"Fun is the theme?" I must admit, I admire anyone who can remain standing, retain their thoughts and force the facial muscles to move long enough to talk and laugh out loud in below freezing weather. Add to the mix the tight squeeze of the crowd and the roar of the excitement..Yep, Fun is the theme. I've heard chicken noodle soup thaws the limbs and will restore them to room temperature! Happy New Year.

Thank You Kathy, Thank You Anderson – you both made me smile and feel glad to be an American, glad to be a citizen of the Earth and feeling Good here in 2009. Hope you two will make it a tradition to ring in the New Year.

Happy New Year to all. And thank you Anderson Cooper for bringing on Kathy Griffin, she brings her unique and by my judgment the best kind of humor to the show. Keep up the great work through out the new year, and it does not have to be a New Year to bring her on as a guest anchor every now and then!

Anderson you were amazingly in control considering you had to deal with Kathy. I almost tuned to Dick Clark *gasp* Please, next year, get yourself a more suitable escort, perhaps one less brash. Best wishes in 2009, I'll be watching 360!

steve   January 1st, 2009 2:38 am ET

I really am feeling for you AC, Kathy seems to be torturing you and enjoying every minute of it. Maybe next year you can team up with someone funny. I have admired your bravery but you do not deserve this gig!! Happy New Year! Hope you enjoyed my dog picture of Ivory it is an award winner!
