They need to think about letting everyone go through a national system. Right now when you look for a job part of the equation that you consider is the extent of the company's health insurance offerings in their benefits. If this was done outside of the job in a national system, it would relieve the company of a large cost associated with labor, allowing the company to compete better in the marketplace and have products with a price that could compete globally. The employee would not have to worry about losing their health insurance if they are laid off, fired, or transfer to a different job. Small business would be able to compete for the best employee talent on a more equal footing with large business. Doing it this way I think would be a great advantage to everyone involved.

Obama is on track and he is a strong leader. I wish snmall minded people will leave him alone or better yet support him. His goals are high and that is what we want after eight years of nothing but war. I hope the GOP just gets with it - their whole platform is from the past. I would rather not hear ever again about Palin. Hate crime should care a manditory sentence of 20 years - it is actually treason. Read the constitution. Freedom of speech and hate crimes are two different things. Let's all get along and work together for the good of the country not a bunch of old ideas.

I am most touched by the zeal of obama to get at the heels of insurance companies as ,he has for banks and mortgage companies and firms,i belief is time for consumer advocacy to prevail over jungle capitalism.
its time to be optimistic and upfront about the future, i belief capitalisnm has shown its failures .its time to capitulate to an economic model based on the whole rather than the individual.
the future is meant for those with an evolutionary spirit ,the best in each of us can better be characterised , with a certain degree of modesty as to ethics.

I am a Canadian and was just talking to an American woman and she told me that the banks were bailed out but the American people have not been bailed out. She has lost her job and home and has no income at the present time. The bank charges her for overdrawn items of approx. $7.00 /item and a daily fee. Why do the banks need a bialout with those kind of rediculous fees. The avereage American is being taken by the banks. How is the normal working person suppose to afford that. It is always catch up. That is not helping the economy. Big business is still big business and getting bigger. Thought that you might do a story on this. Banks were bailed out but not the average American. Banks were bailed out but still charge large fees which should be stopped.

I hope President Obama himself, his speechwriters, and all politicians, for that matter, are fans of AC360. In my opinion, there is no better place to listen to the true voice of the people than on these blogs. If they wonder what we are thinking on a certain subject, CNN has that subject covered, with comments the President really needs to hear. And please Pres. Obama drop Tom Foreman a line.

Hello people. When they say we run a deficit. It means all our taxes can't add up for all the spending we do. (Medicare, wars, education, etc..)

I wouldn't be surprised if at least some of Pres. Obama's speachwriters watched AC360 on an occasional basis.

I watch because the show presents opposing views without making either side look foolish. Some of the guests are controversial and even hold views that are objectionable to me, but Anderson Cooper treats them all with respect, asks good questions, listens to them and allows them to speak their piece (unless they get all long-winded and ranty). I realize that not all conservatives feel that they get a fair airing on CNN, but I think they do a good job.

I also appreciate that Anderson Cooper doesn't allow his guests to yell and talk over each other. I had to turn off Campbell Brown the other day because the guests were all screaming at each other. I can't stand that. I understand that it was a passionate subject (free speach vs. hate speach), but it was just too much for me.

As a politician, using the word HONEST should rarely be done. It will come back to bite ya every time.

Why would he not listen to 360? Every night, you all do nothing but praise him, no matter what he says, or who he picks for what position, he is always right. You keep putting him so high up on that stool, when he does fall, it will really hurt. He is not GOD, he makes mistakes, start being the News Station that you claim to be and hold him responsible for some of the remarks he makes, and pep\ople he chooses.
