I do agree that Dark Knight was amazing and Ledger was shockingly amazing. I love dark scary type movies and he played the Joker perfectly. I even saw the movie in the theater twice – which is almost unheard of for me.

All right, I need to know…what’s everyone’s favorite movie of all time?

That is a very hard question!

I like the scary thriller types – so I'd say the ones that have (or will) go down in history as classics – like Silence of the Lambs. Maybe Dark Knight – we'll see (DK definitely was a Rated R movie).

I like Bruce Willis's past action movies. Most movies he stars in I like. I like the Bourne series – especially the last one. There was a movie called "Copycat" that I used to love watching – but its a serial killer movie. But favorite movie of all time? Man – that's too hard. I guess I don't have one. : )

if you noticed, they've changed the front part of the kodak theater, so that the people on the stage are much closer to the ground, so it feels much more intimate. And im told all the nominees are seated much closer to the front than normal so there is less time spent with people walking to the stage.

What is up with people and the Godfather? Some great lines, but it's like every guy I talk to they constantly say things like:

"Leave the gun, take the cannoli" and "take it to the mattresses" and "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse."

Anderson– great tastes! I made it a goal to see all the Oscar films this year, and without a doubt Slumdog Millionaire and Milk were the best.
A part of me hopes this years production isn't TOO painful for former host Jon Stewart to stomach. But if Wolverine is going to sing and dance... that's near impossible to beat!

Anderson, In my opinion, "The Reader" is a fantasic movie, but I tend to like haunting and intense films. I hope you get the chance to see it.

Hugh Jackman is sexy and very talented. The opening was GREAT!

Ashley, The Godfather is more than just great lines, it's a saga about the love of a father for his son, it's about the raw intense life of a mafia world. It's about the betrayal, deceit, disappointment. Relationships between a husband and wife, relationships between a father and his sons, relationships between friends and enemies. Yes you might look at the movie and say it's a typical mafia film, but it's more.

@ Anderson, I was just thinking the same thing, I like how they are making it more personal but also thought this is going to last forever! They could have just given out 3 awards in the time they took for one

If you saw Vicky Christina Barcelona, you will see why she won. She has been robbed this whole awards season. By the way, I loved Amy, Viola and Taraji in the other roles. I didn't see Wall-E. But I like that a movie called "Kung Fu Panda" was just announced as an Oscar nominee. That sounds about right.

I actually saw Wall-E. Don't usually watch to many animated films but I enjoyed it.

EJ, the first 30 minutes is just the opening. It's where they lay out certain characters, and the basis for the film, but it gets wayyyy better, trust me. More Drama, more action, more intensity. It may be long, but it's well worth it.

Uh oh. We've angered Jack re: the Godfather. I just wasn't that impressed. Maybe I wasn't in the right mood at the time.

Jack, The Godfather is the GREATEST movie of all time. Crazy how they were going to get rid of Al Pacino because they felt that he wasn't good, but when he did that restaurant scene, it was all gravy after that. Amazing scene. Just the intensity in his eyes. You saw fear, anxiety, grit, anger, gangster, all in his eyes in that scene. AMAZING!

Shillie you have to give the Godfather time. Of course the 1st 30 minutes aren't that exciting. But by then you've only scene what, Connie's wedding, Michael and his girlfriend Kay, Sonny cheating on his wife, and I think that Tom is on his way to California. I don't even think the Horse head scene is in the 1st 30min.

"Apocalypse Now" is the best film of all time. Don't give me that de-facto, "GODFATHER!!!!"

HBO decided to play them completely out of order and i was so lost i had to rent them to watch them in order so i would no longer be confused! lol

i also own all 3 and even went to a midnight viewing of it (and scarface, not on the same nite of course) at the theater.

I watched every Godfather movie! How could one not forget the infamous "horses head" in the bed scene! All great movies, but then, I'm half Italian and most likely have relatives who were in the mafia so I was intriqued.....what can I say.
