Anderson,

About your 10 Most Wanted, why don't you identify the ones who sponsored and voted for the bills that resulted in deregulation of these institutions. They are the biggest culprit. List them all so we know who we need to kick out of office.

Good for McCain in defending Barack Obama, but is anybody going to point out that "Arabs" and "Moslems" should be defended as well? Even President Bush has pointed out that our Arab and other Moslem Americans are essential in the war on terror.

Anderson,

Can you imagine if Senator Biden had been found guilty of abuse of power during this campaign? Obama would be crucified. Hypocricy! The press has spent nearly a week on the ethicas of the Republican attacks on Obama (and that is exactly McCain's crew knew would happen) and have ignored the fact that Govenor Palin, the one who began these attacks, could be impeached in her own state.

Journalists, quit allowing the Republicans to wag you by your tail.

The top ten list is kind of cheesy too. There's no way you can name the great number of people involved unless you did this segment for over a year.

Sarah Palin has been pushing the "trust" issue with regards to Senator Obama. Now with the release of this finding that she (Governor Palin) abused her power with the citizens of her state, she is now silenced on the issue of trust.

Hello everyone -- as always, it is bracing to read your comments. Several of you made an important point that the commission that investigated the Sarah Palin/trooper incident was made up heavily of Republicans -- a 10-4 majority, you wrote. I should have known that but didn't; thank you for informing me. It does give the report extra weight.

I don't know about you but this whole controversy about William Ayres is becoming very stale. Yes, he was a Weatherman and some of those Weathermen were responsible for a bombing that killed people. By the time Barack Obama met him, however, Ayres seems to have been largely rehabilitated -- or certainly become an acceptable member of society. After all, the University of Illinois -- hardly a radical hothouse -- had named him to their faculty; Mayor Daley -- one of the country's best mayors -- sought out his help on reform of public schools; and in the late 1990s, he was named citizen of the year in Chicago. For Obama to serve on a couple of non-profit boards with him and to be hosted at his home for a coffee that helped to get his legislative race to get started hardly suggests that Obama is a radical. These Republican attacks don't seem to be working, and for good reason.

Final point: good for John McCain today in taking on his own voters, trying to calm them down. We need a lot more of that calming.

I believe that Sen. Obama's lead as per the poles has shifted the strategy of Sen. Mccain campaign he realizes that discrediting and aligning Sen. Obama with terrorists, etc is not mainly the voters concerns. He now has to play the "nice guy" to contrast Gov.Palin's "bull dog" behavior which is a "turn off" to many voters. ERT

Hi Anderson,
It is troubling to see all the anger that the repubs are generating. It can't be good for our environment or their mental health. Let's hope that calm and reason returns to the race.
have a great weekend

Senator McCain probably just realized that he has a political career outside of the Presidential Election, and since more people are paying attention to the process hes more accountable for his actions. If He loses he may find a hard time getting reelected back here.
