It is unfortunate AC, but this whole thing reminds me of Anna Nicole Smith's death and the circus that followed.

It is only sad that in the midst of so many beautiful tributes, there is so much exposure of the personal life of the artist

I must say I find it somewhat disturbing to see Revs. Jackson & Sharpton hovering over all the media like vultures.

Has suicide, assisted or not, been ruled out?

It's still so unbelievable to watch his videos and his concerts and see the amazing power permeating and know that this person is gone. A great creative genius and like all the other few such people, he passed before his time. We can still listen to Michael's songs though.

The Dr. knows that there isn't anyone to collabrate the fact that Micheal was not feeling well on Wednesday night. Who else did he tell he was not feeling well.

Good evening Anderson, 360 team, all bloggers. I really wish Michael Jackson had been able to do his comeback performances in London. If he had to die, I wish he had been able to do those first. All of this doctor stuff doesn't make sense to me. I just can't buy that 911 couldn't have been called sooner. He sleeps over? What's that about? I like my doctor but he doesn't sleep over.

Isabel, this is so true. Unfortunately, now that he is gone, it will be hard for his personal life and for his kids to be protected.

Hello Everyone, Has there been a report of any similar previous medical/heart incident has occurred in Michael Jackson? (the doctor would probably know) His medical history would be interesting.

I would just like to say i always and always will LOVE Micheal Jackson he was amazing singer...dancer..and AWESOME roll model for kids dispite what happened in earlier years that he was found NOT GUITY FOR!!!! He will be sadley missed by all his family and fans....R.I.P MICHEAL JACKSON!!!!

I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to Mrs. Katherine Jackson and the family of Michael Jackson. I am appauled at Joe Jackson's attempts to plug in his new record company during a time such as this. Does this man stop at nothing? Is it not enough that he mentally, verbally and emotionally abused Michael all his life? Can Michael please have the rest and peace that he so very much deserved in life yet never received? It is shameful that his own father shows no remorse. Beating someone can be done with more than a switch or belt. Joe Jackson did not need a stick. His vile mouth and actions to Michael was the stick. Let's remember Michael and all of his achievements in this life. May God grant him rest and peace.

If the private doctor was innocent of not giving Michael any meds or was not in the room with him when he died then why did he run? Why didnt he stay and talk to the paramedics or go to the hospital with him and talk with the doctors? An innocent person would have done all of that and maybe more.

If 2 bags of drugs were taken from the MJ's home, it makes you wonder if some of the toxicology results have returned and they went back to see if they could retrieve any of the drugs that were in his blood.

It does not matter if he did or not, if the cardiologist was not privy to the other medications Michael was taking, any medications the Doctor provided in conjuction with Michael's private medications would be a terrible mixture.

Didn't Dr. Murray's attorney just say that Dr. Murray and Michael were close friends on Larry King? Yet the news summary immediately following (beginning AC360) described that there's was a chance encounter.

What's the truth here? Doesn't smell good from here.

Hi yall, It's weird that Michael's doctor wouldn't know what prescription medication he was on. What doctor doesn't know that about their patient. I think there should be a national prescription drug registry of some sort, even in emergencies if you can't talk someone can look up your info.

Why do toxicology tests take so long. You can do a drug test on urine in a few days.

Can't believe that it took 30 minutes before a 911 call - that's absurd. If he had a cell phone - how long does it take to "dial" 911? The details that are coming out seem to make me have more and more questions about his dr.

I think Michael Jackson picked Dr. Murray on purpose. I think Michael felt he could trust Dr. Murray AND that he could manipulate him at the same time.

I also heard that Dr. Murray did NOT stay at the residence, but he at times had slept over.

Question is: Why did Michael hire a CARDIOLOGIST specifically?

i really feel as though this doctor is not legit....

But didnt Michael already know about his heart conditions? If so why did he decided to go ahead and perform a comeback concert?

The big question did the Doctor have past and present writtern medical records on Michael Jackson. This would note what he had on record for Michaels medical history, current medications and records on last exams etc.

It's so hard to hear any comments on how the children learned about their father's passing and on their reactions.

It remains to be seen what exactly transpired as far as Dr. Murray's actions and whether or not they had any role in Michael's death, but the circumstances are certainly suspect – Michael looks relatively healthy on the new photos.

If Dr. Murry wasn't prescribing meds, what was he doing for 150,000.00 a month?

"No land line phone": How does a doctor hired by MJ not have a phone on hand for emergencies and why didn't he know the address of the patient he is hired to monitor? It took 30 minutes to call for help? Surely he owns a cell phone to dial 911. Makes no sense to me.

There is a strong opinion that lately Michael had been surrounded by a bunch of "enablers" who was taking advantage of his helpless condition, who pressured him to do things he didn't want to do (such as doing 50 concerts instead of the 10 he originally agreed to) and probably druged him to keep him under their control.

If this is really so, what can be done to bring those people to justice and can they be charged with his murder?

What is wrong with the Jackson family? They go to the BET awards and promote the fathers music and then again today..PLEASE this family is after the fame not the fact that their son is dead and there are 3 kids left without a father.

The Anna Nicole Smith saga will be nothing compared to the Jackson circus that's to come. Funny how every news show has self professed friends of MJ coming out of the woodwork. If he had so many friends why was he so lonely?

The reason the doctor's attorney paused and stumbled when answering whether the doctor would consider Michael Jackon healthy is beccause it is so clear that he was not healthy. You don't have to be a doctor to know that. As for Joe Jackson, he is a terrible, terrible person. I hope Katherine finally leaves him so she can raise those three innocent children in peace.

Juat wanted to share this about the Madoff fiasco;

Madoff is probably the least guilty person in this crime. The guilty (greedy) suspects are the investors that invested millions with promises of returns that ran upwards of %50. We all know that market returns of %50 or more is totally (in the words of Mike Tyson) ludicrous. So many investor lost millions each. Yes I am sorry for the few that just "didn't know any better," but I have no remorse for the intelligent millionaires who sought to profit off of what they knew was a scam. Madoff killed no one, yet he received a much longer sentence than some murderers do. This country that I love dearly can sometimes be insane. In the end no matter what happens to Madoff or Stanford the losers the "lost" (more like gambled) their money away. Will still turn out to be losers and never see a penny. That is what happens to greedy folks. As the old saying goes "if it's seems too good to be true, then it probably is."

