Video: Farrah's Story

Editor's note: Farrah Fawcett, the blonde-maned actress whose best-selling poster and "Charlie's Angels" stardom made her one of the most famous faces in the world, died Thursday. She was 62. Fawcett's cancer journey was documented in a television special partly shot by the actress. Fawcett began shooting "Farrah's Story," by taking a camera to a doctor's appointment. Eventually, the film expanded to include trips overseas in hopes of treating the cancer. The documentary aired on NBC on May 15. Watch this clip from the documentary.

As I sit watching the TV, I am saddened by the loss of such a beautiful woman inside and out. I never met her but for some reason I see a part of me in her. I have lost so many women in my family due to breast cancer and I am always praying for all who are fight this disease. I didn't see the documentary but I will watch on Saturday. My heart goes out to her family and all those who love her. She will be missed.

I admire Farrah's bravery and her generosity in sharing her story. She looked so small and scared in that excerpt. I hope she is at peace in a happier place now.

Please don't let the death of Michael Jackson overshadow this brave woman's death.

We grew up watching her on Charlie's Angels and many of us spent hours trying to make our hair like Farrah's. The world is just not the same with some people not in it. I am sorry for her family

I wished I had seen the Farrah Story. I just returned from saying goodbye to my sister who is a few weeks from her journey to the otherside. Liver cancer is very painful and although today we lost our Angel she is now free of the pain.
My thoughts and prayers to the family and may God help your healing.

My heartfelt thoughts go out to her family. Farrah certainly lived longer then what they thought and I know she will be missed.

Hopefully her son will clean up his act, in memory for his mom who loved him dearly....

While I am a woman, and granted did not have her hot poster in my room – I had watched Charlie's Angels and saw her impact on my generation. I unfortunately allowed myself to be influenced by the "disaster" interview on David Letterman, which at my age, I know better. Just last month, I accidentally came upon her documentary – and could not move! She is INCREDIBLE, – that documentary was something I will never forget. God love her, Ryan and her son.

I watched Farrahs doc and just have to say .. What a Beautiful Person !! The Courage to Share her Pain for millions to see firsthand what it is like to live with the disease. This is something you dont see on tv usually, the actual pain, suffering, the medical decisions that need to be made. The trauma.. This doc also gave me a new light on our health care system and how there is always a chance outside this country to get help. I pray for Farrah and her family. Best wishes and Regards with tons for Love and Support !!

I just got home and found out that Farrah had passed away. Although a very sad and difficult time for her family they are hopefully comforted by the fact she is no longer suffering.

I hope the media respects the families privacy and gives her the dignity she deserves. I watched her program showing the progress of her illness, all I could do was cry.

I am hoping that some of the equipment my husband and many others sold over the years to researchers in this field will one day find a cure for all cancers.

    Hi Anderson.

    Hi bloggers.

Ed McMahon had to sell his house before not so long he died. This story is so tearingly hurtful sad. I wish everyone at least has a home to live.

That video really makes me sick. Farrah must have suffered immensely. My Father died of cancer and I saw the suffering.
We must find a cure or vaccine for cancer. There are a lot of jobs which will be lost if a cure is discovered.
Just think of all the doctors and staff who will be jobless. Could that be why we don't have a cure?
Let's face it, politics affects us ALL in many ways!

I did see the, "Farrah's Story", it touched me so. I lost an old boyfriend about a year ago this month, of Cancer. He died three days before my birthday June 1, 2008. I suppost to met with him on my birthday but when I talked to him on the phone he didn't sound good I knew in my heart that he won't make it that far. He told me that he thought that he wouldn't make it, so he said, "Happy Birthday and goodbye". Robert was his name he suffered badly but never complained he was that way. Robert will be missed by all who loved him so, especially me, Rose.

I watched this story on Oxygen and have to say Farrah was really brave in letting everyone see her go through all of this so we would truly see how cancer effects people. It was so sad to hear that she passed away this morning. My thoughts and prayers go out to her dad, son and to all who knew and loved her.
