The AC and Kathy G's coverage was amazing last night, Loved it!

One of your highlight photos on this page reads "Andersion and Kathy.....'nuff said". I have to take issue with that because enough CAN'T be said about how totally entertaining the show and the two of them were on New Year's Eve from Times Square. With all due respect, A.C. makes a great straight man for Kathy, and some of the banter between them had us laughing hysterically. In an age where the only thing other New Year's Eve shows offers is an assortment of rock bands, some even taped, and where it is difficult to watch a TV legend struggle through his show, CNN, Anderson and Kathy have given us a first class entertainment event with "no bull". Party hats off to this team and to the entire CNN crew on the scene for letting us put 2008 behind us with a big smile!

Judy from Halifax, Nova Scotia   January 1st, 2009 12:18 pm ET

It was a fantastic show, right up to the very end; make that especially at the end. Erica beating away a lizzard (tongue), the guy in Key West kissing the transy on the cheek, the guy on Burbon St. throwing beads at the 'minions'. It was all great stuff. Oh, Anderson, Kathy asked if the Clintons invited you over for GAME night, you know like monopoly; not some other kind of night. And then when you did a "you said What ?1?" Kathy thinks you missed the word 'riot". The whole flippin' thing was a r i o t. Great goin' team. But oh dear, how are you gonna explain that outburst by Kathy to the heckler regarding what kind of work 'he" does ?? Oops. Now that is one unscripted moment. But you did try to save her from herself and tell her to ignore the guy – but oops, Kathy didn't play ball on that one. Who woulda thunk it ? Happy 2009 everyone from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Happy New Year to all of the amazing gang at AC 360 !!!!

You guys have all contributed in makng my 2008 a better year and I am sure you will carry on in 2009. Fact is, I am counting on it.

Anderson, I hope your ears are not frostbitten, poor thing. And um, what do you think Kelly will say when she saw you dancing with Kathy? Yikes. Heh heh...

Only thing I missed was hearing how Gary and his darlng daughter Samantha made out with the run. If you can let us know tonight, it would be much appreciated.

Merci beaucoup for the picture of the gang in Times Square. I see you Jack Gray! :P

I enjoyed her irreverance and Anderson's 'discomfort'. :-)

earle,florida   January 1st, 2009 12:24 pm ET

Heather,ca   January 1st, 2009 12:27 pm ET

I have to say 2008 was pretty bad and your New Years Eve show was just the medicine I needed. Between Kathy almost reaching the goal of getting Anderson fired by midnight and watching the celebrations, it gives renewed hope that this year will be better. Thank you for making me laugh till I cried. Kathy and Anderson are golden. Yeah I loved the awards contest. What can I say you have the best New Years Eve program on tv. Thank you Anderson, Kathy,Erica etc. Cant wait for Dec.Happy New Year.

Amy & Dave   January 1st, 2009 12:29 pm ET

We were laughing so hard when Kathy was teasing Anderson. Definitely a great show and the banter between Kathy and Anderson had us in a really good mood as my husband and I rang in the New Year.

Cherisa   January 1st, 2009 12:32 pm ET

It's always a treat to see the less serious side of Anderson. Thanks to all for a great night. Happy New Year!

Bob & Debbie from PA.   January 1st, 2009 12:37 pm ET

The wife and I were station jumping after midnite and came across Cnn from Times Square with AC and Kathy, and we really enjoyed the coverage. As previous comments stated-I agree, the other stations we simply could not watch! Great job to all.

buzzwaffle   January 1st, 2009 1:01 pm ET

Kathy and AC are great! Keep Kathy coming back or I won't watch:) Happy New Year!

Mike, Orlando   January 1st, 2009 1:33 pm ET

Kathy and Anderson were great – hope they will be a new tradition for New Years at CNN.

Janine from PA.   January 1st, 2009 1:39 pm ET

How long will it take Mr. Cooper to recover from his evening with Ms. Griffin? I wish him well.

Bob   January 1st, 2009 1:46 pm ET

Anderson, I hope you didn't get frostbiteon your ears...they were really red last night!

Teri, Lakewood WA   January 1st, 2009 2:01 pm ET

My husband, our 2 daughters & I loved the show last night...Last year was great but this year was even better!

We laughed through the whole show....from Kathy & Anderson's banter to Sushi in the red shoe, the belligerent guy in New Orleans , the fun run in Central Park

We hope to make this a new tradition.

Thanks!

