I thought the Presidents speech was just what the people needed to hear. I thought He broke it down in a way we all can understand. He answered the question that a lot of us were asking. I think He (President Obama) did an excellent job.
If we stop judging & fighting him and work with him & allow him to do what this country needs you will see just how great he will be. He has a great team in his corner and I believe they will get the job done if we as a people give him the opportunity he deserves.
Keep up the Great job President Obama!!!!!!!!!!!

i really liked what he said. I believe he will try his best to make things happen like he said. I just hope that he will have time for it.

President Obama speaks with such eloquence and confidence. He represents America well and is a president that we can be proud of. I pray for him and his family continually. Republicans are starting to forget that he inhearted the national debt. Their message is now, we can not leave a 3 trillion dollar debt to our children. Guys, bush broke the kids piggy bank, Obama is only trying to pick the change up from the floor and place it in another piggy bank. You did not complain when Bush took a hammer to the children's savings. Nor did you raise debate when he sold the families prized pig. Though we are concerned about the debt pased down to our children, we must ensure there is a viable, prosperous, country to give them.

I am from Louisiana, Governor Bobby Jindal is the governor of this state. Guys, he is no Barack Obama

Outstanding speech. It was honest and straight to the poing. If he is able to accomplish just half of what he mentioned, this nation will be a great deal better.

Me no watch speeches.. Me watch deficit go up by the trillions in a matter of a month.. And then not even a free sample of shampoo in my mail box. And much less have I seen any one of them 3 legged stools around. Not even one.. I mean, I even went to every bar in town and couldn’t find one.. Somebody please tell me that we have gotten gaffed by trillions of dollars already. I think that some of you put too much free radical fantasy into them speeches.. I know that for some of you he is a fantasy Hero.. But let’s get real when doing pooling!! Ok?

I for one am getting sick and tired of the goose-stepping cadre of the Grand Old Party. Not one of the GOP representatives felt the stim package had any value? Or was the arm twisting just more of the same old rule or ruin party the the GOP has become. When they took their office did they not take an oath to serve the country and uphold the Constitution? or was that an oath to back the party line at any cost to the good of the country as a whole? Look at CA, the GOP convention censured and will withhold support from 6 members of the GOP state senate and house who supported the Gov's budget. Wow, that is sure indicative of support of the state, or rather the GOP's typical politics of my way or go to hell.
