Investigators probing the killing of Davina and Brock Husted searched for evidence Monday in two cars belonging to the couple, as well as at their business address in Santa Barbara, court records show.

The search warrants issued Monday also allowed investigators to examine a boat and two trucks.

The warrants were issued to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, which is leading the investigation into the deaths of the couple, who were stabbed to death by an unidentified intruder at their Faria Beach home on the night of May 20.

Detectives on Monday examined a silver Jaguar at the couple’s beachfront home as well as a maroon Mercedes-Benz, the search warrant information shows.

They also apparently examined a 1977 Sea Ray cabin boat and went to the couple’s business address in the 100 block of Garden Street in Santa Barbara and searched two Chevrolet pickup trucks.