Loved the show last night, well for me it was this morning since you started at midnight my time.
Stumbled across this show last year, loved it and HAD TO watch it again this year.
Erica fantastic job of crowd control!!
Don Wonderful seeing you!!
KG and AC it was delightful and if you two are on next year will definately watch.
To the entire crew it was worth freezing your unmentionables off!!
Excellent job and I look forward to viewing AC360 2009.

Nicole, San Diego   January 1st, 2009 3:41 pm ET

I have to echo the comments above, the show was hilarious! Anderson and Kathy have a great rapport. Look forward to seeing you two next year. Well done.

Jennifer - Michigan   January 1st, 2009 3:45 pm ET

Happy New Year 2009!! The show was very entertaining last night. I especially liked Kathy's unscripted humor and then pulling out the dreaded cue cards with all the off-the-wall questions. Very funny – lots of laughs. Good job! Great way to ring in the new year, even though I was nursing a puncture wound to my palm (shucking oysters), ugh! Very stupid on my part to attempt to shuck them without a glove on – lesson learned. However the oysters were awesome and my husband shucked the rest for me. Hope you all have a great New Year 2009!!

Perry   January 1st, 2009 3:59 pm ET

You guys made me laugh the most I have all year! Andeson Cooper was giggling! Kathy is a riot and I just love her.
You are all a great team and everyone was a good sport. I guess the people in the crowd who were rude and enjoying their beverages were part of the fun from my comfortable sofa in Houston. Happy New Year to all the wondeful people at CNN. Wolfie thanks for calling in....

Kim CL Illinois   January 1st, 2009 4:32 pm ET

It was too funny watching AC and Kathy.
Poor AC, your ears!!
Kathy & AC are great together, but I wonder if AC thinks so? :-?
We all have a crush on Anderson and his boyish charm.
Did you have fun AC? I watch and wonder if Kathy is too much for our sweet Anderson to handle.
Kathy was in rare form and hilarious! Love her!
Thaw out and come back next year.
The 360 Team also did a good job out in the crowd.
Happy New Year!

Carol BC Canada   January 1st, 2009 4:40 pm ET

Happy New Year!!! Last night was awesome Anderson and Kathy...what chemistry between those two!!! Kathy can be direct, why would anyone expect anything different from her. They complemented each other well. My greatest laugh was the off camera, mike still on banter between Kathy and the heckler. Kathy's response was a trained response, she's a comedian. I thought they were great and refreshing to watch. Anyone who can get Anderson to genuinely laugh and give us a little insight into the everyday Anderson is big in my book. Seeing Anderson having fun was a great pleasure as he is always reporting on serious issues. Good Going you two and thank you for a great show. I think these two should co-host more together.

Carol Forney   January 1st, 2009 6:34 pm ET

Anderson, Kathy ...LOVED this New Years' Eve Show. If ever there

Megan Dresslar- Shoreline, WA   January 1st, 2009 8:19 pm ET

Happy New Year all of CNN team!!! Enjoy your day! :)

Michelle   January 1st, 2009 8:32 pm ET

Loved the show last night, but can't help wondering about the elephant in the room...anyone going to comment on Kathy's comeback? Though it was funny...it was not up to CNN's standards. That moment aside, I have to say I enjoyed the show very much! Hope to watch again next year!!

New Orleans Liz   January 1st, 2009 9:31 pm ET

Kathy and Anderson really shined New Year's Eve 2009; great show!
Thanks for giving New Orleans some play-time too.
One question though... I thought the bands were really good, but why was there no coverage of New Orleans music?

Stacy schneider   January 1st, 2009 11:42 pm ET

I know I had a few too many drinks, but you two were AWESOME last night!! I enjoyed seeing you (Anderson) let loose and chill out!! Kathy was hilarious as well!!

craig   January 1st, 2009 11:46 pm ET

Does anyone know what kind/brand jacket Anderson was wearing New Years Eve? That jacket is hot. He had the freaking name covered. Someone let me know.

Kaydee WPB, FL   January 2nd, 2009 11:24 am ET

I loved ringing in the New Year with my favorite Silver Fox and his "new best friend". Kathy is a riot and Anderson's laugh appears to be so genuine when she is making fun of anything and everything. I also enjoyed Erica Hill, she such a trooper for freezing her buns out there and of course the adorable and flirty Don Lemon, my seconf favorite CNN anchor. I just wanna put him in my pocket, he's so adorable.
