Jackie Puskas
AC360° Editorial Producer

Hi all, we here at AC360° are looking forward to bringing you all the momentous and moving moments of the inauguration events over the next 5 days!

I am an editorial producer for AC360° heading to DC on Monday to make sure our contributors and guests are where they should be when they should be next week. It should be quite a challenge given what we’re hearing about the crowds, security and locations!

I have the added bonus of getting to see my sister, Beth Puskas, who is an equestrian instructor and jumping coach with Culver Academies, ride with her students in her second parade. They have quite an interesting story! This is the FIFTEENTH time they have participated in an Inaugural Parade – the first was in 1913 honoring Woodrow Wilson.

They make for quite an awesome and patriotic site: more than 80 students from grades 9-12, on horseback, carrying flags and marching through the streets of DC. The members of Culver’s Black Horse Troop represent 20 states and 11 countries.

We’re looking forward to bringing you the best anchors, guests, coverage and behind-the-scenes stories – see you there!

When does the dvd hit the stores? How about a story on the most ridiculous Obama merchandising products on the market?

David Gergen is a most respected even-tempered contributor and has a steady narrative and a sound historical scope of information. Now may I comment on the coolest hat of the inauguration. What a great brim.

Why is everyone wearing purple?

Virginia   January 17th, 2009 2:42 pm ET

I am so impressed by today's coverage of the Obama Express. The commentary has been of great historical scope, the questions raised by Anderson Cooper have been incisive, the purple ties on Wolf and AC are sharp as is David Gergen's pink poka dot tie and fabuolous hat.

Why all the touches of purple.. it is really lovely. My daughter and me would love to know if it is symbolic of a certain theme

Great job today CNN! Wolf and Anderson, put some hats on! Its too cold. Please help us find the Candy Crowley live blog, as we cannot locate it anywhere. Great job, from your friends in Round Mountain, Texas, population 308. We love CNN! Give us a shout out!!!!!!!

Nathalie Dionne   January 17th, 2009 7:23 pm ET

why is Michelle Obama wearing a purple scarf today? and Anderson and Wolf wearing purple ties?

Cindy   January 17th, 2009 7:39 pm ET

I amalso trying to find out the significance of all the purple ties, scarfsand clothing. I have googled and came up with nothing.

Anderson & Wolf always coordinate ties before they report on the air together. It's like a tradition.

Get in your two point position and have fun !

Purple = unbiased. Red and blue makes...

Annie Kate   January 18th, 2009 12:50 am ET

I hope it warms up for all of you. Anderson looked positively blue a few times. I like the way Obama is reaching back to past presidents and how they did things to show a continuity with his presidency. It makes you realize that the office stays the same from President to President even though they put their own personal brand on it for their tenure.

I too noticed the purple motif on the very first day of the inauguration weekend. Michelle was wearing a purple dress and gloves, Jill Biden had purple gloves on too... Anderson and Wolf.. It has to be more than just the mix of blue and red (for neutrality)? Purple is considered to be a regal color.. Maybe it's that... But in some other countries (Italy, to be specific) it's considered an unlucky color... On the other hand, Italy was obsessed with purple this past year.. so who knows. Any other ideas?
