It seems that Israel feels that unless you endorse everything they do you are not their ally or are stepping away from them. They should negotiate with the Palestinians and find a way to share the territory in question – this territory belongs to Palestine just as much, if not more, than it does to Israel. I don't think either side is totally in the right or totally in the wrong and compromise while not always appealing is the only road to a peaceful existence in that part of the world. It would certainly be better than continuing to lob rockets at each other.
