As McCain walked up the stairs to his Russell office, I tried to ask him a question. He refused and very emphatically said as he kept walking, “I mean it. You’ll have to excuse me. I’m serious…Thank you very much.”
A senior aide looked at me and joked, “It’s not like the old days, Dana.”

September 25th, 2008 3:14 pm ET “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” This is the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America (aka the law of USA) and due to the failure to comply with this (and the rest of Constitution), the President and Members of Congress support of special interest groups are responsible for the mess we are in. “We the people of the United States of America” should file a class action lawsuit charging them with malpractice. |

He wants us to believe that he, “The Maverick”, raced into Washington on his Maverick to repair this nations economic crisis! What he wants to do, is yes get on his Maverick, but to ride as fast as he can away from the debates. Obama will be present at those debates as he should be. If the white haired Maverick pulls a no show, well that can only mean that he has his tail, or shall I say mane, between his legs! Like the old saying says you can lead a horse to the debates but you can’t make him speak!! |

It’s not the old McCain . …Well, it is the “old-old” McCain but not the Maverick of 2000. He is more like a lame show pony. You follow him all over the country on the straight talk express only to come back to right where you started and its no more nice guy. Not even talk, just no comment basically. I don’t think it’s a new day. McCain has been on the road the entire time. Right now it’s Sen McCain getting back to reality and you were just doing your job that you have done the same way the entire time. Id say welcome back to doing your job. No campaign ad can spin this. Great job trying to do your job Dana! |

I would be willing to bet that there has been some “behind the door” agreement for Republicans to act like they can’t come to an agreement on the bailout and let McCain “ride in” and settle the Republican bickering. He can then ride in to the debate on his high horse….what a mess! McCain is flailing like a drowning man….so desperate. I don’t think he can multi -taske. Isn’t that scary? |