I missed out on all MJ coverage last wk. just wanted to say when i did volunteer work for Make a Wish foundation, MJ was well known for NEVER turning down a wish for a dying child. He was the go-to person to make a dying child's wish come true. and he spared no expense. what a wonderful legacy to leave. that, in addition to his iconic talent, is what i will remember.

What kind of hack what this doctor working on Michael Jackson giving him CPR on a bed? I have never taken a CPR class but I know you have to be on a Flat surface. The 911 operator was a moron too. Why was there no telephone in the bedroom ? Did the doctor have a cell phone? Something is definitely wrong with this case? I see holes everywhere...

I think on Larry King it was mentioned that the toxicology tests take long because results have to go through several people and also information from various sources (including pharmacology companies) is collected before the final results are revealed.

I always wanted to see MJ coming back and rocking the world for one last time.

I would like to have the Dr. explain how in this modern world of phones and knowing that 911 operators can trace where a call is coming from, that it takes 30 minutes for a call to be made?

AC – an unquestioned tragedy. His tour would undoubtedly have returned him to the top of the charts, it is unfortunate that he has now done so in death. RIP MJ. Rest in peace. The world will miss you.

My question is, what made the doctor go up to Michael Jackson's room to check on him to begin with? Was he just doing a routine check?

The story that Dr. Conner is sharing about not being near a phone does not make sense, especially for a licensed physician of any kind. Most people know that within the first five minutes of someone's breathing stopped, resucitation must be performed to prevent oxygen from going to the brain and causing severe brain damage. We shall see how this pans out but it smells fishy.

Dr. Congrad Murry should lose his medical license. His attorney's story that Michael was in great condition is such bull. The truth is, Conrad Murry prescribed multiple narcotics to MJ.

It's just too bad that Michael didn't have any true friends around to help save him.

I confess that I am curious to know what happened, but at the same time I think this invasion is totally disrespectful of privacy about intimate details of the life of Michael Jackson

I'm sadden by Michael Jackson's passing, but I am conflicted by the way Joe Jackson is behaving. HIs demeanot at the BET awards yesterday gave me the impression that he was liking the spotlight a little too much on just 3 days after his son's death. I feel disturbed by the way he talks to reporters with a half smile on his face.

Why is Joe Jackson speaking for the family, after all Michael has stated through the years, he (Joe) abused him?

Some things are so predictable...unfortunately... a tragic ending to an often tragic life.

If the physician who was with Michael Jackson at the end is indeed a cardiologist and he does not know that you cannot effectively do CPR on a soft surface, that is extra frightening. His specialty "is" the heart. Even more bizarre, is Joe Jackson.

I get this sick feeling that the people surrounding him are still just trying to get their 15 min of fame and make money off him. It's just so incredibly sad.

Good evening everyone. After a weekend of retrospect to Michael Jackson, I can’t help but feel a lot of sadness for him. Michael was a man who had to become an adult as a child, and missed out on most things that children get to experience. But as an adult, he wanted to live the childhood that he missed out on. Over the weekend, I listened to the song, Childhood, from his CD set, History. It brought tears to my eyes because it took on a different meaning after his death.

And I thought Joe Jackson's appearance at the BET awards was just odd.

Maybe we shouldn't keep speculating until the final reports come out. How do all these speculations and rumors help anything? Sympathy to the Jackson family at this time.

M J weighed 112 lbs. when he died. No one, like Miko Brando or Lou Ferrigno, is telling the truth.

Who were the people that removed belongings or furniture from Michael Jacksons home a few days ago? What would the emergency be to remove stuff? And why would the police let anything be removed until this was solved??

"Why didn't the Dr. get on the phone with 911 in Michael's room while he still had a pulse and just tell them to send an ambulance. I think 911 has the ability to determine where the call is coming from. That could have brought Jackson's ambulance to him 30 minutes earlier.

No doctor would prescribe medication without checking what other meds the patient was on.

As a medical professional, I have to renew my CPR every two years. I would like to know how a cardiologist can perform efficient chest compressions when a pt. is lying on the bed as opposed to lying on a frim surface.
It was the 911 operator that told the caller on the phone to move the body on to the floor.
How has this gone unnoticed by the medical community?

That doctor killed Michael!!!! That's nothing that can be done to bring him back, but OMG if the horrible doctor had called 911 Michael would still be here!

Michael Jackson was a irreplaceable soul and will be an unbeatable talent forever. He will live on forever in the hearts and actions of his children and fans and he would be more than touched and moved by the outpouring of love from a nation and world who loved him and felt the love back. We can only hope that justice and the true will of Michael for his children will be upheld.

I have been wondering WHY the person who called 911 did not identify the the person in distress as Michael Jackson when he called them.

A cardiologist who performs one-handed CPR while bracing the patient's back with the other hand? One may be hard pressed to find a medical professional who considers that quality adult CPR.

I have read reports where Michael collasped in front of the children and they thought he was playing; then you hear where they said the doctor found him lying int he bed. Well what really happened? I think the good doctor should be accountable. As for Joe Jackson, he act like he was on "something" and he surely didn't act like a grieving father. And I understand that he had undergone an insurance physical, were these drugs not detected in this physical?

Anderson, I must say Joe Jackson is bazaar over all! Do you think MJ's kids should live under the same roof as Joe Jackson????

If a doctor is geting paid $150,000 a month by a pain killer addict, I find it hard to believe he was not prescribing the drugs the addict wanted.

@Isabel, you are right, the tributes are beautiful, a contrast to the press inquiries that are needed but at this point way ahead of the actual investigation. At this point, the speculation may be seeming to expose Michael Jackson's personal life, but in fact only be only that speculation.

The story doesn't sit right. There are too many conflicting reports and the lawyer for the doctor seems to be conflicted, perhaps holding back information?

As a physician, I have to point out that a hard surface is neccessary to perform chest compressions as part of CPR. However if a patient has a pulse, (though weak), he needs rescue breaths if he is not breathing, as well as medications to increase his blood pressure and support his heart. He did not neccesarily need to be moved at that time.

