As a US tax payer I want to know why th e record profits GM is making in China ia not coming back to help sure up their US interests before the tax payer has to foot the bill? Another fleecing of America?

I am up to HERE with this poor judgement from our leadership. SHAME on them, and SHAME on our Congress that gave them billions of our tax dollars!!

Man, is this backwards. Our country desperately needs fresh thinking at all levels of government and business. This is just incredible. I'm not a spring chicken, but the "old guys" really need to go–they are their own best enemies.

You can add to that huge political lobbying payments and political campaign donations. Cap them all at a maximium in any one financial year, and campaign costs to be funded at state level for House and senate ( no interstate contributions) and By national government for presidential elections and rules for media coverage time wise, equals equal time for all candidates at pre agreed rates at the state and national level.
527 must be bi partisan and spend equal resources, money and time on support or against of all candidates state and National.
Then elections might be about issues and policies and not pure scandal and fear mongering.
The media unfunded by outside political bodies or sources can do its own investigative work, based on independently verified fact only not speculation or innuendo and get away with it if true or be sued if false under libel and slander laws.
Its called keeping them honest or digging deeper, but only when you have categoric fact not rumour and limited sources.

Are the management at AIG stupid or what! Fire them all.

AIG, and all of the CEOs (and their families) of all of the other "important" companies have some nerve vacationing via first class, having their fancy dinners and wine- while middle class America struggles to put food on their table! I'd return the Tiffany box and champagne glasses, to the nearest AIG office! (Don't waste a stamp!).

Not all of us were born with a silver spoon in our mouth...some of us have to "earn" a living!! Some of us don't get "bonuses"!

Send the money for Public School buildings ! Especially in our inner city ! Make sure the kids are okay in this economic crisis and have the resources and support needed ! The St. Regis spa ? Sheep wool,rum,wooden arrows and bike trails with repairs on race tracks ? Avotresaunte !

AIG's symptoms indicate Greedamongus; def. uncontrollable defecation, contagious and terminal. The only sure cure. Complete dismemberment. My recommendation is complete disassociation, Ted. It's for the best. AIG can't be helped.

This recent AIG gift-giving disclosure is one more reason to insist that oversight be a necessary component to any bail out program. Here's my question: Why is it that congress is demanding so much from the auto industry before they're willing to help them, but were so lax when it came to the financial/insurance industry?
