Obama is motivating, but it is better to hear Tim's "bad news" and get it out in the open, so we all can take this more seriously.

Hi Anderson and all, wasn't the town hall something?

61 to 37 wasn't a significant victory for who want to assert themselves as a leader for change.

President Obama will not have easy life. (I'm getting repetitive, sorry).

To realize the changes propagated, he will conflict with the strong American conservatism, which broke the country supporting the bellicose policy. I trust him!

Martina, this economic situation is proving something in spades: when people stop believing in something, it stops existing. In this case, economic security... and the Dow. Still, the value of the American dollar is going up against ours here in Canada... hmm?

Interesting the GOP making threats against the 3 republican senators who voted for the bill. Showing their true colors. I dont understand why they areplaying politics in such a grim situation.

CaseyJ, I don't think Congress is used to putting in an 8 hour day.

What's the deal with $2 trillion more? Obama is on a path to make the Bush deficit seem like spare change.

I'm still digesting Pres. Obama's News Conference last night, but things feel really... problematic. It's kind of scary

Goldman Sachs (received $10 billion for what reason, I don't know) stated today they want to pay it back ASAP, because of the restrictions that accompany it now. Guess they didn't need it after all. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Scaling back tax credits for home-buyers? We need to put some of that money then back into our school system. That's what really needs the money right now, since teachers are in high demand...

Good evening Anderson, Randi Kaye and Fellow Bloggers -

Busy day for President Obama - was home today and got to watch most of his Town Hall in Ft. Meyers - it was good to see him outside the DC "bubble" - one gets the feeling that while he understands how Washington works, he really cares about "Main Street" - I think this does a lot in restoring our confidence in the Office of the President.

Spector should be concerned but not because of the GOP. He tried to block Holder and folks remember his performance in the Anita Hill proceedings. He is just an opportunist.

    Hey everyone!

I loved President Obama's talk in Florida today. Especially the last question that the young man asked. He was so enthusiastic, it was so nice to see how much the youth truly does appreciate our new President.

I was elated to see the news appear on the monitors at the CBC today: Senate says "Yes" to bill. Yay! Now I find out it's not yet over, with both Senate and Congress needing to meet somewhere in the middle, as their bills are not identical. Eeeep...
