Rod Blagojevich even turns up in the Stimulus bill

Emma Lacey-Bordeaux
CNN Researcher

Interesting tidbit from page 14:

“None of the funds provided by this Act may be made available to the State of Illinois, or any agency of the State, unless (1) the use of such funds by the State is approved in legislation enacted by the State after the date of the enactment of this Act, or (2) Rod R. Blagojevich no longer holds the office of Governor of the State of Illinois.”

I hope Blagojevich is thrown out of office quickly so the state of Illinois isn't punished for his bad behavior on the bailouts – that would hurt millions of people for the actions of one person. Hardly fair. I'm wondering how Blagojevich is going to look in stripes.

Blagojevich is getting as much "free speech" as anyone can bare to hear. The self delusional megalomaniac hit the airways and actually believes that his gushing and denials and telling how "the fix is in," etc... will help him. Who could possibly believe his garbage mouth?

I can't believe our taxes dollars put someone like this in office. I hope that we all learn from this.

Gee, I wonder if there is any provision to not have stimulus funds go to any state whose Senator or Representative has ever been tied to someone who got caught with their hand in the cookie jar, or even been caught with their own hand in the cookie jar.

If it weren't so serious, it really would be laughable.
