Considering Joe's abusive tendancies, this is a very bad idea.

jakeria A   June 30th, 2009 11:55 am ET

she should keep those children under her hands because they want to stay and they have fun over there with grandama so the grandma should keep them

concern/denver Colorado   June 30th, 2009 12:10 pm ET

Anderson the only reason why Michael's albums Bad and Dangerous were not as large as was all the bad publicity and the lack of understanding of videos ...

Pat   June 30th, 2009 12:51 pm ET

Grandma's would be a far better (and safer) place for the kids. It is sad to think that these children could be made to suffer from the actions of adults, who are most likely only interested in their own shallow lives. Grandma (and family) should be able to keep the wolves at bay, (Lord, we hope so and pray it will be done).

Michael has had countless "adults" try to take advantage of him and his innocence. What a shame that the same low class people may try to take advantage of his children.

Our prayers go out the family and friends.

Queeneen   June 30th, 2009 12:52 pm ET

Surprise Joe and Katherine are no longer together that was kept quiet I bet he got baby mama's in Vegas.

Carla   June 30th, 2009 12:54 pm ET

Stop saying "Grandparents," Mrs. Jackson maintains a separate home from Joe Jackson and has for some time. Also, Debbie Rowe is NOT the biological parent, she was nothing but a womb in which to harvest the eggs! It surprises me how you people call this "fact" not speculation. You're a day late with this news, and you STILL can't report the facts! Please get the story straight before reporting it, you're starting to look like TMZ in your efforts to get the scoop before anyone else.

Diane   June 30th, 2009 12:57 pm ET

She couldn't control "Joseph" when she was young and strong... How can she possibly now at almost 80.

Indy Smith   June 30th, 2009 1:09 pm ET

I worry about those children, and expoursure to Joe Jacksons temper and deciplinary actions, which he used against his own children. He should be require to undergo questioning about these methods, and anger management, if he's to be around Michaels children.
In one of his interviews Michael spoke of the beatings and the fear ,all of the children had of Joe Jackson. He stated that is why he never touched his children. he didn't want to see that fear in them.
Michael must be turning over in his grave.

liz   June 30th, 2009 1:10 pm ET

i think its weird that he didnt have his will made out. there's no foresight there. wasnt he sick or something? it makes little sense to me. i hope those kids stay safe.

erica   June 30th, 2009 1:14 pm ET

I don't think Joe lives with Katherine. Did u see him on the BET awards plugging his record label? He is wretched.

Francine   June 30th, 2009 1:29 pm ET

NO WONDER Rowe has been so silent. They're not even her kids! Or his kids. She's already been paid off.
Thank God for Grandma. However, someone needs to do something about Joe, he's sooo obvious and embarrassing.

Alicea Kelso, WA   June 30th, 2009 1:30 pm ET

I thought so, too Melissa, but Joe lives in Vegas, seperately from the Grandmother, who lives in California.

Vickey   June 30th, 2009 1:34 pm ET

I would like to see everyone get along Jackson family and Debbie Rowe. The kids need to feel they are loved and WANTED. I think Michael would like that.

Elice   June 30th, 2009 1:35 pm ET

Great! I pray that she will get permanent custody. She is a smart lady. She was smart enough to leave Joe and she is smart enough to care for the children of her beloved son. A lot of people are not aware of the fact that Katherine was extremely close with Michael. He adored his mother. I am thankful to God that she has his children. No one can love you and care for you like your Grandmother.

Jeanne   June 30th, 2009 1:36 pm ET

Of all the options, their grandmother is the best choice. Had Debbie Rowe cared about them, she would have never signed over her rights. She was then bought off easily enough when she took him to court last time.

Mari   June 30th, 2009 2:58 pm ET

With all due respect, why does the media frenzy continue?! Its insane!

DawnMD   June 30th, 2009 3:20 pm ET

Who's moonwalking now!
I think it's best place for kids and hope Nanny will stay with them as well.

DawnMD   June 30th, 2009 3:29 pm ET

Some reports I read, stated that Michael, in his 2002 will, designated his mom, Katherine to have custody of his kids and also his estate.

It seems the only sibling he was close with was his sister, Janet, and he felt she was okay financially.

I hope the nanny stays with the children too.

Lampe   June 30th, 2009 4:34 pm ET

Carla: I've got news for you. If you carry a child for 9 months and give birth to that child you are that childs mother period. Now, jackson might not be their real father, but Debbie is two of those childrens mother.

JW   June 30th, 2009 5:45 pm ET

I think this is ideal, for now. As long as Joe Jackson is kept at bay.

Debbie Rowe is not the biological parent, and MJ never adopted the children.

Debbie left the picture years ago.

She was merely a surrogate. I presume the marriage was for insurance reasons, and other legal matters- which is why she divorced and walked away from the both MJ and the children with total and complete impartiality.

And why MJ never conceived the idea that Debbie would ever bother with filing a challenge of custody.

Annie Kate   June 30th, 2009 7:19 pm ET

Since Katherine is no longer with Joe and there is a 2002 will of Michael's designating her as guardian of the children I don't think there will be any trouble for the children staying with their grandmother. If they didn't have a good relationship with their grandmother Michael would not have designated her as guardian.
