackson? He wasn't Einstein or Hawkinge.... Move on America... We have real problems to solve. |

July 2nd, 2009 12:31 pm ET Please!! It's enough already!! There's a soldier missing in Afghanistan, Iran is still a boiling mess, the jobs report is less than stellar, the S.C. governor is imploding before our very eyes, and the lead story on the blog is a self-absorbed ego maniac with a family to match. Perhaps no one at CNN understands that people watch CNN, an all news network, because they want NEWS, not Hollywood gossip that changes by the minute. Those of us who watch CNN are news junkies. If we wanted fluff and fantasy we'd be watching FOX or The Insider. I'm feeling a little betrayed. I really expected more from you folks, especially you Anderson. You're a hard news guy. Bullets have whizzed over your head and you barely flinched. What's with all this garbage. This goes into the same category of Anna Nicole or "she who will not be named." It's junk news for the brain dead. Make it stop!!! Make it stop!!! And by the way if Jackson's lawyer wants news to report only the good stuff about Michael he should try Entertainment Tonight. I was totally insulted by him. |

July 2nd, 2009 12:34 pm ET I think that the family should consider a public viewing for Michael's fans, but not only in Los Angeles. I think that Michael should go to the Apollo in New York and his hometown of Gary, Indiana one more time. Then return to Los Angeles for a final public viewing and private family service. I also think that he should be buried at his beloved Neverland and the family should fight to make that happen, if not immediatel, but in the future. Michael is going to be bigger than Elvis! |

July 2nd, 2009 1:39 pm ET I've been watching this podcast every day for a very long time and I'm honesty at the point now where I'm genuinely disappointed by how much AC360 has been covering the MJ story. You hold politicians to higher standards. You keep the people in power accountable, you keep them honest. Well you have great power, and with that comes a duty to live up to your purpose. There is so much going on right now in the world, you cannot spend an entire week on almost nothing but Jackson. There are too many important things going on in the world: Iran You pride yourself in sticking to the facts. Since Jackon's death there have been almost no new facts at all. It's all been speculation. To me, you are seriously starting to lose credibility, as well as the high ground. Please, enough with Michael Jackson... |

July 2nd, 2009 2:06 pm ET Anderson, I really appreciate the accuracy of your networks story approach with all of the worlds major issues. But this one incicdent just disturbs me, The CNN morning broadcast with the young lady commintating I dont recall her name" , had another young lady explaining the approach to cpr and life recessitation in the event of cardiac arrest by way of song and beats. In the wake of the late Michael Jackson's untimely death I feel that it is shows bad taste to use the terminology in the songs ( given that they were both hit songs, even as harmless as it may seem) "Staying alive and Another one bites the dust" almost made be lose my breakfast given the nature of our tragic moment. Sure! the intentions to introduce a life saving approach in the event of an emergency to everyone watching is a great thing to do, but also extremely crucial on how its introduced and percieved.Do you agree? |
