My first concert was Herman's Hermits in a fuddy duddy civic auditorium in St. Louis. So much for cutting edge concert venues in the Mid West at that time. And it so happens that my LAST concert was seeing those same Herman's Hermits (much older version) at Lake Tahoe last summer. Again in a dreary setting now that I think of it–they were at the Horizon in some bleak back room rather than at a main concert stage where the big boys play. Kind of reminded me of Hugh Grant in "Music and Lyrics."

My first concert I it was my 11th birthday 7/14/89 and I saw Motley Crue with my sister who is 7 years older than me and I have seen many concerts since then including Crue 3 more times!

My first concert was Rick James and a very young Prince as an opening act. I believe it was 1980 and I was 13 years-old. It was a really great concert and I was really crazy about Prince. What a combination, they don't do them like that anymore!

My first concert was at the Carolina Coliseum, in Columbia, South Carolina, with my best friend to see M.C. Hammer's 2 Legit 2 Quit world tour. the opening acts where Oaktown's 357, Jodeci and Boys 2 Men. That was a concert I'll never forget, Hammer put on a show. My friend and I were hoarse for about a week.

My 1st was Aerosmith, 1980s, Springfield,MA general admission. Major snowstorm, roads were closed and we all, including the band were stuck there.I got home the next morning; did I mention I went without permission? Big trouble the next day but so worth it!

I remember this boy used to embarrass the hell out of me by getting on his knees @ my desk in 7th or 8th grade, singing "Just you and me, simple & free . . . November, 1972 during my first year in university. About a dozen of my newest best friends took the bus downtown and together we had a dinner of Chinese food at Sam The Chinese Food Man's restaurant upstairs from Sam The Record Man at Yonge and Dundas. Then it was off to Massey Hall to see Cat Stevens perform. We had great seats (centre balcony, 3rd row) and I think the tickets were $7 or $8 each and I still remember it as one of the absolute best concerts I've ever attended. Cat was impeccable, a real stickler about giving a perfect performance and at one point he became quite irritated by his band mates because they began a number a bit out of synch. He stopped and made them re-start the song.

My first concert was in 1964. I was 13 and my sister was 11 and we snuck out of the house and took the A- train to Comiskey park to see the Beatles. The tickets were $4.50 each.Then we couldn't talk about it around our parents for two years because they would have killed us.. We weren't allowed to go more than a block from home. I am only 22 and am a fan of music before my time, so reading all of this has made me very jealous... my first concert was Michael Jackson in South Africa in the 90s..... Yay me...
