Being such a large corporation, a large pay-out wont make a big difference to Wal-Mart, where it will make a difference is that if something like this were to happen again, that opens up any company involved in the same issue to more liability even criminal liability because with this horrible incident it becomes a foreseeable incident and stores will be expected to start taking further security measures.