@Jill, And you know they are going to fight for those kids because where the kids go so goes the money.

Is it really necessary for Joe Jackson to be plugging his record company at a time like this? It just goes to show how much respect he still doesn't have for his son. My thoughts are with Katherine, the children and the rest of the Jackson family.

Why was this adult cardiologist treating one of Michael Jackson's kids? Adult cardiologists do not receive any formal training in pediatrics once they are out of medical school. Also, there's roughly an 85% pass rate for first time test takers when attempting to get board certified in cardiology....why would anyone want to pay this guy $150k a month when he didn't even pass a basic certification exam?

If Michael Jackson knew this doctor since 2007 and was visiting Las Vegas and the child got sick, in what capacity was this child sick being his expertise is in Cardiology?

So now the doctor is saying MJ was still alive in the ambulance? When exactly did he die then....in the ambulance? ER? This story is just getting more and more bizarre. "Not board-certified"....indeed.

According to multiple people in his surroundings, Michael was very thin and barely ate anything. Why didn't his doctor/FRIEND insist that Michael would be hospitalized considering his frail condition? Also, his doctor's attorney said that he was giving Michael the medication. Aren't you supposed to take some medicine WITH FOOD???? This is very-very strange....

The attorney for the doctor stated on CNN that the doctor help with the press release that Jermaine Jackson gave to the public. Well, in that statement Jermaine stated the Michael received an injection and passed-out a hour later. Where did Jermaine get that info., if not from the doctor? In fact, it was the doctor that spent the night at Michael Jackson's home, not Jermaine.

Any CPR instructor will tell you that CPR is first aid for dead people. Resuscitation means 'bring back to life' – the victim is therefore dead prior to starting the procedure. So, the doctor's assertion that
Michael had a pulse makes absolutely no sense. Also, AHA guidelines state to call 9-1-1 first – to get help (paramedics and a defibrillator) on the way fast. Doing CPR for 30 minutes first makes no sense at all.

I think people focus on the negitve things about Micheal Jackson. When we should be celebrating his death and music. He payed the way for lil wayne t.i. ect. love ya Michael Jackson

I find it difficult to believe that this cardiologist didn't know that Jackson was taking Demerol/oxycontent when 2 bags full of drugs from the house today. As a friend and a physician, staying in the house, there was adequate chance for this "cardiologist" to have checked to see exactly what medications were already in Jackson's possession. It was his legal duty to have checked into that.

The doctor in my opinion is negligent. Use your cell phone! Can't they find you by pings or triangulation these days? Use your cell in the first 5 or 10 mins to report the emergency. Give 911 your general location and get back to them on the specific address. Any smart person knows time is the critical factor in cardiac arrests. but, alas this so called cardiac doctor was not smart and, like I said, probably negligent. RIP Michael...

All the rumors are ridicoulous. I think people should stick to the facts. Any procedes or any money Micheal Jackson has should go to his children and nothing else. No matter who takes custody of his children, they all should stay together and have the nanny with them that took care of them all their lives.

Joe Jackson is probably grieveing because no more massive income from MJ, now he'll have to depend on poor Janet! Shame on him!!

Isn't it funny that the courts granted Mrs. Jackson not Joe Jackson temporary guardianship to Michael's kids? At least the courts are taking caution with Joe Jackson because of what he did/may have done to Michael as a child.

I have a question regarding the family. Are they looking for answers in a 2nd autopsy or someone to blame?

You know I have heard people discuss Michael Jackson's life as tragic and I sometimes thought it was a bit of a strong word to use. But his life was indeed distressing and sad when taking the literal meaning of the word, and the world has lost a beloved son. It is strange sometimes to hear American commentators question if the world now knows how big Michael Jackson was. The fact is the rest of the world was quite aware of this fact. Michael Jackson was revered and respected more than his countrymen would ever now. He was larger than life. We love you Michael and you will be truly missed. Rest in peace – at last.

A father loses a son, goes to an awards show and promotes his new record company. I don't get it. Shameless self promotion. Michael must be turning in his grave

not sure why the record company promo was made...maybe it was a cover up for his emotons, or maybe even to switch the spotlight. Micheal had a rough life went through lots of changes and the media attacked him. Sad to see him go but better now he will be left alone.

Michael Jackson was a brilliant performer and an extremely talented musician. He was also a very tortured man. His death made me sad. But come on people, he wasn't the king of the world. There are other stories that warrant attention. Please are still out of jobs in this country and millions of children/people are without health insurance. At this point in the Michael Jackson story I think the media blitz is fueling the Jackson family's need for attention, drama, financial gain and ... oh, did I mention drama? It all exhausts me.

I read the Dr. statement that he found Michael and he was not breathing, but had a pulse and then he Immediately started CPR. As far as I know you don't do CPR if there is a pulse, only needed rescue breathing that actually could be done on a bed.

I watched some of the BET Awards last night and the comments that Joseph Jackson made were a little off beat.. Does anyone agree with me on that one? My first reaction was that he was too composed for a father that "loved" his son. I am not doubting "love" in his family but with everything Michael has said over the years about his father it just didn't seem that he was broken up. I know everyone grieves differently but as a parent I think I would have been a little more upset that he has shown. Also, how could he "promote" his record company? I found that to be really disrespectful. What was that? I did not think that this was the time or place for such a promotion. I am glad to hear that Catherine has gained temporary guardianship of Michael's children. I don't think that Ms. Rowe has any rights to these children now especially since they have had no dealings with her or are not known to her. It's like upsetting their world all over again. Leave them with the family that knows them and loves them.

The stories coming from the Dr's lawyer (s) don't make sense. First we heard that Murray was living with Jackson, now, it seems he was asked to stay Wed night because Jackson didn't feel well. Is this supposed to be the explanation for why Murray didn't call 911 from his cell phone, because he didn't know the address. It doesn't explain the 30 minute gap to the call to 911. The CPR on a bed story: the lawyer(s) keep spinning this, one explanation has it that the bed's mattress was "firm". Another statement was that Murray had his hand behind Michael's back – which would make CPR virtually impossible wouldn't it: one-handed? It's pretty clear the doc panicked and went directly into CYA mode.

