Maureen Miller
AC360° Writer

Here's my advice: Grab some of your kids Halloween candy (don't worry I won't tell them) and snack on it as you watch AC360° tonight. The sugar-high may help as you face the final days of the battle for the White House.

There are some new developments on the trail tonight.

Team Obama has kicked off an advertising offensive in these states:

- North Dakota (which last voted for a democratic president way back in 1964)
- Georgia
- Arizona (Gasp! John McCain's home state)

Obama campaigned in Iowa today where he won the first democratic caucus back in January.

"John McCain says we can't spend the next four years waiting for our luck to change, and he's right about that, but all of you understand that the biggest gamble we can take is embracing the same old bush/mccain policies that have not work and expect a different result. We've got to do something different," Obama said.

Meanwhile, John McCain is using star power on the trail. Today California's GOP Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was on the stump with McCain in Ohio.

The former bodybuilder had some pointers for Sen. Obama.

"He needs to do something about those skinny legs. We are going to going to make him do some squats," Schwarzenegger said. "But as if we could only do about getting some meat on the ideas. John McCain on the other hand, he is built like a rock," he added.

Schwarzenegger quickly got the crowd fired up, with this line:

"John McCain has served this country longer in a P.OW. camp than the opponent has served in the United States Senate. Ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, I only play an action heroes in my movie, but John McCain is a real action hero."

We'll have the raw politics and more tonight on AC360°, starting at 10pm ET.

McCain should have had Arnold campaigning for him before now – with lines like the "action hero". Of course, some people will say it gives McCain the aura of a cartoon figure and that matches how his campaign has run lately.

Thank you Maureen Miller for you insight.

John Mccain, Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, And now my own Govenor are one big emarressment.
I voted last week....I did not vote for anyone who is in office.
And I didn't vote for one Republican. That was a first for me.

I am so sick of McCains/Palin fearful slurs. These people are rich and mean. I hope we never hear of them again after Nov 4th.

Yes, Joe you make more moeny as a Plumber then a Techer, Nurse, Fireman, Policeman. That under the table money helps, doesn't it?

John McCain is a very rich man. Why does he drag his blonde 1954 Barbie Doll wife everywhere? Or Paris Hilton want ta be daughter now seems to like the cameras. She might lose some of that weight and not look so, 'rich'

Don't get me wrong...I dont' think Obama is so hot either. But at least he is not a Senior Citizen.

Let us all pray we get someone in the White House that will create jobs and stop name calling.

I have lived in this life for 37 yaers. I remember when gas was 50 cents a gallon. I voted last election and was counted, but this election I was denied access to vote. If you have a social security number in this country and work, you are an American; I don't understand! Mcain, yes, I give him honors for serving, but does he truely know me? I'am Demetrius not Joe the plummer. He say's that he has been tested ask him this for me; Where were you when I needed health care for my son??/

The real joke of this campaign, is that people actually think Obama, is the best amn for this job.

Debra Briggs   October 31st, 2008 10:28 pm ET

We need someone who has a vision for America and that is not McCain. Mr. Obama has a vision to bring this country togeather not tear it apart if the democrats had spoken of the republicans like they speak of Obama the country would be in an uproar and if a female Democrat was as dumb as Palin on the constitution the party would have be destroyed and rightly so this lady is running for vice president of the united states can you imagine her talking to a leader from another country and they asked her a question that she did not have a scripted answer for now thats SCARY.
