We all love David Gergen!!

Jessi Klein speaks for many of us who have been fortunate enough to listen to David Gergen’s always sharp, reasonable and on target political commentary–he elevates any discussion he’s a part of and has a calm and reassuring presence even when what he has to say is difficult to hear. It is also great that he has such a good sense of humor–his reaction to Anderson and Jessi’s “surprise” was priceless. It will be interesting to find out what David Gergen’s ‘big payback’ to Anderson will ultimately be.

OMG…this little getcha by Cooper was awesome!! I mean it was really priceless! I loved that David was so embarrassed by it and was almost slinking out of his chair. It reminded me of when Anderson’s mom was on for his birthday and he was doing the exact same thing.

I can not wait to see Gergen’s retaliation. I hope it is as good. And yep…I did send him several suggestions. Hope we get to see it soon!

hi…it was ironic that you showed david’s admirer last night…i was telling my mother that i liked david gergen and felt he could run for president! he is very level headed, articulate and able to “see the big picture”.

I’m so glad that this video was posted – I only caught the very end of the clip early this morning. And I confess – I also admire David very much. He has this poise and dignity about him that is so attractive. There’s much to be admired, that’s for sure.

I concur with Jessie, Gergen is a woman’s dream for mental stimulation. Keep up the good work, Gergen. Love you too Anderson.

The Gerg rocks!

I could not believe it last night when I heard this. I am a 30 something that just loves David. There is something soooo trusting about him. I almost block out the other people on the panel and focus on his words. He has a great way of educating and giving a non-biased perspective. I would love for him to have his own show! Where has he been hiding all these years? Love you David- you to Anderson!!!!

I remember seeing this on mediabistro and I knew I would see it again. If David was blushing you couldnt tell,must have been a extra coat of makeup!

This segment brought me a great laugh last night – one much needed laugh after all the depressing news we’ve been getting from every direction these days. David’s reaction was was the best and I’m glad to see he’s still got his humility. )

As I was watching 360 last night in my ritual nightly manner I was suddenly aghast when whatya’ know someone verbalized my very feelings that I have secretly harbored for such a long time. DAVID GERGEN YOU ARE THE MAN! It is not only his silky smooth voice but his calm, dependable, rational ways that I do so love. David, you deserve all the applause you get. You are the best!! Flat out…Chicks dig him! I’ve found that woman like a well spoken, gentle but assertive man who speaks what’s on his mind. Not what people want to hear, but tactfully making a point, and backing it up with experience and truth. I’m jealous.!….. David I need to start hanging with you.

David, you should get Sharon Osborne to tape a similar message for Anderson. She loves him almost as much as Jessi loves you.

I would feel more comfortable with Jesse Klein as VP than Sarah Palin. At least Klein will sit in front of a camera and hold an actual press conference.

The reason why so many of you people “love” Mr. Gergen is because he is now “in the tank” for the liberal media. He didn’t used to be–and I used to listen carefully and tended trust what he said—NO LONGER. I am sooo disappointed he can no longer be an independent and unbiased thinker.

Me toooo, me toooo I have to agree…. David Gergens voice is absolutely velvety and very soothing… And he is always “cool as a cucumber” under any circumstances and in any however heated discussion…!!!!! Love his voice, but my heart belongs to Anderson….:))

No, no I AM David’s first admirer. I am so glad I caught this last night because I told my husband a month ago there was something about David Gergen! I get so excited to see him after the debates because his voice is so dreamy. He needs a talk show all to himself for us lucky women:)

I think David is really astute when it comes to politics. Whoever wins the Presidency should hire him and I really am hoping that it is Senator Obama. You know that his opinion is unbaised and real.

Add me to the list of not-so-secret-admirers. I have been smitten ever since I heard Mr G speak in DC during the Clinton years. Agree with all the accolades above. Especially loved the comment after the debate when asked what McCain should do now: “beats the hell out of me.” Agree with those who say he would be perfect for Meet the Press. Kudos to Jessi for giving words to the phenomenon and to Anderson for making it widely known. Also, a shout-out to Candy — those two are the best and I often wish we could hear more from them!

Over the last months, I have literally told my friends that I love David Gergen! His measured responses, intelligent and bipartisan response to issues, his kindness! Amazing grace.