I have taken CPR before and they emphasize check, call, care. Check the scene, call 911 and then care. You continue to perform CPR until the paramedics arrive. I thought I heard something about him starting and stopping and then asking a cook or maid or something to call security. Why didn't he yell for the cook to call 911 first. Also, since he was a cardiologist, why didn't he have a difibulator. I would think if a cardiologist was his primary physician then that would be something they were concerned about and a difibulator would be a neccessity. I may be naive.

I love Michael Jackson. I grew up with Michael and his music and saw the influence that he had not only on music but on fashion and dance. He tried to bring all people together and I think he lived on. I hope that he truly rests in peace.

Wouldn't a cardiologist have atropine in his medical bag when it sounds like he clearly had other medications with him? That medication is a first line drug in a code situation. Clearly something that a cardiologist would carry with him if he was going to have medications with him.

Is it possible that Michael Jackson was anorectic? Men are not usually affected by this, but he was very image-conscious and we know he had body dysmorphic syndrome with all the plastic surgery. His death reminds me of Karen Carpenter dying from heart failure. The reports on TV said he was wasting away, so perhaps his heart muscle was lacking necessary nutrients and minerals to keep the heart beating.

Joe Jackson's statements are so bizarre. How can he even be decked out and out and about on a red carpet with his son being carved up twice in a morgue? What's with these people? The lawyer for MJ's dr says his client has practiced cardiology for 20 years, then he should have used his med training to speak up and say that MJ was not able to do these shows. Mr. Chernoff just boasted that Dr. Murray (absolutely NO relation) is a 'qualified' Cardiologist. The man did go through an internship and residency program to become qualified. He must have done at least one or two CPR procedures during his training. Why did he attempt CPR on a soft bed and not move him to the floor? More importantly Mr. Chernoff said Dr. Murray felt a weak pulse before starting CPR. Any body trained in CPR knows you DONNOT perform CPR when the victim has a heart beat.

Regarding Dr. Murray, I don't feel it's ethical to accept the job as a personal physician when one is not board certified and is not a generalist. As a physician myself, I know the advances and standards of care in medicine are constantly changing, making board certification crucial in practicing good medicine. It is outside a cardiologist's realm of expertise to tend to matters of general health as these duties should be taken on by a board certified primary care physician.

Why doesn't anybody talk about how, the doctors lawyer keeps adding minutes to how long it took to call 911. From 5 minutes to 20 minutes, to 25 and now 30 minutes. Even a cell phone can be tracked by 911 right? If not, a DOCTOR would now that its important to call 911, there is only so much he can do. Michael Jacksons staff took 30 minutes to call 911. Now there is something to investigate.

The 30 minutes the "doctor" spent performing CPR on a soft bed and going downstairs to the kitchen could have saved Michael's life! The doctor did have a cell phone and how does he not know the address he is at? This is hard to believe.

And Chernoff's comment on Larry King that Michael was "lucky" that the doctor stayed overnight makes no sense. How was Michael lucky? If the doctor saved his life, yes, he would have been – but he didn't so the doctor staying there did not help Michael in any way.

Joe Jackson was ostensibly the underlying culprit for all of Michael's problems, so why Joe is now stepping up to the plate – what a facade. Money, in my opinion, is Joe's motive, (seemingly always has been) not the concern for Michael or Joe's other children nor Michael's. But then none of us were there to fully understand the abusive relationship that has been broadcast on the news for these 40 some odds years. Yet, I'm biased, having loved MIchael all my life, only two years older, watching him grow up and gain such phenomenal success and then endure what he has encountered. Acquitted doesn't mean innocent, but I'm in that innocent camp. Plus, I relate having suffered some abuse myself. Thus, I lean towards believing that Joe is a fruitage of the fallen angel. Very, very cruel to say, but the wrong Jackson passed.

I've been an RN for 25 years in surgery. I've been BLS and ACLS certfied every 2 years of my career. (basic life support & advanced life support) Never have we waived from the basics- to have adequate chest compressions on an adult, two hands on lower sternum and get the patient on a hard surface. On bed with 1 hand under a patient's back, on a bed – never. I certainly wouldn't want him for a cardiologist.

With MJ's bizarre life for years, I keep waiting for someone to say that this is the biggest publicity stunt ever played on anyone and that he really isn't dead.

Concerning what occured during Micheal Jackson's cardiac arrest, any first aide trainee would know to put him on the floor. A hard surface is required to perform CPR. What should happen next would be to call 911 which was not done. That "doctor" is negligent, paramedics, of which I am one would have a better chance to save him if called immediately.

Has anyone checked why he would even have a private doctor assigned to him while he prepares for his concert? I believe people grieve in different ways, but Joe Jacksons behavior was quite embarrasing. I have sons myself, and there is no way I could have publically conducted myself in that manor. It was as if he was seeking some type of spot light. His family CANNOT approve of such behavior!

I am a nurse.I work in a trauma center (hospital). When a patient "codes" we don't put them on the floor. we call a code blue, and do CPR on the bed. that is the standard practice! People need to lay-off Michael Jackson's Doctor.

I am horrified that Michael's children are and will be in such close proximity to Joe Jackson, the man who terrified and abused his own children! I hope that Debbie steps up to prevent this outrage.

I know that Michael is a controversial figure and despite being found not guilty, some people believe he hurt children. I hope and pray they are wrong, but I have no doubt that Michael was a victim for most of his life. The more I hear, the more frustrated I become that everyone, I mean everyone wanted a piece of him. He had far too many leeches around him. He really couldn't count on anyone. It's enough to drive anyone mad. We talk about him as if he had control. I'm convinced now he had control over nothing. I am confused as to why the doctor did not call 911 from his cell phone, as they can find your location from your cell phone.It was very poor judgement to leave the victim to seek help.No security system in a multimillion dollar home? WHY didn't the chef call 911? Why did they wait to have security come to"help" some 20 min later? before the call was placed? Placing a hand under his back and using 1 hand to administer CPR is not effective. The body must be on a hard surface for the pressure to be effective.Also, the security person placing the call was very calm,too calm , in an emergent sitauation.Why didn't he say it was MJ ?instead of just " a gentleman "?

