It's very unfortunate, but it looks like the resources in Washington, DC are going to be focused on politics, over and above solving the financial crisis, terrorism, or something minor, like our national security. During these dangerous times, this generation is really faced with a choice. At a minimum, we should all demand that our elected officials get to work on the nation's business. It's only our future that's at stake.

Dante said it best. "The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis."

From mankind's very inception,this world as we know it, has been in "Crises Mode",it's just that the latter day scholar's have unsuccesfully tried to,"marry reason with reality? Remember ,the road to hell was," paved with good intentions". The problems of all past generations have been of their own doing. Complacency is a dangerous ,and hazardous component of our "Human Nature",especially in the last hundred years, but we do have the ability to control it! Our countries problems are certainly not insurmountable' in the relm of past history. What is grossly problematic in America's political system is, "The Rudder of Leadeship" which desparately needs an overhaul! the founding principle framer's of our great constitution,never thought that future (politicians) leaders would share in this countries decisions from cradle to grave,...?
