January 6th, 2009 12:14 am ET Well I wonder how many of these people in the hospitals overflowing with casualties are some of the same people who asked the world for sympathy for their cause, who asked for the world to come to their rescue, who asked that israelies be condemned for their actions which they have taken to defend themselves, and I wonder how many of these people were the ones dancing in the streets during the fall of the twin towers during 911. There is an old saying " you reap what you sew". |

January 6th, 2009 1:09 am ET Seeing kids like this is a tear jerker. These people need an airlift of medicine, water and food. There are legit groups forming to help, and you should check out these groups first. The I suggest people do what they can to donate supplies and food, or the funding for that. |

January 6th, 2009 3:09 am ET Anderson, while you are there, please spend a day in Sderot, a real 24h there. Please keep in mind that once you hear the sirens, youhave 15 seconds to find a shelter. Spend a whole day there, and try to imagine leaving that every day of your life during 8 years. Put yourself in the children's shoes, who have always been living with that in mind, where is the closest shelter? Maybe if you dare trying it, if you go there, you will understand the truth about what is going on. Israel is just protecting her citizens from being terrorized by Hamas. |

January 6th, 2009 8:08 am ET Being a civilian in a place such as Gaza is surely terrifying. With only a tiny element of the population aggravating the Israeli's to the point of war must be frustrating I'm sure. We are fortunate here in North America that regional or civil wars have not broken out in the last 60 years and I'm sure the whole situation over in Gaza is chaotic at best. I hope the Israeli military can get things done quick....and realy start to evacuate the wounded civilians. You and your crew stay safe over there Christiane, truly excellent reporting .......you are my favorite. |