I'm glad that Katherine has custody of the children, hopefully it will stay this way. Nothing worse than a Mother losing a child; no matter what age the child is. What I want to know is what Joe Jackson thought was so great to smile about. His son is gone and yet he can smile? Your son was the King of Pop, A Legend. I am sooo glad I am not a member of a "famous" family. When my dad died I pretty much went into hiding to grieve. I couldn't have coped under the camera's glare. I barely made it through the wakes. Testimonials and positive commentaries are nice, but quiet time and personal memories are what seem to help people through the most. I guess people grieve differently, but I just find it odd that they, the family, are almost seeking the limelight through this. An awards show?, a plug for a record company? Michael hasn't even been buried yet. I don't get it, but it's to each his own, I guess.

I agree Joe Jackson acts a little strange but I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt. Have any of the other children talked about his beating them? Perhaps I missed it. Anderson quoted him as saying he used a switch or belt. That was not uncommon years ago and few of those children who are adults today feel their parents abused them. This comment is with regard to our evaluation of Joe Jackson's behavior -– my mother died instantly of a massive heart attack almost 2 years ago.
I can tell you from personal experience that right now, Joe Jackson is in one of the deep stages of grief where your behavior is not really your behavior. Let me tell you, he is in shock. In many ways I look back to how I behaved and I can tell you, I was in a deep numb fog - it only hit me several months later that my Mom was actually gone. For Mr. Jackson and his family, this is brand new - and will take much time to sink in.

None of us can understand from the outside what is going on inside Mr. Jackson - trust me, unless you have been in that position you will never never know what it feels like.
Please stop judging him just like poor Michael was judged TO DEATH.

As the Grandmother of a half African American Grandchild, I don't see any African American in the pictures of his kids. They look pretty white to me. I have doubts as to whether Micheal Jackson is truly the biological Father of those three kids. If that's the case, Debbie Row could have a real case to have custody of at least the two oldest ones.

My opinion on Joe Jackson is he is not a grieving father. He is concerned about his own fame not to mention fortune that he made on his son's back. I came from a middle class family with 5 kids, 2 grandmothers and my parents all in one house with only my father working I don't know if we had money or not but my parents never ever lived off of us and he should be ashamed of himself. He took advantage of Michael in life and he is doing the exact same thing in death! He is not a parent he is an extortionist. May Michael rest in peace and may his children find some peace.

I listened with great interest as AC talked to Michael Jackson's lawyer – any medical student, nursing student, resident physician, registered nurse – essentially any one who has taken basic life support or advanced life support knows that you only do CPR on a FLAT SURFACE – either the floor or using a back board (that is available on code carts in any hospital. It sounds like the lawyer is speaking legalese which obviously sounds believable but truly is not.
If Michael Jackson's physician is a cardiologist – then he should definitely know that doing CPR on a bed is worthless!!!

I, too, did notice that Joe Jackson seems to have a hearing problem which should be no surprise given his age.

I'll try to be quick.
#1. The 2 oldest children are Michael's and Debbie Rowes. Why do they appear to not be of a mixed race?
#2.I'm a 911 ambulance dispatcher. One of the first things you learn is when asking someone if they know cpr or would like to attempt it with my help, is to advise them that once they start, you do not stop until help gets there and yet on Anderson's show tonight, the doctor's lawyer said that the doctor left Michael to run downstairs (as there was no phone in the bedroom) and yelled for someone to get help. The security staffer then went to Michael's room as you could hear the doctor in the background. The lawyer said the doctor was quite rattled, or words to that effect. Ipm glad he's not my doctor. Also, everytime I see a new specialist, I have to either take in ALL my meds or at least a list of them so they know what I'm on . This doctor's an idiot. He closed his practice to go on the road with Michael @ $150,000.00 per month. I guess his practice isn't doing very good/

Michael Jackson seemed like a very savvy businessman and I doubt that there was no WILL despite all his Assets. I just pray that his children get what they deserve.

The best case Debbie Rowe could have for custody is putting Joe Jackson's interviews in front of the court. A crazy old man, clearly not competent and clearly with his own agenda in the guardianship of the children.

I keep hearing about the mother being given custody of the children but lets understand she's in her 70's and the father is 80. How is she going to be able to take care of children that age. The court should be looking at someone for this responsible.

How can anyone think we are being hard on "Crazy" Joe Jackson...thats what the kids used to call him in old issues of Jet and Ebony in the 70's. Joe always wanted the spotlight. The sad thing is that such a loving tortured soul, who was so talented is gone, and 3 kids hav lost their father. There are people who still believe that Elvis is still alive,or the continous fascination of the assasination of JFK, the shooting of John Lennon, and even the sudden death of Princess Diana. I understand people are questioning Joe Jackson promoting his DVD business, but what I can also understand is that someone who has had the responsibility of raising 9 children like he had will push a person to constantly be thinking of ways and to be creative to find ways to bring in income for his family. I think the responsibility he had with all these children has shaped this way into thinking that he's always got to be pushing and finding ways to support his family and mentioning his DVD business was just natural for him to keep moving, keep supporting his family. I admire his work ethic and his business sense in order to support his family, I don't see anything wrong with what he did.

It is apparent he had some self-esteem issues, but honestly who doesn't? Especially when they are in the public eye from a very young age. That doesn't take anything from his musical and creative genius.

I think Michael Jackson loved his mother dearly and would fully trust her to care for his children. With all the spotlight on them there is no way that anyone in the Jackson would abuse them. My only concern would be Mrs. Jackson's age. There should be a second person named to care for them just in just case she becomes unable to continue to do so. I work in the social services field and we do this with elderly kinship adoptive parents.

I am revolted by the apparent indifference of Michael's father. While the world mourns Michael's passing, his father is out there promoting his company, no hint of tenderness or sadness towards Michael. Even after his death, Michael's father is still trying to profit from his son. How sad!

Joe Jackson does not in any way appear to be grieving the lose of his son. Michael died way too young, and unexpected. As a parent, I would be beside myself, unable to speak to the public without sobbing.

Jackson's father states he wishes Michael had had the same attention in life as he does now in death. Michael stayed out of the limelight for many years now. This outpoour of grief would have been equally matched by an outpour of fans estactic reaction to him having gone on tour much sooner.

