What if you were riding a bus, someone sneezed on you but didn’t cover his mouth, and you had another half hour before you could get off the bus and wash yourself? Will you get his germs?

My family did not have their flu shot this year, would the "regular" flu shot provide any protection against the Swine Flu?

Also, does the Swine flu virus have the ability to change and become stonger/more dangerous as it works its way through the world population?

My daughter has Lupus – should she be attending school of 3,000 students?

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has determined that this influenza A (H1N1) virus is contagious and is spreading from human to human. Lets use a little logic. If one person can spread it to 10 people, then could not 10 people spread it to 1000 people? How, then, can anyone in their right mind say that since the H1N1 virus is already in America, that closing borders to prevent more cases from coming is like closing the barn door after the horses are out? First of all, there are hundreds of more horses that are in the barn. If we leave the barn door open, those horses are going to come to America. Get serious, people. We are closing schools in this country because of students who have the H1N1 virus.

Soon we will need a veterinarian to see when we get sick, how awful is all that.

Isabel Abreu   April 30th, 2009 7:17 pm ET

What we need is the diagnoses of the cases the most precocious possible, for it can to enter a specific medication and not increase the number of deaths.

Regarding N1H1, what about troops that are on leave? Will they be able to go back and what about the troops that will go on leave? We do want to make sure when they return they do not take this back with them.

One person in my family works as a desk clerk at a hotel which is frequented by business travelers. What should he do to decrease his chances of getting swine flu and bringing it home to the rest of us?

Given the fact that "swine flu" is the result of the reassortment of avian, porcine, and human influenza viruses, what happens if and when the virus reaches a country like Egypt or Indonesia, where "bird flu" exists? Is it possible that "swine flu" could reassort with "bird flu" to create a new "super flu" that would be as lethal as H5N1 and as easily transmissible among humans as H1N1? And if so, what is the likelihood of such a reassortment occurring?
