Live Blog from the Anchor Desk 12/12/08

We are big fans of the live blog. Anderson, Erica and the entire staff of AC360° enjoy reading your comments. We respect your opinions and love the feedback.

Keep in mind: every night we get hundreds of comments. Many get posted, many others do not because of space and time limitations. NEWS FLASH: there are other reasons. People are breaking the rules.

Here's a quick recap of the guidelines:

1. Use your real name.
2. Stay on topic.
3. We like criticism. But keep it intelligent and thoughtful, perhaps even constructive.
4. Don't write in ALL CAPS.

Yes, I know you can obey the rules and still not get posted. Refer back to "space and time limitations." Please keep trying – like I said we really do value your input. So, please scroll down and share your feedback on tonight's stories.

exactly what would happen if they broke the union and payed the worker's a mere $15-$20 an hour? maybe they would last longer than the month or two the bail out will get them.

Erica, You are right there are a lot of dogs who need to be saved. Breeders are not the best way to go.

I agree with Erica, I'm disappointed that they didnt use a shelter to find a puppy. I'm against breeding–it's just not right.

    Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Until all 6 senate candidates mentioned are identified, there will always be some suspicion that Obama hasn't sharred all he and his staff knows about Blago's boundings.

I know that the pooches have been a big closing for the show recently... but the Phelps' story was really intriguing.

Loved the piece with Michael Phelps. Amazing job Anderson. His personality really comes through and his Mom is awesome.

I thought you'd find live guppies in Phelp's kitchen cupboard – kidding aside he seems like a swimmer with his head screwed on pretty straight – but AC you could've beat him if he would've wore the gold around his neck – or if he'd of "tilted his head" at the end.

That picture is so cute. That face, that nose- he's precious! And the puppy isn't half-bad looking, either.

Evening Anderson, Erica and Bloggers and TGIF!
To answer your question about the Starburst Anderson I think we should just eat them. Hey I'll take any kind of food in this tough economy. But i will say that if scattered on the table they look like a star bursting in all kinds of pretty colors, so therefore it is a Starburst!

They need a Pomeranian in the White House! An orange one.

Anderson, that's not bad! If I tried racing against him, I would be off by 15 seconds at least.

Michael Phelps seems very grounded and down to earth, which is impressive considering his youth and level of fame and success.

LOL, aww, Anderson you're NOT middle-aged!

    December 12, 2008 at 10:54 pm |

I do enjoy that you call yourself a 'middle-aged mortal'

I love how Phelps says it's "not true" about the 12,000 calories, but in reality, it's 10,000 calories. Ok...give or take about 2,000 calories....no biggie!

How can Michael eat that much? I understand he works out and burns a lot of cals. But what about the size of his stomach?

Phelps makes me want to learn how to swim. It's going to be one of my New Year's resolutions.

That is a cool story about Michael Phelps winning that race by keeping swimming right up until he touches the edge of the pool. Literally winning it at the last split second.

@ Presley: Would you say "Reese's Peanut Butter Cups candies," or "Reese's Peanut Butter Cup candies"?

-grins- I think this debate is going to get to the point where it's going to become academic!