The doctor's lawyer is being evasive. Either that or he is misinformed by his client and doesn't know better. Any emergency room physician can spot huge holes in his story. What do you call a doctor who finished last in his class? Sadly, the answer is....a doctor. In this case, it would be a nonboard certified cardiologist. Shame on him. The thing that stuns me is that last night, and again at today's press conference, Joe had a PR rep at his side. There's a lot of lies! First of all if M.J. had pulse upon arrival of EMS and while trying to contact help; why didn't dispatcher ask if pulse was present? Why were compressions started? Shouldn't they have been concentrating on respiratory arrest rather than cardiac arrest? He need proper ventilation! Regardless of what the toxicology report shows, both the dispatcher and the doctor were negligent! I bet the Lungs show morphine.

I just find it strange that Joe Jackson would even mention his record company when asked about the death of his son. In my opinion, when you lose your son, promoting your record company should be the last thing on your mind. I also don't buy Al Sharpton's explanation.

Thanks for asking Deepak about the Lupus comment he'd made. The disease takes time to declare itself. Even the antibodies called "lupus anticoagulant" can be the only manifestation of the disease – causing miscarriages and cardiac issues without overt classic symptoms.

You need to contact the American Heart Association. Unless Mr. Jackson weighed less than 40 lbs you would not do CPR with one hand, or with your hands encircling his chest. Much less on a "bed". If there was no phone in that room which I find hard to believe – he should have immediately run to another room and called for help – even to the guard shack.

I really do not think Michael's kids should go to a home that thier father said was abusive. In so many interviews, Michael talked of his father's abuse. Has anything changed. Deepak Chopra just said that because of the physical and emotional abuse that Michael suffered, he became a "self mutilator" through plastic surgery. I'd like to know why he would then say that Michael's children should be with the very cause of Michael's problems – his abusive father and the silent mother.

In my opinion, it is too bad the children have never been around other children. They need to be introduced to the world they live in and not Michael's world. It's extremely sad that they will have to live on without their father but it's not sad that they now have an opportunity to be socialized. I'm not sure their grandmother is the right person to do that. Isn't there a married family member with children who would step up to take on responsibility for these three kids. They need a lot of psychological help to learn how to be with others if it is true that their world has been so small and sheltered.

I am a 51 yr old woman who grew up with Michael Jackson, and the Jackson 5. I have always sided with Michael given his background. I am a recovering addict (24 years now) and had also been abused in my lifetime. I have a good understanding of what he went through in his life. In today's medical community,if you are not Board Certified you should probably not be in practice for your specialty.

Having assisted several physicians with organizing all of the material required for Certification,i know how difficult it is to get the Certification. Drs. have to provide case studies, all test results (a lot of paper work) and then they have to pass oral exams.

It is VERY important that lay people know that their specialty physicians should be Board Certified so that they know that the level of knowledge and patient treatment is excellent.

As a former psychiatric nurse, the confluence of impending extremely high expectations, and emotional frailty, and his seeming high energy and unusual freedom on the last night of his life all lend themselves to a possibility that he had decided to end his life at this moment, and was orchestrating his last appearance.

It is still so hard to believe that he is gone. What I find bizzarr is his dad walking around smile and promoting his new ventures as if nothing has happen. I believe what Micheal said about the way they were treated by Joseph. It is very sad.

I wonder if this lawyer for the Doctor of Michael Jackson is just misinformed by his client, or he seriously expects people to believe his nonsense. Ask why he claims the doctor stayed in the er 2 hours comforting the Jackson family, while they claim he disappered and never spoke to them. Even the Rev. Jesse Jackson stated this. And why did the doctor just happen to stick his head in Michael's room to check on him? And why did it take so long to call 911? This stinks to high heaven and its sure to get worse.

As far as dialing 911 from a cell phone, technology, depending on where you live, can narrow your addres down to blocks or your call will go to the closest cell tower and usually ends up at the local highway patrol office. . You have to call from a landline phone (house phone) in order for the address to automatically populate for the dispatcher.

Did anyone other than the children stand to gain financially from Michael's death. From what has been said by doctors and physical trainers he was in fairly good health. What about insurance policies and did those backing the now cancelled concerts have insurance on his life?

With regard to Michael Jackson, I think a serious look into the religion he was raised in, Jehovah's Witnesses, will reveal much as to his personality. Former Jehovah's Witnesses can suffer from depression, abnormal behavior, seperation from family, anxiety and quilt. As a former Jehovah's Witness, as Michael was, I escaped without too much damage. This whole thing seems to hard to believe .I mean michael's dead and it seems like we haven't figured out the main reason why.There are mysterious secrets of his life that are yet to be revealed.and i feel that when he was going through his hardest time ,no on e was really there for him.i really do miss him.

I feel so sorry for Michael's life, he was never a good spokes person for himself. My mother had vitilego too and if he would have just rolled up his sleeves and shown the world, it would have brought knowledge to the public of this disease.I was disappointed that he didn't bring more public awarness to it and support the children and people also suffering with this skin disorder.
FYI doctors never do the CPR, the get the nurses and orderlies do that while they call out orders, not surprised he was doing on the bed...incorrectly.

I had the honor of being the insurance claims rep for the earthquake damage at the Encino house.....was just amazed at Michael's involvement with the details of that process. Everyone I dealt with was super nice and professional .....they introduced me to his music (which I was only sort of aware of before), and I've been a big fan since. Having that personal experience with them leaves me with more than sadness now. RIP Michael.

I believe that Jackson has been overdosed by some type of a drug and perhaps maybe have done it on purpose because of maybe some stress he's been having with getting ready for his concerts or something and so that is why he had doctor murray stay over night because Jackson knew that he's going to be needing "assistance" because maybe Jackson had planned to overdose himself, but again we all never what exactly happen because its Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson was used and abused by his father, and by people he thought were his friends. This is why he lived his life in seclusion. I find it sad that someone with all of that genius lived such a tragic life.

Joe Jackson is all about himself. When asked how the family was doing, his remark was "everyone was doing fine". Doing fine, I don't think so. You get everyone – managers, bodyguards etc. to call the hospital, to be close to you and you concentrate on your friend/patient.... CPR on the bed??? And the person I am talking about has heath problems and is reach and has all the means to afore living doctor but he didn't. The doctors were coming every now and then but never lived with him.
So, knowing all that I still don't understand why you hire cardiologist to make sure that Michael is ok...

Listen to what the doctor's lawyer said. He said the doctor never "prescribed" Demerol and Oxycontin to Michael Jackson. That doesn't mean that he never administered those drugs to him.

Clearly after watching the interview with the doctor's lawyer, I just cant believe a word out of his mouth. For some reasons I get this feeling the doctor wanted to see MJ die. I dont know why though but his father was sure happy about it over at the BET awards this past weekend. Truly, Michael was an huge icon and I believe he asked for prescriptions for Demerol and all other painkillers is because of the emotional pain he is in. Probably from the media, all the controversies surrounding him, and his father abuse over the years. I grew up listening to Michael's music, and loved him then, and still do! I am gald that the kids are with his mother and pray that they remind with her until such time. I feel so terrible inside everytime I watch the various news about him, very heart wrenching!

Great show by the way, but I'm very sadden by the fact that a father would bank on a son's death. Anyone with eyes or ears can see and hear what he's all about. He wore his heart on his sleeve! I wish the world would learn the good things, instead of the harsh cruel judgemnets upon his character. I have taken CPR and also how to use a defibrillator devise to shock the heart.. The defibrillator is an expensive medical devise. Surely the doctor had one one these. This devise increases the change of survival more then CPR. Check with the Red Cross about this.

This last weekend there was a special on MTV that only focused on music and in career of the Michael Jackson. Nowhere there was nothing about the scandals, of the confusions or of the controversy of his life. It was so beautiful and so cool to watch!

Anderson Cooper, I just seen the interview that you did with Conrad's attorney. I find it very difficult to believe that someone in Conrad's professional field didn't perform the proper procedure in performing CPR. In my opinion, foul play is truly involved where this doctor is concerned.

The doctor's lawyer is doing more harm than good (for the doctor). He should've just stayed off the air. He's actually raising MORE suspicions about the "doctor". IMO, MJ didn't know anything about this doctor, other than he was a black guy that he liked. I think that MJ's children will have a hard time coping with losing their dad because Michael Jackson has had a big legacy. I feel great respect and grief for the friends and family of Michael Jackson. That said, I feel that CNN is using this sad event to secure higher ratings and to dispense questionalbe information. Certainly the story deserves daily reporting but the constant stories and the inuendo is becoming poor news casting and enough enough!!!!! I am concerned that if Michael's mother, Katherine, was not able to protect him from his father's physical and psychological abuse, she may not be able to protect the grand children either.

I am so devasted about Micheal Jacksons death. He was such a great and amazing person that will never be forgotten no matter how hard we all try. No words can explain the pain and sorrow i feel about micheal. But i know that he is in a better place now..heaven.

Another thing that has rubbed me the wrong way lately is that micheal father seems so careless about his son death. The stunt he pulled on the red carpet was uncalled for. And i could careless that he tried to apologize about it. it was so uncalled for and it hurts me alot to see that.

Please get someone from the red cross to say the DR didn't follow protocol. When you are alone you get help 1st then begin CPR. He is a cardiologist and knew what to do is bull. BTW what was he doing treating the kids 2 years ago is he also a pediatrician? His lawyer looked like a deer in headlights. We will probaly never know the full scope but I can tell you this DR contributed to his death no doubt. Everyone knows you call for ACLS to get 1st line meds like epi etc... why did this guy wait? This is not the time to dwell in negativity but rather to pray for his family and most importantly his three kids he left behind. I am happy custody was given to his mother, no other person can do a better job raising those kids except his mother.

Yes, Michael had a drug addiction, that most believe he suffered from emotional and social issues from his childhood. When you have an addiction of that magnitude he definitely was not thinking right, it was impossible, he saw his world in a different manner. Obviously surrounded himself with enablers because in his mind he didn't have a problem but everyone else did. With that said, it's not his childrens fault, they are not responsible for his actions. He was sick, but the focus should be on his music and dance, he had amazing talent. All this negative information may cause his children to have emotional and social issues and may lead them to a drug problem later on down the road. Please think of the impact this may have on them. Michael Jackson was an incredible genius. We can look at videos of his from 15-20 years ago and they are as fabulous today as they were then. It doesn't matter to me what comes out about him now – he was a creative genius and always will be.

Michael's years of what the world called madness can now be viewed through different eyes. We are just now learning about how his life and sometimes actions contained pleas for help, yet those pleas went unanswered. Michael's message was love and his desire was for the world (especially children) to know the love and acceptance that he felt he never received. If there is a lesson to be learned through this tragedy, it would be to be aware of those around us and to be aware of the messages they are sending. If we learn that lesson and act in love toward our fellow man, Michael's message and his lifes work will be complete.

This is the first I heard of MJ having lupus. I know his skin problems were auto-immune, so it shouldn't be a surprise that he suffered from these terrible illnesses. I've had lupus for over 25 years, and know they can be life threatening! This could very well be part of why he died...Lay off the talk about him being drug addicted until the results come back...Auto-immune diseases can be very painful!

i could only blame two things for his death : a deprived childhood and an abusive media. children must undego normal childhood to prevent climacterium to occur. likewise, how come media does not recognize rights of those they cover? the right to express oneself is NOT absolute! just to have a scoop, paparazzis invade peoples privacy. even as a public figure there must be limits to give respect to intimate and personal lives of people. peoples rights are limited because others have rights as well! tmz?

Why don't you ask a rheumatologist on-please explain the disease of lupus. The meaning of the word and the pain these patients live with each day. You brought cardiologists on to explain the difference b/w cardiac arrest and a heart attack but yet nothing but a mere mention about lupus. The world needs to be educated on this disease and the much needed research that is needed

I feel that the most important concern, should be Michael's children. It really is wonderful for their grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins to be there for them. Joe Jackson is a whole different story.

Thank you Anderson for interviewing Michael Jackson's Defense Attorney a few minutes ago. I didn't catch his name but he made so much sense of Michael's behavor. I too have trusted the wrong people and have learned to shut out the vultures. I wish Michael would have had better people looking out for his best interest and not their own. I will miss his style of meaningful music.

A few days before Michael death, something on TV prompted me to say to myself; "I know Michael will come out with an amazing new song, soon. Then a few days later, he is passed. I am in shock. A lose undiscribeable. I will never tire of the new worthy information about this tragedy. I am grateful that his children can actually see the overwhelming affection pouring out from all four corners of the earth. I don't think they ever experience that love from Michael's fans.

Why is Deepak being interviewed so much? Where are the recent pics of the 2 of them? Deepak could not be a friend discussing the subject of this "so called addiction" of MJ's. He's doing the family more harm than good by trying to confirm MJ's private matters. He's suddenly reminding me of Bashir and it appears that he probably manipulated MJ the same way Bashir did. I pray for the family and I am saddened in a selfish way b/c I anticipated being front row, care-free, white t-shirt, blood, sweat and tears at one of his upcoming concerts. There will never be another!!!!

My heart goes out to Michael...all this just makes me cry at such a tragic loss that didn't have to happen...and with that father, it's amazing that he managed to carry on through life as well as he did. If Deepak Chopra couldn't get through to him and help him, no one could. I pray that wherever he is Michael can feel the outpouring of affection worldwide and how much he was loved...and how very much he will be missed.

It is obvious that Michael's demise was nothing to his father, whom abused him and has the nerve to deny that his own son had serious psycological problems because and only because of him.

Thank you for the coverage on Michael. I've been hearing that Elvis did not have MTV and videos therefore, this may be a reason why Michael's fame surpasses. I love Elvis, although we have to remember that Michael was performing while Elvis was alive – both great artists. Most importantly, Michael created Videos like no other existed and they were way ahead of our time (a mini movie). I truely believe it's because of Michael Jackson that MTV video's were born! His production ideas were genius and advanced in his creativite mind. You can't really say Elvis had no MTV, you may say Michael created this type of media, dance moves and humanitary charities through his music, a true gift for all of us.

Regarding the custody of Michael Jacksons' children. Obviously they do not belong with Rowe and I hope they end up with his mother. But what bothers me is the fact that Michael who stated in many interviews the abuse to him at his fathers hand and that he will NEVER leave his children alone with him, will now have access to them. I believe he would never allowed this! If it was just the grandmother whom he loved that would be the best or maybe one of the siblings. But this man should not be allowed near them. Based on his comments, the man is plugging a record company, he's smiling all the time, and seems only to be interested in the money that can come in now. I pray the man has to keep a distance from them. He practically destroyed their father and I can see Joe trying to make a band out of them in the future. I hope a will is found, if not then report on the news how abusive and money hungry this guy is.

I heard that Joe Jackson lives in Las Vegas and Katherine lives in Echino, so the kids may not have to go through what MJ did with his dad. I do think Joe Jackson is just a little ignorant and didn't realize his comment about the record company would cause so much trouble. As far as the Dr., I'm mixed up on why he didn't call 911 sooner. Who knows maybe security guard could be interviewed. My guess is that maybe he was so devastated and in shock that MJ was literally dying in his arms and probably feels bad that he wasn't able to save a legend. I understand the reality of Lupus. My husband was dx w/Lupus 15 yrs ago. He is in chronic pain 24/7. My husband takes paind meds, but it does not ever get rid of the pain. Dr.'s have done all they can and it is terminal. We both understand and wondered if there was underlying condition w/Michael. Please go easy on Michael. He does not deserve it.

Im very disturbed by Joe Jackson, unfortantley.... I really thought it would tear him up the most. Im AA and its in our culture I guess to whop kids so no big deal there.

When Catherine Jackson was awarded temporary custody today, I also thought about her "age", and why Janet or one of the other, younger family members couldn't be named. As far as Catherine NOT living with Joe anymore...great! Joe and his cronies need to go home, and put their business ventures back in the background, where they belong. She died last year and reliving those years through the music the last few days was like losing her all over again. The media tributes and coverage is necessary, I suppose, however, the in depth comments and veiwing of his personal life is unsettling to me. He was the greatest, most mesmerizing entertainer in the world, truly amazing on stage. He appears to have an uncommon spirit, which many of the status quo could not and will not ever understand. I loved his music and his spirit. Rip Michael and prayers and condolences to his family and loved ones left behind.

Though Michael was embarressed about having Lupus, it is good to have brought it to light. It explains how hard it is to live with. It explains his skin condition, having good days and having bad days, his weight loss, becoming fraile, feeling sick, sore and in pain. I have a friend w/ this very rare disease that there is no cure for. I know that she suffers a great deal when the sickness turns for the worse where you cannot get out of bed and develop sores all over. It's horrible to live with. If this is true, I wish Michael could have shared this with us so that we could emphasize with him. God Bless Him!

On the 911 call when the operator asked if anyone witnessed what happened the caller (from MJ's residence) asked the doctor if he saw what happened, there was some jibberish in the background from the doctor ,and then all of the sudden the caller says please get here soon. He avoided the question, never answered it. And also, the operator asked where MJ was and the caller said on the bed and that the doctor was administrating CPR, the operator said put him on the floor the caller said "ok" in a tone of voice as if to say oh well, kinda like he knew MJ was already dead. Just the way he said it, "OK". You would think he would have screamed "get him on the floor and do CPR" but all he said was "OK"- and never told the doctor to put him on the floor. Who was this caller anyway? Has anyone identified him yet. The doctor said that there wasn't a phone in the room to call the emt's but how did the caller get news about MJ not breathing and call 911. The doctor must have made a call to him or ran to get him at some point. THINGS ARE NOT ADDING UP HERE...................

Joe Jackson should stopped , he has done enough damage to his entire family.. it,s parents responsibily to financial care for there children. mike was to young to take on all that responsibily. I do not understand how an accomplished physician of over 30 years experience was so "rattled" that he couldn't bring himself to make a 911 phonecall? A thirty-minute delay before the ambulance arrives is suspicious. I don't blame the Jackson family for requesting a second autopsy.

Why did the doctor wait for security before calling 911? Why didn't he use his cell phone because all cell phones have GPS trackibility? The doctor should have called 911 even if he didn't have the address. He could have used landmarks to describe his location.
